Added 2024-12-10 12:27:45 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 1 episode 21 of Haikyu!! OMG I LOVE what Suga brought to this!!! This could've so easily gone that Kageyama got mad/bitter/jealous or something, but instead he LEARNED from the way that Suga assesses a situation, reads the players around him, plays to his team's strengths, etc. And by the end of this ep, Kageyama was ready to go again. Suga's such a real one! Def in my top 3 characters!!! Great stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

Oh ok cool thanks for the tech info! I didn't notice that in the animation, I wonder if it was a mistake? That's the thing, natural ability is amazing and it's totally different from kind of honing a skill from scratch. Yeah he knew exactly how to play Kageyama!! Right, both work in really efficient but different ways. Mr. Refreshing lol!! Love the nicknames!

2024-12-11 12:45:29 +0000 UTCYou mentioned you were confused about the set: if you look at the scorecards they flip over there are three numbers. One team’s points are on the left, the other is on the right. There is a third number between those point totals that indicates the set number. For example: 25 1 21 would indicate the team on the left won the first set. Also the two questions to ask about who scored: 1. Was it in or out? 2. If it was out, who touched it last? I think there may have been some animation sequence errors in this episode, I think I saw a couple times where Karasuno hit the ball four times in succession, which is not possible. Of course the crux of the episode deals with Suga. Like Oikawa, he isn’t a genius either. I think I kind of understand what they’re saying, Kageyama has a natural ability. It’s like being an artist, not everyone can do it. But he got here by being observant and working hard. The biggest change is he knows exactly how to push the right buttons with his teammates, since he’s been observing all this time. Kageyama doesn’t quite have that outgoing personality. He’s very analytical but it’s harder for him to communicate. I think they both realize the team is better with both of them, and they don’t have to shoulder everything. Each of them bring different approaches to the table, but neither is ineffective. Every once in a while, it pays to change it up with the dude Oikawa nicknamed Mr. Refreshing. As far as getting a “next time,” you still have to win in order to get that chance.
