Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 1 episode 12 of Haikyu!! Oh dang guys!!! We get to see the rival team in action!!! I've gotta say, they've got some interesting strategies that really highlight some of the things our crew still needs to figure out. Like how they're so in sync and constantly analyzing their opponent so that they can pivot their moves. But speaking of pivoting moves, Hinata did SO awesome redirecting that ball that kept getting blocked!!! Like it's so simple, but the execution was amazing!!! Great stuff! Enjoy! ~ MH

Oh ok, thanks for the technical explanation! I'm not sure if they'd explained that before so who knows if that was really my mistake or not I guess. Good to know about the surprise attack. Nekoma totally has their act together while Karasuno is def still figuring it out! I'm proud of Hinata for loving the challenge and thinking his way out of it!

2024-11-07 09:38:39 +0000 UTCI forgot to touch on this last episode, but Suga’s discussion with Ukai had two motives: one, he wanted him to choose the person he thought gave them the best chance of winning, but two, he said, I don’t care if I’m not the starter, but I still want a chance to play when the opportunity presents itself. There’s a couple of technical things to go over here: first, you were a bit taken aback when Nishinoya slapped Tsukishima on the way off the court. So when a player subs in or out they touch the person they’re subbing for until the referee acknowledges the change. (It’s also to benefit whoever is keeping the score.) in this case, as I mentioned before, the players “rotate” every time they score a point on the other team’s serve. Nishinoya is meant for back line defense, so you don’t want him up front by the net with his height. Tsukki subs in for him for these three rotations, and goes out for Noya on the next three. At one point Kenma did what they referred to as a “dump.” Normally the ball is hit by the team with it three times before going over, however there’s no rule saying all three hits have to be used. He basically just tipped the ball on hit #2 and nobody was ready to stop it. Surprise attack. I can see why you’d get the impression that Nekoma wouldn’t be able to beat Karasuno without stopping the 1-2 combo of Hinata and Kageyama. However, Karasuno is fragmented, they have a lot of pieces but no chemistry, meanwhile, Nekoma has played together a lot more and understand how their pieces complement each other. They’ve finished putting their puzzle together while Karasuno is still putting the pieces on the table and figuring out how they fit. Hinata getting blocked used to be a problem but now he’s relishing the chance to problem solve. He’s getting there, but there’s still fine tuning to work on, as while he got a good hit over the guy marking him, his serve was out so the point went to Nekoma. He seems to somewhat be enjoying this, though. Just remember, they’re already down a set, so another loss and the match goes to the cats. Again, just another reminder reiterating that the previews are safe and you had started watching them for this show., at audience recommendation. :)

2024-11-06 04:07:44 +0000 UTCYeah see before Hinata completely put his faith in Kageyama by closing his eyes and trusting that the ball would be right there when he spikes it. Now it’s developing into something else. It’s all about adjusting now. The last ball went out of bounds but it means so much more that he was able to figure out a way around it in his own time. It’s cool to see how much this practice match with Nekoma is helping them to grow. 🐦⬛ 🗑️ 🐈
