Dr. Stone 1x20 "The Age of Energy" - reaction & review
Added 2024-12-11 17:17:11 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 1 episode 20 of Dr. Stone!!! WOW you guys!!! To think that we took the ruins of that fire and made something SO sweet out of it, not to mention it's all practice for our bigger plan! First ramen, then cola, now cotton candy?! Senku's got the right idea! Interesting about his gesture towards Homura too. And WOW, it just goes to show that no matter who tries to stop it, there will always be clever people who "invent" things like the waterwheel! Dang! We just automated a LOT of our processes!!! And Senku didn't even prompt it!! Can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

2024-12-18 09:09:38 +0000 UTCHAHAHA clearly that was the highlight!! LOL this was a very different ep of Camp Camp :P I love that even if it wasn't likely to pan out, Senku tried to extend an olive branch. That is so true, I love that no matter what, people will always think and invent! I feel like Tsukasa doesn't really believe they had no knowledge of Senku's survival, but I'm glad there's enough doubt to keep them alive. I can't wait for more!!!

2024-12-18 09:05:30 +0000 UTCMan, what a crazy roller-coaster kind of way to start. From the heights we started off with last episode to the lows we start off on this episode as the entire village is on fire....Only to be brought back up due to a little help from the Lady of the Acid Lake. ...It's funny because I always, ALWAYS think upon rewatch the thugs got spared by the adaptation before Hyoga was like: "NOPE!" ...Wait, did he just kill those three teens? OR WAS THIS TECHNICALLY SUIKA'S FAULT?! O< XD I'm so glad Gen is in the group now. ToT He really does add a nice dynamic to the group, not to mention he's from the modern era. So of course he's going to have the best reactions whenever Senku says they're going to make the most randomly out of pocket tech for this kind of Stone Age. ...The cotton candy made me wonder if there's going to be a Cotton Candy Gochizo. xD ...Where can I sign up to eat the left over cotton candy? But You gotta love when Chrome's protagonist side shows itself. o: Senku might've stolen the show, but Chrome can steal that spotlight pretty damn well. Also I'm not sure if I mentioned this last time, but Byakuya has a Manga Mini-series! If you ever get Dr.Stone Withdraw after finishing the series, it might be something to consider reading. o: The battle is over for now, but the war is far from over. ...But forget that, most importantly, the science is far from over! o:

2024-12-13 04:37:54 +0000 UTCI think we all buried the lead here - clearly the highlight of this episode was Gen doing extremely lifelike Tsukasa impressions. 🤣 The way Senku was distributing cotton candy to the villagers reminded me of a certain Camp Camp episode - I mean this isn’t nearly as sleazy but I think you can see where I’m getting at. Also one of the drawbacks of Stone Age technology: a world without candy. These people clearly had no idea what they were even missing. Senku even used the cotton candy as kind of a kind game on Homura - but I think he genuinely just wanted to extend an olive branch, even if he knew there was ten billion percent no chance she’d flip to his side. Maybe one good turn deserves another. The thing about science is, you can’t stop people from coming up with ideas. It’s how we got here in the first place. The only difference is that Senku is kind of like looking at the test answers page without doing all the trial and error but Chrome and Kaseki still managed to create a saw with the iron and use it to make a waterwheel. This is a good thing because we have to get a lot of people wired. And not just off candy. Keep in mind the villagers also have to prepare for winter, which means, food, shelter and clothing. As for Taiju and Yuzuriha and their predicament, the timeline adds up that they seriously could have not had any knowledge of Senku’s revival, which is why Tsukasa just said, keep an eye on them, but didn’t take any further action. Welp, now that we’ve got a generator, things are going to ramp up ten billion more percent, I’ll bet. This show is exhilarating. 😁

2024-12-12 04:30:09 +0000 UTCLoved seeing their reaction to the cotton candy. What I love is that Chrome proves that even if Senku was killed by Tsukasa, Tsukasa cannot prevent science. People will discover, use, invent, reinvent and improve. Of course, things are much faster with Senku and his super human 10 billion IQ but at a steady pace or turtle pace people would still evolve. Senku is really proud of Chrome.
