Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to the sixth episode of Death Parade! Oh wow you guys!!! This one really had me going - it seemed like maybe we were doing a different kind of arbitration at first, and my mind went wild with theories lol. But wow, what a goofy one, I love it!!! Definitely sounds like a fanfic waiting to happen to me :P I'm so curious as to what the heck happened to these two afterwards?! Can't wait to see more! Great stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hey Leonie! I couldn't agree more, we needed this ep! Yeah her being in the intro threw me off too! She really comes off here as just a nice normal quirky girl, it's so sad! What an awful way to die, so embarrassing lol. I think you're right about Harada, he got an overinflated ego and was undoubtedly overwhelmed by the kind of life that being an idol presents. He did come to his senses though, which is a great thing! Dang, blowing him up was just so over the top! Yeah I thought for sure he'd be an a-hole to the end! Ginti definitely cares less about being understanding and more just about the manipulative aspect of getting a judgment. Oh are those the nesting dolls??? Ok cool, glad I didn't miss anything with the judgment!

2024-11-16 15:00:02 +0000 UTCGood to know about the VAs! Ginti and Decim are certainly pretty different. I think that's a good way of summing it up. Ginti def takes a bit more glee in making his customers squirm! Oof, yeah, this must have been the Oshi no Ko ep lol. I think that's a good way to sum up Mayu and Harada. Ok good to know I wasn't crazy! LOL what is going on with the cat! OMG the way Mayu died was so dumb, I feel so bad for her!!! And idk, that might just be a me thing about being concerned what I die in. After all, that's your ghost outfit forever!!!!

2024-11-13 13:03:38 +0000 UTCHey Melissa! You finally watched one of my favorite episodes of Death Parade and I think this episode is a breath of fresh air in the whole anime, because it's pretty dark in some parts, but also so funny at the same time and it brings some comedy to the rather darker series. I was also confused at the beginning as to what role Mayu would now play in the series, as she is often seen in the opening. I also didn't really know if she was going to be a new Arbiter, but she's just a normal girl who died and from very funny circumstances. How sad your fate must be to slip on a bar of soap and then break your neck. However, she wasn't a bad person at all. She was just a fangirl who loved her boy band a little too much. But other than that, you can't find anything bad about her. Harada on the other hand was of course the typical idol. I think someone who is not used to being famous can be overwhelmed by this fame, especially when you're as young as he is. Because I don't think he's any older than 20. that's why he pushed the fan love a bit into the background and actually got used to the fact that everyone loved him and thought it was nothing special anymore, which is why he was a bit of an asshole with his fans. Because of that he broke up with Kana, because he knew there were ten other girls waiting in line to date him. So his ego got a bit too big for his own good. But nonetheless, we saw that he really regrets the whole thing with Kana through the memories he regained slowly in the game. I think that her death really got to him and that he also reproached himself. But I can also understand Lisa's actions on the other side. Of course she wanted revenge for her deceased sister. But it's still no reason to blow him up. It was a pretty radical . I was very surprised to see that Harada turned out differently than I thought. I was really convinced that he really is an arrogant asshole who takes advantage of his fans. But I think the death of his girlfriend really made him realize how much influence he has over his fans. And that even a single smile from him can make his fangirls happy. Mayu also embodied the typical fangirl who would do anything for Idol and she also loved Harada's every move. But the two fit together quite well because they actually handled the game quite well as a team and they also wanted to save each other. Ginti really works very differently to Decim. Decim really tries to understand human feelings and to be a bit empathetic towards his guests. But Ginti sees all the games more as entertainment for himself and doesn't really have much sympathy for his guests, which also speaks for his character. Nevertheless, I find him a very interesting character who also shows that not all workers are like Decim and that everyone has a different approach to doing their job. I also noticed his many matryoshka, the various wooden dolls that stood on his bar. These are typical Russian wooden dolls that have smaller dolls of the same appearance inside them. That's actually a very interesting detail. You're right in that we didn't get a final decision from Ginti as to whether Mayu and Harada are going to hell or heaven. But you'll find out a little later. These two will be with us for a little while longer.

2024-11-09 21:02:28 +0000 UTCGinti's isn't different, he just found himself in the same situation as Decim, unable to judge these two. It's ironic, seeing as he was just judging Decim for it.

2024-11-09 03:12:06 +0000 UTCAnd with this we’ve officially arrived at the halfway point of the show. The more I do VA research, the more I’m convinced the “guest” casting are celebrity spots: because we got some heavy hitters this time. Mayu: simply put, one of my favorite seiyuus as she’s responsible for Lady Nagant (MHA), Emporio (JoJo Part 6), Hinatsuru - one of Uzui’s wives (Demon Slayer), Gyokuyou (Apothecary Diaries), Tome (Mob Psycho 100), Frieren (Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End), Anya Forger (Spy x Family), and Mjurran (Slime). That’s just series you’ve reacted to lol. Harada: Aqua and Ruby’s dad in Oshi No Ko, Light Yagami (Death Note), Yao Ling (FMA: Brotherhood), Chrollo (Hunter x Hunter), Douma (Demon Slayer), Sweet Mask (One Punch Man), Okabe Rintarou (Stein’s Gate) - I also recall you mentioning something about him performing the role of DIO in the Phantom Blood musical the last time his name came up. If you recall at the end of the last episode Ginti was shooed out of Decim’s bar, saying his guests were coming, and then Decim was told he had the rest of the day off. We kind of figured it from the last episode but Decim’s approach and Ginti’s are quite different. From what I can discern, Decim is empathetic without emotions, and Ginti is emotional without empathy. I don’t know if I quite want to say he reminds me of Denji, he was blonde to start with… I do get the Jotaro vibes though. He strikes me as a guy who really does not enjoy his work and just wants to get to clocking out. I remember Twister we used to play it quite a bit in family get together, although the elemental and pitfall additions aren’t something I remember lol. It seems Ginti kind of relishes turning the heat up on his customers so to speak. I’d also like to point out that when he did so he used the same kind of remote Decim used to sabotage the arcade games in Episode 4. Not only is there a Kana in this episode and a cast member from Oshi No Ko, but yeah there was also a suicide attempt, so there’s a lot of crossover going on here. Mayu struck me is someone who was just a normal person with a few natural flaws while Harada is a bit more entitled and didn’t really give too much thought until after the fact about how he treated others. He does seem to care but it kinda hearkens back to the woman from a couple episodes ago - maybe think a little harder about the consequences of your actions before you execute them. You aren’t crazy they didn’t pass any judgement on this episode - if I had to guess I’d say Mayu would pass but I’m not as positive on Harada. That one has a few more gray areas. Now that our Oshi No Ko crossover is done, how do you train your cat to do that? Also everyone please remember that the bathroom is the place in the house where the majority of accidents happens. PS: I’m going to blow your mind on this one but Mayu died stepping into the shower. Yet she showed up fully clothed. What’s the determining factor for that? Also women actually worry about what they’d be caught wearing when they die? That’s something I hadn’t thought about much as a guy, interesting. This show keeps making us think about the most random things, doesn’t it.
