Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to the tenth/fourth OVA in this long-awaited series!!! Ok this one felt very much beat for beat, they didn't speed up the story or pacing at all! In fact I was pretty shocked that they're honest to God splitting this up into two parts! I wonder if they'll combine it with another story? This one was a dramatic one anyway, so having the more somber tone really accentuated it. The one thing I'll never forgive them for though, is cutting out the pig!!!!!!!!!! Haha! Good stuff - enjoy! ~ MH

It does feel that way! That's the thing, they're definitely not as heated here. Ok cool, I remembered that right about the horse. Also I agree they built things up more in the modern anime. Hahahah I know you weren't a big fan of all the poop stuff :P I mean, you've got a point there!!! Technically he does die anyway soooo.....hmm! LOL I'll try, but you know how I get with my intros :P

So true that it's great that they didn't take anything away from the Hol Horse/Polnareff scenes! OMG for real, like how does one even justify cutting out the pig?!!?!? HAHAHAHAHAHAHA omggggg you know they're gonna show him with the toilet too, like in WAY more detail than they should :O :O :O

I was a mess. I’m so curious how next week will work all this out. I can’t predict because they’re smooshing stories in some yet giving off different vibes with added small stuff. I’m glad we got that iconic exchange between Hol Horse and Polnareff xD I know it was revolting but how are you going to cut out the pig part?! That’s such an injustice. Man Polnareff better French the heck out of that toilet to make up for this. 🚽

2024-09-10 10:57:20 +0000 UTCThis one feels like they pretty much had the same script as the one the anime used with a few differences… I forgot to mention that Avdol and Polnareff in this seem to have a heated debate like they’re having afternoon tea whether they’re fighting or arguing: “good day, chap, I need to kill you” or “leave me alone, you’re bothering me!” Hol Horse was on a horse in the anime, not a bike - also they made a bigger point of building up J. Guile’s hatefulness in the anime. Honestly, the pig being cut out? When I originally saw that part, I almost stopped lol… I was that revolted. I kinda got used to the tone after a while. Ironically this is the one two parter you originally had to split over two weeks so that’s ironic. Here’s another question: do we have to do the part where Avdol revives? If we are only covering the first part of Stardust Crusaders, then is it vital to this particular story project to revive him? Something to think about. Remember next time that when you’re doing these how long the intro is - just say to yourself, I’m watching the INTRO! Bizarre Adventure - don’t lose your head 🤭
