Haikyu!! 2x07 "Moonrise" - reaction & review

Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 7 of Haikyu!! Oh dang guys, we're FINALLY getting to know Tsukki! (Also, clever wording with the title there, seeing as how his name also means moon!) You just know there's a sad story about his brother coming! He must have a good reason to not be putting for the effort he could be. He has so much skill in terms of a good build and a good mind! Can't wait to know more! Good stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

I was kinda thinking it too! Hmmm yeah I'm wondering about Tsukki! It's too bad the conspiracy backfired lol, they were so close! Oh that's actually a good one about the same book lol! Ahhh not the cliffhangers!!!

Yeah the uphill running looks intense!! That's the thing, they have a lot of room to improve but that's a good thing too! Yeah Tsukki has the opposite issues of Hinata! Aww you're right about Asahi! I get that there's a bit of a rivalry, and yeah, no one wants to get left in the dust as Hinata evolves!! I love that Asahi took this moment that was his!!! Everyone's determination is so high right now!! And yeah, it helps minimize the crashing lol. Omg watermelon season is coming!!!!!!!!

The first training session with the other schools the team that lost had to do diving drills as a penalty. Here whichever team loses has to run up the hills. And they are losing big time. 🏃🏃‍♂️🏃 Yeah, their struggles here means better things. Everything isn’t going to be perfect at first, especially in a match. But they can only get better right? Really interesting observation from Kuroo about Tsukishima. As someone who has what many consider to be qualities of volleyball player has taken himself out of the running versus someone like Hinata who is often underestimated at first glance due to their height. This is often overlooked but I always loved how Asahi is the one who kind of pulled everyone together in the end here. And how he was the one to talk to Tsukishima before the ending match here about competing with Hinata. Given Hinata’s whole thing was striving to be the ace at Karasuno like Asahi, and both Hinata and Tsukishima are middle blockers, it makes sense to kind of see them as rivalry in a way. I like that they’re acknowledging his growth. Hinata lit a fire under the team. They see that’s he’s changing and don’t want to get left behind as well. Of course, I love seeing Hinata striving and hungry for the ball; however, Asahi making his presence known and asserting dominance is also important in that same regard. He’s not the only one making strives. It’s not only showing that Hinata isn’t the only one looking to aim for the top, but with everyone being so motivated now, it helps minimize cases of serious collisions in a match. So that’s a lot of stress off me too. 😮‍💨 Now I want watermelon 🍉

I failed to bring this up in the last episode but - am I the only one wondering if Daichi and the captain of the girls’ team are “more than friends?” I spent most of the last episode describing what’s going on, but it’s basically the start, or REstart of each convenient timeout. There is a clue in the episode regarding what’s going on with Tsukki, but unlike the others - he doesn’t seem as motivated. Now as for why, we’ll, I can’t tell you that yet. Cause that would spoil the fun, and we wouldn’t really want that… So Nekoma’s captain is part of a conspiracy to get Tsukki to practice? Unfortunately it backfired here, but he’ll get a couple of good looks at least. Karasuno keeps running up the hill as a punishment for losing their sets or games. So in a way, this is helping them build. So if you’re going to get everyone on the same page, first they need to be found in the book. Cheesy metaphor but it’s past midnight, so I’ll wrap up here. :) PS: Not so much this show but just wanted to let you know almost every show airing is cliffhanging the heck out of their audiences. It never ends. 👀🤣
