How awesome do his glasses look btw?! And furthermore, Hyoga seems like bad news....seems Gen's cover is blown, but in the most spectacular way! He's such a real one! And omg we have katanas now!!!! I'm so happy we got those and not guns!!!! Can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

Omg Pillar Teens :P They're like evil Muppet Babies or something hahahha. I agree with what you said about guns, overall katana was the better choice. Hahah ooohh noooo it'll be so awful to have Gen around full time :DDDDD It is actually kinda done like a villain reveal which is wild!

Love that Suika's still rocking the helmet! I mean, I guess this is an enemy of my enemy situation with Magma. Kohaku is the BEST!! Exactly, like our side is organized, loyal, communicating, etc. - Tsukasa's is all over the place. Because frankly, he's not a great leader and doesn't know how to organize people that way. He's better off as a Tarzan type living off the land lol. OMG I need the Suika and Anya spinoff!!!

OMG thank you so much for all the VA info, that's wild!!!! Who knew how many common roles there were between all these actors! I knew about Tsukusa's but the others are a real surprise! Hahaha that's awesome, you're the expert when it comes to MHA for sure!

2024-12-15 00:01:06 +0000 UTCWell, that's the story of Senku's Dad... And as I've said, it's a tragic tale. However even after the end of the world as he knew it, Senku's Dad still haven't changed. Much like how he exchanged his car so Senku can have his science set... Well, he *still* was willing to sacrifice so much just to give his son a bit of a chance. Auuuugh, I gotta move on before I cry at work. xD BUT! Now back to more Scie-Oh that's right, we're in the middle of a war between Tsukasa's men. How ironic for Tsukasa's right-hand man to rely on a fighting style that requires a special tool and a bit of know-how in order to wield it crazy-effectively... It's pretty much a science weapon, if you think about it.. Primative, of course. In terms of competence... Like Tsukasa, he's a Jojo Villain. But the question in... Is he a Pillar Teen like Tsukasa? To quote Samurai Cop: "What does Katana mean?" "It means Japanese Sword." ...I'm glad they mentioned that little tidbit about the steel-folding and how it's done after the first few folds. xD A gun might've been a good deterrent... But chances are, we'd probably have to load it like a musket or something. It could be good at scaring people or hitting a target, but not so great if people start charging at you in between shots. Katanas are much better in this situation. Durable(as much as a Katana is), can break stone age weapons, and still have a pyschological edge against the Stone People... Not as much as a gun, but I'd still rather not fight someone with a Katana. xD And oh noooooooooo, Gen's cover has been blown! Drat! Dang... I guess that means he'll have to stay in Ishigami Village. How terrible, I guuuuuuuess we'll just be seeing more of him around. O: ...I love his reveal, I mean it's such a villain kind of reveal, wasn't it? xD But you gotta love the audacity he had to be like: "Why would you say that I betrayed you? 😢" When he got found out.

2024-12-10 14:25:55 +0000 UTCThe first thing to do here would be to pinpoint Hyoga’s VA since you asked: the reaction roles you’ve seen him from are Akira (Demon Slayer) - he’s THAT demon from the end of the Mugen Train arc - and Guy (Slime). There’s several “cavemen” but I’m not sure which is which so I’ll avoid that for now. I believe you may have glossed over this when the first attack began, but Senku noted he was using the LAST of their gunpowder on a bluff. So after the first encounter, he’s out. Kinro is all “rules are rules” all the time, but in this case it actually ended up being a benefit because he was on guard while everyone else was partying. The bluff seemed to work, Senku’s biggest enemy, regardless of what he’s doing, isn’t others - it’s time. Which is why Gen’s manipulation is so crucial to his success - and you get to see first hand just how underhanded he is, but also how useful. He might be a liar at heart, but hey, he was at least honest with everyone up front about how shallow he is. Hyoga, according to Gen, is equally as strong as Tsukasa, but you also see the level of intelligence he has. Unlike the others he’s not a mindless brute who attacks without a plan - even with Kinro’s glasses he got overwhelmed. In fact if Senku wasn’t there Kinro might’ve ended up at Quindecim (VA crossover, had to do it 😉). Also Suika got new glasses but they’re in her headgear again. It’s part of her charm. Magma is still all about himself, but the others actually know how to use that - basically right now the whole village is in danger, so point him in the right direction and plan accordingly. While he’s basically distracting Hyoga, Kohaku is doing a whole death from above thing while analyzing the attack in mid-air. (Go on, tell us how much you love her already, don’t deny it. 😃) Of course, none of this is possible without Senku sending Suika on a super dangerous undercover mission to get a small knife to Gen, while Kaseki’s busy getting thick over katana making (ok now I’m positive they used that dialogue on purpose). At this point, Senku has a battle team, a crafting team, and a undercover team - and unlike Tsukasa’s team who didn’t even try to reinforce they know how to support each other. Science isn’t a one man show, the idea needs a lot of work to become a reality. PS: Am I the only one thinking Suika and Anya would be really good friends? 👀

The entire reason that the army had to wait for a storm, was because the village would not be able to use their guns (if they had any) during a storm, because with such a primitive model, the wind would mess up every shot and when they started the attack and Senku was standing on the bridge, he was still deceiving them about the guns. He pretended to light one, but the wind blew out the fuse immediately, so that's exactly what would have happened with the guns. AND to quote Senku "I can't believe we're using the LAST of our gunpowder for a bluff" so, this was all they had, Senku couldn't have made guns even if he wanted to or without the storm 😅 But there is SO much going on in the episode, it's easy to miss ^^ And for my usual Voice Actor talk: (as always I only know who shares the same VA in the English dub xD) Hilariously, Hyoga has the same VA as Principal Nezu 🤣🤣 (checking my Excel sheet right now xD) Oh, hahaha Shamil has the same Voice as Endeavor 🤣 Oh, and Connie has the same one as Melissa Shield :D Already mentioned Lillian and Mina, but not Byakuya and Mr. Compress 🤣 Gen btw (don't know if I already mentioned him) has the same VA as Sir Nighteye! Magma shares a VA with Iida 🤣🤣 (Kinro would have fit so much better xD But in fact, he is voiced by the same guy as Tokoyami 🤣🤣 And Ginro is voiced by Justin Briner aka Deku 🤣) Ohhhh I totally didn't remember that Kohaku has the same VA as Hagakure! :D and.. 🤣🤣 the English voice for the cute doggy (who's name btw is Chalk) is voiced by the same woman as Froppy 🤣🤣 And Suika has the same voice actress as Pony from Class 1B ^^ And Ruri has the same as the blonde girl from Ms. Joke's class (who's VA btw voices Sulfurina xD) that has like that turtle quirk xD (Tatami Nakagame) I've definitely mentioned Senku (Suneater) and Taiju (Lemillion) before, but I don't think I mentioned Chrome, who's VA voices two MHA characters: Kaibara from 1B (the guy whose limbs kinda turn into drills) and also INASA (idk how you are with names, the wind guy from the licensing exams that can't stand Endeavor xD) 🤣 Oh and while the Japanese VA for Tsukasa is suuuper obvious (Hawks and Gojo), the English VA also voices Shoji (who definitely leveled up a lot last season 😁) I think those are all of the more relevant characters that share English VAs with MHA characters that you've met so far 😅😅🤣🤣 But there are still more to come! xD (And yes, I know way too much about all these characters, especially MHA xD I know aaaaall the names and Quirks 😅🤣🤣)

2024-12-06 00:58:09 +0000 UTCOnce again a knockout episode with all of the major characters thus far coming together for another confrontation at the entrance of Ishigami Village. Such a smooth transition from giving us the deep lore on the village and Senku's dad, to diving right into the reality of Tsukasa's army coming at any moment to wipe out science forever. Tsukasa and his valiant army are here sooner than they think...but he's got a general, another villain by the name of Hyoga. With that, all hands on deck for the Stone Wars. Gen is such a wildcard at this point of time, help ally help enemy? He sure can go both ways, but depicting his true nature as a mentalist. So, katanas and a little kimono imagination work, and yet Hyoga's spear did an edge over them. Little did he know of Gen and Senku's combi attack. So an early victory for Senku and the Kingdom of Science. What will Tsukasa's Kingdom of Power retaliate in return? Pretty excited for this arc.
