Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to the fifth episode of Death Parade! WOW you guys, they had me going big time with that whole remembering Queendecim thing...!!! Who knew it was just a big test! And now we get a new character introduced! Speaking of which, we also see the elderly man from the opening here too....are he and Nona playing pool with the actual universe?! Just wondering lol! I'm also so curious about what on earth this ongoing story of the kids has to do with our girl!!!! Something's definitely up! Great stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

Omg I hear you, sometimes they just do a good job of giving a sad/wistful vibe! I feel bad for him too! And Ginti is a lot of fun so far!

2024-11-16 14:56:58 +0000 UTCThanks for the VA info and I fixed the title! Yeah they love to pull a good twist on us! LOL Decim and the secret shopper concept is hilarious! Yeah they're in an arbiter loop forever I guess :/ I think later on they explain that they had to wipe her memories so that she could get a fair judgment? (I just recorded the rest of the series this week) I know the connection with the dress/uniform now, although I'm ashamed to say I didn't pick it up until after the episode. Love the hints sprinkled throughout!

2024-11-16 14:56:00 +0000 UTCInteresting episode. I’m glad we got some more info on our girl. I don’t know why the story made me so sad. It was a happy story overall but I know something is coming up. Geez I feel bad for Decim. Nona is on him when it comes to his job. I mean I understand but in someway it seems cut and dry and it’s hard to distinguish certain things. So this performance review seems necessary but I don’t I guess I just feel bad for him. Anyway I love Ginti. He combats this environment well which I like.

2024-11-08 21:12:04 +0000 UTCYAY MORE NONA! Gotta get that out of the way first XD More info this episode, for example about Nona's past, how she plays pool with that guy (which is an AWESOME table + balls btw, would totally want), she's reading the same book as Assistant is dreaming about, they have "tests" for the arbiters (which it seems like Decim failed ...), and a new character Ginti! And I have to apologize, because Ginti's voice actor is not the same as Caesar's. They do sound a bit similar, but I was wrong. Seems like each arbiter has their own "power" eh? Ginti with his water and Decim with his spider strands. Not to mention Assistant's past in how she had her memories still so that's why she wasn't judged ... very interesting stuff. Oh and I almost forgot, there's another girl that Nona was talking to and her eyes were slightly different (instead of a cross seemed like she had an x instead). I guess she takes in all the deaths of the world and plays a different role than the others ...

2024-11-08 14:41:35 +0000 UTCQuick Note: the episode title on this post is the same as Ep 4. :) Voice Actors: Oculus (the guy playing billiards with Nona) - the captain from JoJo Ginti - Tokoyami (MHA), Reiner (AoT), Youm (Slime) Castra (the girl with the crazy mask at the end) - not too much, she played the Wind Hashiru and Genya’s mother in Demon Slayer. The VA for the fake guy would best be recognized as Bill Watkins (the huge first grader) in Spy x Family. You know, I’ve seen you sighing during your open like that before but I don’t think I’ve seen it since we wrapped up AoT. 😁 Apparently the assistant has been dreaming about this particular story for a while. We also saw Nona reading the same book in a previous episode. Just so I remember to say it, the story at the end seemed like a continuation of where she woke up the first time. I’m not sure what Nona and Oculus are doing other than passing time when they play pool together, but it seems it’s been going on a while. “I think we know all we need to know about this case. That kid is clearly innocent.” Us: wait for it… This show likes to pull the rug out from under you a lot I’m gathering. What I took from the whole exchange is Decim is being tested like a secret shopper checks in on a business. Are you doing everything that was asked of you, are you forgetting anything? Although it’s much more extreme. Nona also said something interesting; arbiters can’t stop passing judgements. So I guess they’re stuck in this career forever? The reason “assistant” is being allowed to hang around is she could remember she was dead. They didn’t tell us she remembered how she died, but the concept of her death was apparent to her, so that’s why her memories were “erased.” That’s not a good term, because the latent memories are still there, but maybe everyone else is hoping she’ll start recalling? It seems some people in the organization have a real problem with this, especially Ginti - but he can’t do anything about it. Also, it was implied there’s more than one bar where this is being executed (poor choices of words, I know). There’s a connection between what she’s dreaming and the story, but it’s too early and the show is going to make us wait I’m pretty sure. Although, that one different uniform in her closet… does it signify something? What would happen if she put it on? Hmmmm… this show has its morbid curiosities, but it’s really good at getting your mental wheels turning. 🤔🤔🤔
