Added 2024-12-10 22:23:58 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to ep 14 of Kamen Rider Gavv!!! WOW you guys!!! Nothing could've prepared me for the twists in this one!!! From the AMAZING new cake form, complete with cool whip ninjas and whipped cream squirt gun (......), to Shita actually being taken out, etc. - this was a big one! Not to mention we have confirmation that Suga is working for Nyelv!! Which to be fair, a lot of you guessed, so not all that surprising...but still!!! I'd say they really lived up to the Kamen Rider Christmas standard!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Yeah they're not holding back on anything!! It really is hard to believe we're at this point. That's true, from Jeeb's point of view, this is the worst case scenario. It really does make sense to put him in this position. This is the perfect time for an upgrade! Adding extra drama would be savage but seems like something they'd do! Hahaha yeah the whole whip situation was just an interesting choice all the way around :P Hahaha imagine that, that they didn't call extra attention to it! XD OMG Sachika would put on that belt right now if it was in front of her! This girl gets things done!!!

Even when the foreshadowing shot had me guessing if one of their deaths was going to happen sooner, I would've guessed that it'd take like 5 or so episodes to get there. ...It can't be the end of act 1 already, can it? I'm banking on a Rider upgrade. Why? Because what else would be worse for Jeeb? That one day it seemed like everything will be fine as long as Jeeb and Shita had each other... But the Red Gavv, the one they used to bully, the fly whose buzzing annoyed them to no ends... Ended up becoming a real pest that they couldn't swat away. The weak little Red Gavv after running away... Had ended up turning around and started to fight back. Fight back harder and harder and harder, until well... The Red Gavv took Shita away Jeeb. Jeeb's at his lowest point. Sure he could get a monster upgrade to his Granute Form, but... well, where's the juicy drama in that? ...So why not have Jeeb at his lowest point do something that's absolutely horrible *to him*? Why not push him to the point he's willing to do anything to get stronger? To do ANYTHING to get that edge on Shouma? Why not make his low point even LOWER when the only way he can catch up to Shouma, the only way he could avenge his sister's death... Is by becoming like her killer? Not in terms of personality of course, but in terms of being a rider. I can imagine there'd be some SPECIAL hatred born from this. Hatred at Shouma, hatred at his own weakness, hatred at the fact of what he has became, and hatred that this was really 'the only choice' Jeeb even had being pushed to this point. And you could add some additional drama... Like maybe Jeeb thinks this is his punishment for not doing enough for Shita. I just don't think you can get that level of hatred if you give him the Monster Upgrade. But yeaaaaah... Unless if the whip part was more like a ribbon, or the whip part was CGI... So children would just have to use their imagination as the toy makes the whipping sounds. xD If I recall, they didn't call too much attention to it... Which I'm surprised about. o: Right?! We've seen how little she tolerates monsters/thugs bullcrap, is it really unbelievable that she wouldn't put on a Rider Belt when given the chance? xD

The large ones, believe it or not, I found at places like Barnes and Noble and Game Stop!! And my shirts are usually from RedBubble, it's hard to find good KR shirts!!!!!!!!

I guess I just wasn't expecting it so soon too. Oooh def seems like the time for Jeeb to get an upgrade!! Hahahaha I guess this is slightly easier to market than an actual whip, but still!! Ohhh I didn't catch the crown cake thing! I really feel like we could have some drama because of this whole secret thing! Oh man, for real, how could we not want her to be a Rider at this point!!!! The bat alone had me giddy over it lol!!

2024-12-18 09:27:53 +0000 UTCI feel like Nylev having two identities would've been a great twist though... I mean, it's not like the human disguises are DNA locked to certain Granutes, right? We've seen that one Clone dude change disguises! Personally I think he's working for him too... But to be honest, it really does feel like Nylev is being Suga's enabler. I'd say he's a bad influence, but this is Suga we're talking about here. I didn't know if we were going to draw out their 'seperation' or not... But if you got a pair of evil twins villains that are going to die by the end of the story, of COURSE it's better to kill them one-by-one so you have the surviving twin go off that deep end. xD That's where you get that juicy drama, not to mention those scary moments of the twin going off the deep in. ...It's just good fiction. o: At least for these kind of shows, LOL. I'm just wondering how much further I'm going to be right on this theory... Because if I am, Jeeb's about to become a real nightmare if he wasn't already. Here's hoping he gets that upgrade! Yeaaaaaaah, it's pretty ridiculous. xD It's just one of those times where you have to appreciate the design aspect and how it fits the theme... To keep from giggling about how he summons the Whip Party. ...But I still want to see how they would've made a Toy Whip marketed towards kids, especially if you can crack it. xD I would have been curious to see the engineering behind that toy. As the CaKing Gochizo says: "AMAZING!" ... Also did the show point out how in Shouma's memory, the little cake he drew had a crown on it? I think it was in the previous episode if they didn't show it in this one. I'm hoping Bubblegum is one of the forms. o: I mean the belt freakin' chews! xD I feel like Valen and Shouma get along a little too well, so this is only the real way to create some primary vs secondary rider drama between them. I bet Suga's on his way to spread some malic acid all over that sugary sweet friendship they got going. :c ....Also I know some people are like: "You know, not EVERY important girl character needs to be a Rider. :B", but when Akane grabs the bat like that ready to go on some town on some potential thugs for Shouma...I mean, HOW DO YOU NOT WANT TO SEE HER BE ONE?! xD

2024-12-15 21:58:45 +0000 UTCThanks about OBS, honestly as long as the subs are visible, I'm probably gonna leave well enough be because it was really awful trying to get OBS to even record on a new machine lol, I kinda don't wanna mess with it :P Yeah it was unlikely they'd take Shouma out but still...!! That was my thought, it was his feelings that really made that cake OP! LOL it's a tongue twister but as a weapon it's hard to beat! Wow, that other translation is more brutal! LOL they did get frosting! OOHHHHHH it might be too soon for a Shita death pun but that really is too good :/ Yeah they're not the same person, but just how do they know each other...? I'm guessing Gavv will be 50ish, I'm not sure how I'll be doing it exactly when I get back but I do hope to get caught up to current after I come back!

That's true, maybe Shita isn't really gone...but it's still shocking! I think this will be a really dark path for Jeebh! My guess would be working for him but we honestly don't know from the context they gave us. Sour Stomach omg!!! It fits!! Yeah you were pretty much right on with your theory about the twins! Ohhh that would actually be super meaningful if there were elements of Shita in the next upgrade :'( I figured the whip was for whipped cream, honestly the whole weapon was a bit difficult to take seriously :P But still pretty fun! OMG you're so right, this is totally final form worthy! I can't even imagine what they have in store next. I know, they really need everyone on board, no more secrets! You were right, now Hanto knows about the Stomachs, it's only a matter of time! Truth is always the best option!!!

Honestly, the beginning of this form remind me a lot of Iron Gotchard or Geats mark II, not in the look, but for the way they were portrayed, the staging, the drama, the way they feel powerful but also draining. But IG and GMII appaered around episode 26/27, the correspondence for Caking is more like Super Gotchard (with Ufo-X first) or Comand Twin for Geats (the glasses and sword things), so yeah, Caking have a way better entrance than them for sure. That make me wonder how will look the forms that will be superior to... THAT. Also, yeah, with this form, Shoma could finally make humanoid minions, just like his siblings, but there is more you will see next episode. Speaking of sibling, I didn't except that Shita will sacrifice herself to save Jeebh and more, that she will die (if she is really dead, we haven't seen a body). It will be interesting to follow what Jeebh will become, now he have lost her, he might become more unhinged (and dangerous). But it's still sad that they didn't had a good childhood either. I won't forgive them to be p.o.s to Shoma and humans, but that the way they were educated too, it's not really their fault for that. Now, Shoma have a way more kinder big sister, Sachika, because just like you, I see her more as a big sister for Shoma than a love interest (but I was wrong for Rinne and Hotaro). The fact that even here who doesn't like to fight back, was ready to take her bat and fight for Shoma, that's adorable (just like her bat). Also, on the big brother side, Nyelv just watched Shita die, do we talk about that ? He didn't try to help, he just watched it happen and don't seem to be bothered by it... He prefer go to Suga. What lead me to another question, the "Suga-san" seem to indicate that they know eachother, but it's not confirmed yet, next episode will be interesting if they answer this question.

2024-12-11 10:24:57 +0000 UTCFirst thing before I forget: your OBS looks okay, but it does seem the screen capture’s too low by a smidge (go back and look at the actual place in this episode where the episode title is put on the screen after the intro - it’s too low to see the translation). Needs to go up a little if you can adjust it. :) I think we all knew they weren’t going to kill off Shouma this early, we’re just beating him up. I actually called Hanto using the ramune candy he happened to get last episode - also I think those Gochizos left in the forest were a result of that. I imagine there might be a link between the overpowered cake minion and the fact that he baked it himself. If that’s the case imagine what else he would do if he became a professional baker. But making Sachika happy isn’t a bad thing. Bejeweled baseball bat? Say that five times fast. Also the translation I saw was a lot more threatening: it basically told him if you don’t come settle this, we will hurt many more people until you do. The real tragedy is their anger is completely misplaced - they were treated pretty poorly or ignored by the rest of the family, and it seems like Shouma literally attempted to befriend them. Sibling jealousy on a whole different level. I told you things would get a little frosting. Get it? Also we did actually see him make the frosting ninjas but it took you another minute before you realized they were there. “You can’t have this cake and eat it too, I’m telling you!” Well, that might be true but… I hate to say it… Shita certainly did… bite it. 😬 As far as the Nyelv/Suga tag, we’ll we know they aren’t the same person. But the translation of the conversation I saw indicated Suga was somewhat surprised to see him at the door - like Nyelv had tracked him down or something. Im gonna reserve judgment until I see how this interaction goes. As far as the schedule, I don’t know the number of episodes, but Gotchard had 50, so if Gavv is the same they’ve already used their two week allotment for the year. I just hope they stop putting major plot threads in the movies like they did last year, since nobody over here gets to see those in sequence.

To T), I can see Nylev finding Suga and being like: "Oh, he's JUST like me frfr." and has been giving him information just to kinda see what happens. See what he creates, what he builds. I doubt it's for good intentions though, unless... Maybe Nylev is an undercover cop? Huuuuh? Huuuuuuuuuuuuuuuh? o: Or is he just straight up working for him? I mean I was wrong that Shita would be the surviving twin, but I originally guessed Jeeb until that one shot in episode 12... And technically, both my answers were right. Jeeb WAS going to die first, as that one shot foreshadowed... But Shita jumped in and saved him. For sure he's going to go off the deep end, and I feel like this is the lowest point he's going to be at... I bet he's going to be open to a lot of changes, especially when it comes to possible upgrades to smash Shouma. He's going to fight and fight to the bitter end... ...Though watch him actually survive the show. - .-; ...Anyways, if I'm going to guess... You see how Jeeb and Shita's eyes glow? I'm going to bet the next time Jeeb's eyes glow, it's going to be white and blue. Like I said, I'm going to bet some Shita parts will be used in this upgrade... ...I mean, I feel like at some point he's going to dress like Shita as well. xD It'd be a good way to crank up the creepy twin factor. ...ANYWAYS! CAKING! The Gochizo fit for a King! ...REAL disappointed in the weapon. Not in terms of quality of the design, it's fine for it was... But it was listedwhen Gavv started to sell it's merchandise and had no promotional pics of it until very recently. From the name 'Whip'... Well, I was kind of curious how they were going to make a whip toy, I just had to know how they were going to do it. ...I see they must have meant 'Whip' as in whip cream. ToT ...But I love this form! I feel like if this was Heisei Phase 1, this would be Gavv's final form. And you know what? It wouldn't be bad if it was! I love the gold, love the standby, and I love the ability that he can actually summon minions. xD I see they all got that Gavv base underneath that vague Alice-In-Wonderland Card motif... so... I wonder how many Gavv Costumes they have on standby... ...I feel like at this point, they HAVE to tell Akane about their secret.. ...JUST LIKE HOW SHOUMA SHOULD'VE TOLD HANTO THE TRUTH, BECAUSE OH LOOK! Hanto just found out about Stomach Inc! Now Shouma's *guaranteed* to be in a little hot water when Hanto finds out Shouma's connection to them....WHICH IS WHY SHOUMA SHOULD TELL HIM NO-Oh, Shouma's going to wait until it's too late to peacefully talk things over, isn't he?
