Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 1 episode 9 of Dr. Stone!!! Oh dang!!! So we're making electricity!!! I've gotta say, I never knew I could get so teared up over a light bulb, but WOW!!! It's a beautiful thing! We also have a new character in our midst...can he be trusted?? Seems like he'll go wherever it suits him, but this could be really bad for us if things get back to Tsukasa!!! Can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

Don't know at which point in the Anime/Manga you are, but at some point in the future, you'll see her with her hair down properly :D If her Cosplay wasn't SOOOO difficult to do, I would absolutely choose cosplaying her over Ruri, but for my current Cosplay skills, Ruri it is xD

But I can see why you like Gen! I know right?! Like they just have to live in the dark and organize their lives around it - until now, when Senku conquers the darkness! OMG you are so right - we never think twice about all the advantages and luxuries we have now. I know, I was really going back and forth on whether or not to trust him in this one! Yeah he's wielding that "magic" quite freely! OMG as soon as he said cola I knew something was up! Tsukasa's suspicious for sure! HAHAH Senku's gonna pivot that flirting into more workhorses for himself :P The impressions were great! And Kohaku is always great!!!

2024-11-08 12:24:10 +0000 UTCVoice Actors: Gen: Muichiro - the Mist Hashira (Demon Slayer), Terunosuke (JoJo Part 4) Magma: Gigantomachia (MHA), Viviano (JoJo Part 6) Gen is a pretty interesting character and a fairly good commentary on how 21st Century Life works - basically, he’s looking out for the choice that will benefit him more. Senku and Kohaku especially see right through his little ruse, but I kind of like the fact that they don’t BS each other - he’s simply, “this is the situation, this is what I can do, and what would result from it. Now convince me you’re the better option.” Making electricity is complicated and took quite a while and yet, today, like everything else, nobody thinks about it (not until the power goes out at least - don’t get me started…) Fortunately, Gen is knowledgeable enough in Senku’s world he hasn’t forgotten a few manipulative tricks, and it was enough to hold off Magma… although Kinro losing his spear and Ginro taking him over the coals for it may not actually be productive… why do those two look related. A lot of this show is just a vehicle to think about what science and creativity have come up with, so think about how much it improves things. That being said, is anyone else going to notice the light bulb we just turned on…? Senku made another face, I think Suika is asking about harems again. 👀

And I will be delighted every time I see you wearing it. This episode finally introduced one of my favorite characters. Actually, it doesn't really mean anything when I say that, because I love all the characters from Dr. Stone. But Gen is another very special character who I would say is also a fan favorite. They've moved on to fighting the darkness now! Moreover, one step away from the muscle-generators, way to go Senku! I think I'm guilty of taking these light bulbs for granted, never really imagined how it'd be like in pitch darkness. But I think it's nice to see that this show is making an emotional impact, because even though it's nothing special for us modern people to have electricity every day, it must have been pretty scary for people back then to go out at night without seeing anything. And I think this moment, when there is finally light in the world again, is really very well realized in the anime. It also made me very upset, because we often forget how privileged we are nowadays and what we have actually already achieved as humanity. Unfortunately, it has become part of everyday life. And Dr. Stone reminds us of what we would actually be without these things. Our new little magician, Gen Asagiri, seems to be on course to officially joining Senku's Science Kingdom but I wonder how legit that really is. I'll be very disappointed if he turns out to backfire on Senku because of a Harem at Tsukasa's place, on a serious note. Hilarious though how he's managed to use his speciality on two occasions now, hopefully the villagers don't find him out. Hearing him say "Cola" was quite the shock though. Some really eerie facial expressions here and there though, I've to say. Meanwhile, looks like Tsukasa is having doubts after all. Some more gold comedic moments throughout the episode, Senku not holding back with his intent in response to that flirt was lol moment of the episode for me. Ginro's Gin blade and Anpanman impersonation due to that lacquer rash used as a sacrifice scene were hilarious. And Kohaku is just best girl as always!
