Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to MHA season 7, episode 18!!! WHAT?! What a freaking ep you guys!! Not only did we get some great stuff with Tokoyami, but we also got a stunning moment with Mina that brought things so full circle for her, some really great stuff from Shinso, and even a twist from Machia!!!!!! AFO is getting younger and more eager to wreck stuff while he can.....but omg HAWKS :(((((((( I cannot believe this! I can't imagine what's next but I'm dying to see!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Never thought I’d say this but god, Mineta MVP for distracting AfO for just a few seconds so he couldn’t steal Dark Shadow. Never thought Mineta would make me emotional but here we are lol.

I didn't get that far in One Piece but I'm familiar with the character. So cool that he even has toku on his resume, wow! OMG and even a Jojo reference!!! No kidding about the link between Jolyne and Kurapika, wow, it really is a small world!!! I didn't even realize what was happening with the acid at the time, WOW! They are so adorable!! I know, poor Mineta, he may get a little too freaky at times lol but he did try :(

Also that's interesting about the issue of her race/ethnicity in the fandom. Japan is very different from other countries regarding the amount of non-Japanese people who live there!

I love the role reversal with Mina and Kirishima, and yeah, I was getting sad dog vibes from Machia big time! Oooohh yes the livestream being LaBrava's plan makes sense!! I'm hearing that the VA for young AFO is Levi's from Attack on Titan! LOL poor Mineta, he tried :P Yeah Rewind has got to give him some disadvantages, makes sense about the damage he takes. OMG there really are quite a few messages going on!!

2024-09-25 03:14:23 +0000 UTCAre you sure you didn’t mean to say this season is going OVER the top? :) It seems that Uraraka, having a better understanding of how Toga feels, is more adept at finding her while she’s cloning. Also, she IS using Twice’s Quirk, she just can’t use the ability she wants the Quirk to copy. As the narrator said, she liked to see happy people, and there’s not a lot of that going around. The villain that enveloped Shinso - I might be wrong, but could that he the same thing that went after Bakugo in Episode 1 of the series? Since we’re talking about a small world… Gigantomachia does really seem like an abandoned dog, you kinda picked up the same vibe I got - on the flip side, I think you can see the reverse effect as Mina jumped in to save Kirishima this time. There’s a lot of cause and effect going on here, both positive and negative. So I don’t know if you picked up on it, but after the journalists showed up - it seems they have the same attitude as the business course and believe there’s a story here that needs to report - the live stream being fed around the world, however, was Gentle’s. Pretty sure La Brava had something to do with this. Anyway, AFO’s voice changed, so I wonder if it’s still the same VA? Given what we know that’s AFO sounds like that’s an impressive switch if it is. I think Lady is hurt worse than Hawks, but Hawks lost the Quirk, and now he’s after Tsukiyomi - Minera tried to sell AFO on the purple ball hairstyle, I don’t think that’s a look he’s approve of. 🤣 AFO did say however the more he gets hurt the faster Rewind works… so that probably should be kept in mind. For an action actiony arc there’s sure a lot of character stuff going on in the subtext this year… 👀

2024-09-25 03:12:00 +0000 UTCAlso (still watching) I can't wait to see if you picked up on Mina's Quirk Awakening! ^^ the way her horns grew, her acid turned purpleish (due to its strength) and for the same reason, her usually pink colored skin, actually started to lose its colour and you can start to see the whites of her eyes and her skin being white (sidenote: that apparently enraged part of the fandom, because some had the headcanon that Mina was somehow black and now that her dehydrated skin has been revealed as white, they are complaining. No one ever takes into consideration that the racial diversity statistics in Japan look a LOT different from the ones in (especially) the US and also the ones in the UK or Germany....) Quick Google Search gives me a rough percentage of black population for these countries: around 13% in the USA around 4% in the UK maybe less than 1% in Germany (not enough data available) In Japan, only like 2% are Foreigners at all, with black people making up less than 0.5% generally Therefore the Anime does quite accurately depict reality and while I get where they are coming from with the headcanon, it makes no sense to complain about Mina not being black, it's ridiculos 😅😅🤣🤣

Yep, that sums up Ochako and Toga well, especially since Toga has so far been shown more than once with a somewhat... psychotic smile, but it's precisely her tears that betray her this time, tears that Ochako had already seen last season... So yeah, AfO keeps getting younger, but without losing his quirks... How can you be so unfair to the heroes, luckily he'll get younger until he disappears, because otherwise he'd be too OP. By the way, his new young voice is Hiroshi Kamiya, who you know for Levi (AoT), but also well known for being Araragi Koyomi in the Monogatari saga (Bakemonogatari, Nisemonogatari etc.) and Trafalgar Law in One Piece. He also did some characters in the Tokusatsu world, mainly in the super sentai though (he is currently one of the villains in Boonboomger, the super sentai of this season). But he played his own role in a way, in episode 30 of Revice apparently. Another fun fact, he was the voice of Rohan for the Jojo games on PS3 before Takahiro Sakurai (the voice of Geto in JJK) took over the role for the series and the PS4 version of the game. Takahiro Sakurai who does Oshino Meme in the Monogatari series, so they know each other well with Kamiya and another detail, Jolyne was voiced by Miyuki Sawashiro in this PS3 version, Miyuki who also did a recurring character in Monogatari and who you know for being Kurapika in HxH. In short, the world is pretty small when you think about it ^^. Mina was MVP in this episode and if you pay attention, you see that she burns herself with her acid because it is too powerful, but also that her skin takes on a normal color and that one of her eyes turns white, her dehydration means that she is also emptying herself of her acid. She really gave it her all, even if it meant putting her life in danger. Even though you can count on Kirishima to support her, aren't they both adorable ? Also, a little mention to Mineta, who is indeed... Mineta, but who shows that he cares about his friends in this season, whether by apologizing to Shoji, but also by trying to protect Tokoyami.
