Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to MHA season 7, episode 13!!! WHOA!!!!! This one was amazing! First off, kudos to my best boy Mirio for being able to reach Izuku at such a crucial and devastating time! Watching Izuku in action was absolutely wild!!! The way he works with the other users is so impressive, and the fact that it's his own spin on the different quirks that gives them so much power now is a really great touch! I also feel like we're not done with little Tenko just yet. And Edge Shot is still in there giving it his best, bless him! Also huge shout out to the Bros in this ep!!! I can't wait for what's next! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hi Spadeas! :) I know, that's so true! It's a great example of using the mind/strategy and how that can be even more OP than brute force. Ohhhh is that what she noticed! Thanks! OMG yes, someone else pointed that out too, that by the end of the ep we have AFO literally just placing the blame lol. I'm excited for the heteromorph fight and I'm sure this will be a heavy one considering some of the issues that could be involved!!!

I know, it was seeing everyone including Bakugo that did it. Thank God for Mirio! I know, I have a feeling those words he shared with Nana are gonna be important soon. Omg I know, Aizawa and Monoma are really holding it down here! Oof, what indeed is hatching in the coffin! Thanks for the info on the eps!

2024-08-22 15:07:19 +0000 UTCEven though a lot of this episode was recap, this was probably one of the best this season for that clash alone. The team just keeps one-upping themselves in terms of animation, this might top Deku’s final punch against Overhaul for me. The music was on point to like when they introduced Gearshift, so freaking hype! And we get to properly hear You Say Run again! It’s been a long freaking time, not counting the recap episodes before the season I don’t think we’ve heard the full thing since Todoroki vs Deku in S2!

There’s not a ton in this episode that isn’t visually presented, it’s mostly focusing on Deku and Shigaraki exchanging blows. Both physically and psychologically. Say what you will about him, Shigaraki does know the right buttons to push when it comes to Izuku. PerhPs that’s part of what makes his character such an obstacle While we’re on that subject, AFO is controlling both Shigaraki and… his own body? I’d be very interested to know how that works - didn’t really think about it to this episode. Seeing Bakugo in that state was the first and most direct hit, but let’s not forget what really set him off was seeing everyone else. Fortunately Mirio has a good head and knew exactly what to say. Just because heroes are what they are it doesn’t mean they don’t also struggle with human emotions. The recap scene with Shimura and Izuku is probably coming into play soon. Shigaraki has done a ton of harm, and obviously, Izuku went into rage mode - but I get the feeling he’ll exhaust every other option before this one. Should probably give a shout out to Eraser Head and Monoma for keeping everything at bay without blinking for this long. That’s a little nuts. I hate to pun here but what is actually… hatching in the coffin? Sure it can’t be good.. You were asking, according to MAL, MHA will have 21 episodes which means it’s on track to finish sometime late Sept / early Oct before Fall shows start.

2024-08-20 15:50:11 +0000 UTCHi Hime :) You talk about it briefly and I'll talk about it, but yes, Izuku is so strong, because he's Izuku. Of course, One for All granted him a power boost and multiple quirks, but it's because they are in the hands of Izuku, the little quirkless boy who is such a fan of heroes, that he has developed the habit of analyzing quirks and how to use them. It's because he's been thinking like this for years that he's able to use these quirks to their fullest and even beyond. This is why I like MHA and Izuku, because many times, our protagonist wins because he is smarter than his opponent, not necessarily all in power. Small note, when Nana Shimura says that Tenko/Shigaraki is still there, it's because she notices that the "fingers" of ShigAfO's right hand form the faces of his family members, including Tenko's father, namely Nana's son. I saw someone point out in another reaction the fact that when Izuku arrives, ShigAfO makes fun of him by saying that he's going to find excuses "like the others", but at the end, that's exactly what he himself does by accusing the others of being responsible for the fact that he's "weakened". It's all "according to my plan" until it isn't huh. For the next one, yes, the last panel seems to indicate that we will have the Spinner/Shoji+Koji, I know this fight is interesting for all the context around it, the heteromorphs. So prepare yourself for something that unfortunately still resonates a lot in our society.
