Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season 3 ep 2 of Vox Machina!!! Oh dang, we've got lots developing here you guys!! Not only did our mission swerve again and become an even different mission, but we've also got some side stuff going on with Percy and the pepperbox dilemma, Scanlan and his daughter, etc.!!! So now we're after the REAL vestige! Can't wait to see more! Enjoy! ~ MH

Thanks for the info! That is interesting that two of my series are covering this topic isn't it! I can't imagine what the end goal is for Orthax! Oh ok, I didn't realize the emprex had a dragon! I thought they were trying to say they were a dragon lol. It's sad that Scanlan keeps striking out when it comes to his daughter! I'm not sure about lasting effects, hmm. This ought to be cheery and fun for sure lol!

It'll be interesting to see where they're taking all the new character dynamics, as well as the overall plot with the baby dragons and all! Thanks for the info on J'mon and their VA! LOL your reaction to their appearance is on point! Oof, yeah, seems like that's the plan with the whole gun thing :/

Interesting about the differences in the meeting in the campaign! Oh so we're just cutting right to the chase here, wow. That's so fun about the Easter egg!! I love that they do stuff like that!!! Can't wait!!!!!

I gotta say Scanlan really has come in handy in rescuing the group. Like really he’s saved their butts a lot. He deserves another drink and a bucket 🍺 🪣 🤢 🤮 Alright go to hell Vox Machina! 🔥 ☠️

2024-10-21 11:12:01 +0000 UTCGoooood, I can’t get over the new theme! It’s so freaking good! So yeah, Ripley’s partnered with Percy’s old buddy Orthax the shadow demon. That was a fun reveal in the campaign. “Oh remember this thing from like 40 episodes ago? Yeah he’s still around.” Pike yelling “Agh, my tit!” when Ripley shot at them is everything and perfectly captures her VA lol. Scanlan really wanting to be a father for Kayli is so sad, seeing him fumble over himself at every turn. Also his “Objection!” later in the episode is a reference to his VA voicing the main character Phoenix Wright of the Ace Attorney video game series, had me cracking up. VM meeting J’mon Sa Ord went very differently in the campaign, instead they had to fight them as a test. J’mon themselves are different as well, in the campaign I think they’re explicitly male but they made them NB here which is neat. Now we need to go to hell to get the real vestige, sounds like a fun time. And like I mentioned last episode is different, cause originally they chased after the Cabal’s Ruin (Ripley’s vestige) and maybe one other vestige before they went to the hells. Also the song from the credits (that Kayli’s band played earlier in the episode) is a fun little Easter egg for those of us who have watched the campaigns after this one. Had me cracking up, didn’t expect it at all. Can’t wait for next week, so much to look forward to!

2024-10-18 13:25:10 +0000 UTCHi Hime :) And here we go again for the legend, with these first two episodes which set up the quest for the vestige allowing "logically" to defeat Thordak. Speaking of Thordak, Lance Reddick, the person to whom he pays homage at the end of the first episode, was Thordak's VA, but he had time to record all his lines of dialogue before his death, so we will still be able to enjoy his talent posthumously. There are several plots that will cross paths in this season, besides the romantic relationships whether it's Kiki and Vax or Percy and Vex, Scanlan and his daughter, Percy and his revenge with Ripley and Orthax or even the search for the vestige, the main quest remains to kill Thordak since his children are likely to hatch soon, so it's rather... urgent. So yes, a busy season awaits you. Well and I have to say this, but the emprex, J’mon Sa Ord, has a really... well-found design. As supposed by their title, they're non-binary character and the bonus, Mara Junot, their VAs are themselves non-binary. Suffice to say, like I said, when I saw them enter the frame I had a little Squidward in my head saying "Oh no, they're hot" lol. Also, about Percy, Ripley and building pepperboxes in series, I've seen other people react to it the way I reacted and I'm European, but yes, Ripley wants to turn Emon into USA basically.

2024-10-18 09:39:55 +0000 UTCSo, to answer a couple of your questions straight off: Gilmore is the one ally who teases Vax a lot, Kaylie is the name of Scanlan’s daughter, and yes, that IS in fact a new intro as you can see several of them using vestiges they acquired from S2. I realize we are talking about basically “guns,” here, regarding Percy’s dilemma with Ripley and Orthax. But they are commonly referred to here as “pepperboxes.” Either way it’s bringing up a argument that has existed for a long time - who’s allowed to have that kind of destructive power and what would they do with it? You’ve actually got a similar theme going on Dr. Stone. Isn’t it funny how your series line up like that some times? Gilmore was able to fool the first set of guards, but another one saw him when VM was coming out. That’s how they got caught. Also it seems that the guards are extremely powerful. What does Orthax actually want? I mean, it’s nothing good, I’ll wager, and so did Percy, which is why he created the bomb. But if that vestige was fake, then what was the power conducting…? Hmmm… I actually just thought I’d this. I have to assume Vex was reacting to the dragon the empress had, unless there’s something we’re not seeing. As for Scanlan he is making a mess of things as usual because he’s trying to connect with Kaylee but when your friends are in trouble it’s a distracting problem to have. Poor guy, he can’t get one moment to himself. Or rather, we all remember the last time he had one… Anyway, good thing he cleared up that misunderstanding, but Percy did get touched for a bit by it. Are we sure there aren’t residual effects of that? So I guess the real vestige is in “the Hells of Despath.” Sounds like a cheery place. I’m sure everything will go smoothly, because that’s just how this crew does things, right? …Right? 👀
