Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 17 of Haikyu!! OMG Daichi!!!! I'm glad he's not concussed but his tooth, omgggg :O Meanwhile Ennoshita steps up, and I've gotta say, he might not think he has what it takes, but he's out here trying!!! Speaking of trying, Yamaguchi fumbled a little bit here, but I still say he's making progress!!! Let's see what we can do here - the air definitely feels a lot more tense in light of all the recent events!! Good stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

I could see that! Oh yeah good call about the blood! That's a good point about Ennoshita, sometimes the best way to learn is in the field (or on the court in this case). Ennoshita really stepped up for Yamaguchi!! Yeah Seijoh is way easier to say isn't it?

Oof, I hear you, that kind of sentiment adds up quickly doesn't it? I can relate as well! LOL the tooth emoji for Daichi had me cringing and rolling all at once! I knowwww I feel kinda bad for him right? Like yeah, he wasn't in the wrong exactly....it's just everyone on his team holds themselves to really high standards.

Of the second years Tanaka and Noya are regulars. We see three other guys that are on the sidelines; Ennoshita being one of them. We did see one of the other guys playing in the game— where Kageyama got hit in the face with a ball. He subbed for Hinata. But Ennoshita is like THE representative of those who want to play and love the game just as much but couldn’t take the strenuous work when it became too much. I felt this exploration in my soul. It became work and whats the harm in missing one game, maybe two, until you become complacent and funnily enough ending up missing it after a while. And it’s hard getting back to it so props for him going back after likely a hefty break. Most of us relate to this feelings. He has some big shoes to fill while Daichi is out 🦷 Poor Yamagauchi. He didn’t do anything wrong but I can see how he’s wanting to fight like the others do, yet can’t help that feeling of just hoping for the best outcome by taking a safer route. 🏐

Johzenji at the start has a fear that the team they just lost to would get beat quickly and then they’d probably feel worse about losing themselves. Karasuno overall has a well founded fear about losing Daichi for a length of time. Sports have come quite a long way in the past decade in terms of concerns about head injury and trauma, and possible concussions, so it’s protocol to have anyone who might have hurt that area get checked out if there’s any doubt at all. Honestly, Daichi’s tooth falling out and his mouth bleeding is probably the bigger concern and why he’s being held out. Remember, you can’t continue to participate if you’re bleeding for any reason. Ennoshita is worried he won’t be able to live up to Daichi when he subs in and is thinking about how he let everyone down before, but perhaps it’s precisely because he’s done it before that he knows what to do now. Some experiences only teach you after they’re done. Yamaguchi has one thing and it’s the serve - and Ukai flew off the handle and went to accost him for not giving a hundred percent, but Ennoshita stepped in for him. Sometimes being in charge means building a mediation between two parties. Right now he needs positive reinforcement, sometimes it’s a good idea to drive it home, but it can have an opposite effect as well. Plus someone’s gotta keep these crazy first years in tow… Oikawa’s team is Aoba Johsai, but they also go by “Seijoh,” which might be easier to remember. :)
