Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to episode 15 of The Apothecary Diaries! Wow you guys, we're taking off with yet another mystery here! It was great seeing Maomao at work putting all this together, and this one still leaves the feeling of "there was something more to this", does it not? Not to mention, Lakan is REALLY intriguing and my head is swimming with theories of what he could be up to!!!! Can't wait for more! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Yeah I see what you mean, it can't all be plot twists I guess lol. Hahah the sparkly vomit scene was so hammy, I love it! Poor Jinshi, he's so gone! Oh thanks for the pronunciation tip. Hmmm so maybe I was onto something? Guess we'll find out!!!

2024-08-29 09:48:30 +0000 UTCSometimes the obvious answer is the correct one, a fact that’s highlighted in this episode by the reaction of the younger brother when Maomao shows up to inspect. Actually, Maomao is so knowledgeable about this that I kind of get the feeling your brain gets smarter just by watching her work. I did have to laugh a bit at the whole vomit scene because the sound the VA is making is way over the top - she loves her work and others trust that she won’t only be useful but she won’t go around blabbing about internal issues. Maomao likes stimulating conversations, so what does that say about Jinshi that she keeps cutting him off? This wasn’t meant to be a pun but - you sure want to know if he’s, um… intact. I’ll save you some trouble: if he was intact before, he’s completely broken after walking in on Maomao in her poison lusting state. 😅 He’s totally gone… As for the conversation about Lakan (best way to remember the pronunciation is lock-on) the show pretty much just focused on what the one courtesan was doing to get out with her childhood friend. Everything else was just dialogue Maomao was talking about. And I’m going to stop discussing at this point, since I know a lot more than you from seeing this earlier, and there’s still another episode and more reveals to go today. To quote Xiaomao: Sneak, sneak. 👀
