Haikyu!! 2x06 "Tempo" - reaction & review
Added 2025-03-25 02:07:43 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 2 episode 6 of Haikyu!! Oh WOW you guys, I didn't know we were gonna get to work with the grandpa like this! I absolutely love how Hinata and Kageyama came to the same conclusions and each tried to better themselves respectively. And kudos to the rest of our team for also working really hard to get to the next level! Even our coach is learning! Good stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

Lol you know it! That's the thing, it's not that cut and dry right. I can't wait to see it all in action!!

But know it’s time to change things up. They just have to find a way out of this to make it happen. Ukai Sr. and Oikawa’s input were eye opening. Hinata and Kageyama matched each other so well. I don’t think anyone else could “bring out the best in one another” as they did. But expanding on accommodating for the spiked and understanding basics during this time apart may do wonders. We’ll see. 🏐

2025-03-25 21:41:55 +0000 UTCMaybe check the episode number off screen between the end your opening speech and hitting play, so this little “am I on the right episode” panic doesn’t happen as much? 😉 Coach Ukai has a few bit parts in shows you’ve watched, nothing too major: Wang Chan in JoJo, Sasha’s father in AoT, and the father of the journalist who was writing incendiary articles in Spy x Family. Kageyama’s natural face is still enough to frighten a child. XD The most potent part of this episode is about self-analyzation. For example, we know how good Hinata and Kageyama are as a duo - but they need to grow individually, apart from each other. They need to check their own abilities. There’s going to come a point where they have to be the ones adjusting in-game to the situation. Also, what if Suga’s the setter for Hinata? What if Kageyama is setting for someone else? It is a team game, and no one wins by themselves. We’ve hammered that point into the show. But that doesn’t mean you can’t work to improve on the parts of your game that are lacking, and almost everyone has picked up on that… Even Oikawa got annoyed at Kageyama’s attitude despite beating him - a lot of this is just common sense. Work on what YOU can fix, and know what you can’t control isn’t your job to worry about. And if all else fails, remember the words of wisdom Tanaka said: “Don’t fight in front of the vice principal. Literally, fight anywhere else!” 😅
