Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to the last OVA in this long-awaited series!!! WOW!!! A lot of this followed what I remembered, but the Avdol reappearance hit me out of nowhere! Honestly, what a great way to adjust that! I was wondering how that would work. All in all this was a good wrap-up to the Enya story, they even mixed a few other story elements into it from other arcs! And they end us right where the second half should begin, which was cool. I really enjoyed these OVAs!! They were just different enough that we can compare/contrast, and had a lot of their own charm - but they didn't change so much that the story didn't feel authentic or something. I'm really glad I watched them! Good stuff - enjoy! ~ MH

Hahahaha that's a whole different kind of vault!!! Yeah the vibe was much more stoic here. That's so interesting, what a plothole with the name thing! Maybe it had to do with the young/old woman thing though. I liked that we got more of Kakyoin and Joseph here! OMG I hope the chickens didn't become nuggets :(((((((( That's the thing, an OVA is a bit more flexible. Hahaha I rero'ed all the content! XD

The comedy with Enya was certainly jarring considering how sinister the scenes with her and Dio came off previously!! OMG the Avdol return :O I love how they brought him back! I really love how much spookier they made the ambience, really leaning into the whole zombie thing! Oh I'm glad I was right about that scene!!! So glad you enjoyed it!!!!

2024-09-25 15:17:26 +0000 UTCThese were good changes! Although this would drastically change the story, I preferred elements of how this battle was done. Don't get me wrong—I love the modern version—but seeing this battle in a more severe tone was cool. It's not that the spruced-up version wasn't, but the comedic elements in the beginning were something I never saw coming when first meeting DIO’s right-hand woman. I loved Advol returning here and the emotion behind his return with Polnareff. This was a great way to showcase his stand with the mist. The visuals were absolutely amazing and added to the ambiance. I have to say the Walking Dead were more involved in this one, which added to Enyaba’s intimidating aura. It really helped elevate the spooky, haunting factor that her stand holds. 👻 You were not wrong. We never got Joseph to visit Kakyoin to look for the Jotaro scene we got here. Overall, this part had a solid foundation regardless of accuracy. This was very well done. 🔥

2024-09-24 11:36:18 +0000 UTC“I’m putting some of this in The Vault…” Me immediately thinking of the Tantiss Vault on Bad Batch… :P I did notice that, especially with Jotaro in particular, the style choice was… and I’m sorry, there’s no way to avoid this pun… less animated. 😆 I know for a fact someone said Jotaro’s name in front of Enya last week - so, it may have been a dialogue error? Or, it could be that they said his name in front of the old woman and not the young woman disguise so that’s the explanation? They incorporated Kakyoin and Joseph a lot more in this version, they weren’t really too active in the original. Obviously Avdol comes back way different here, I guess he already… fried his chickens? 😁 The thing with OVAs here is they don’t have to worry as much about the constraint of time, while an anime in current form has to fit a precise window (usually 24 minutes), and they have to decide exactly what they have time for in each episode. Anyway, I guess now we can say as far as animated JoJo content… you’ve got it all… LICKED? 🍒 👀 /ducks and runs out the door 😜
