Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season three, ep 1 of the Rohan live action series! Oh dang guys, this one was really freaky!!!! Maybe it's cause it centered around Rohan personally, or many it was just a shift in tone a bit - but it definitely left me feeling a bit eerie! That being said, I LOVE the doggy!!!!!!!!! OMG, both the baby and adult versions looked just like Buffy!!!! Dang, I guess we've gotta be careful what shrines we're wandering into, because things got SERIOUSLY messed up for Rohan in this one! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hey Leonie! Wow, that's so cool that this is an actual story but one that is so rare and was never officially translated! Oh that's interesting about the subtle differences! Thank you SO much for the link, I'm def gonna read this!!! Aww that's amazing that the actor is such a big fan, how cute about the dance hahaha! I love that he's had input on the design like that. He seems really loveable, maybe a bit unlike Rohan haha! Thanks again for the link!!

SO unsettling right!!! Yeah I think you're right about how it worked! That's the thing, I feel like maybe the spirit was like, the things he had potential to do but wouldn't....? Lol I love that she convinced him! If anyone could do it, it's her! Omg I know, that girl was seriously messed up, yet he had to leave it to her to fix everything, dang! I think you're right, I think he just gave her the "order" not to hurt anyone else, since there's really no way to hold her accountable for things that never happened. SO creepy!!!!! Me too!!! XD

Unsettling to the max! But this was so good. My understanding is he was out cold while the spirit was running things on its own accord. The spirit was his shadow. I’m not sure exactly what that implies exactly but probably a mimic that does what one wouldn’t normally do. In this case, fan-servicing and leniency towards his work ethics. Ones he would never tamper with by any means. The fact Izumi was able to convince him means she made him do the impossible which is hilarious. Man that was so trippy. That fan girl was sick in the head. It’s so crazy how he left it to “her” to fix everything. We don’t know what the outcome for her will be exactly— just that he’s written in she is unable to do harm onto others which is terrifying in itself. Crazy episode. Creepy story. I loved it 😬 😱 😥

Hey Melissa, this was a really good episode to kick off the third season of this series. The episode was very much inspired by the manga chapter of the same name, which is still very unknown in the western anime community as it only came out in 2021, right after Araki finished Jojolion. It is also only fan translated into English so far and not yet available in cover form. At first, I didn't really know where the episode was headed, but the more I watched, the better I remembered that I had read or at least heard about the manga chapter some time ago. I could remember that Rohan had a dog at some point and that led right back to this manga chapter. The episode sticks very close to the manga material. Only a few things were changed here and there. For example, Rohan's crazy girlfriend didn't have snakes as pets, but a crocodile. Of course, they couldn't really implement this in the series without putting the actors in danger. I also did a bit of research on the actor of Rohan Issey Takahashi. And in his wiki it says that he has been a fan of the JoJo's Bizarre Adventure mangas and the character of Rohan since he was in high school. According to him, when he received the phone call about an offer to play Rohan, he was so happy that he “began dancing with the phone on his hand”. Takahashi was also heavily involved with the character's costume design; during production of the second season, he gave the character designer, Isao Tsuge, the idea of making the jagged edges on Rohan's headband shaper to be more faithful to the manga. In the third season, he also suggested to change the headband from faux leather to real leather, eventually deciding to use horse leather. The more I read about the actor, the more I fall in love with him. He's such a cool guy. And probably very different in real life to how he plays Rohan. It's a shame he doesn't have social media so that you can stalk him a bit. But that's what the show is for, so that you can admire the actor a bit. I'll include the link to the manga chapter in my comment so that you can read the original if you feel like it and compare how they did it in the series. https://mangadex.org/chapter/86986c93-89b9-4ffe-99c8-97fe6bb2c383/1

I know, I never saw it coming with the dog! My attention span was cooked as soon as I saw it lol! I was thinking that the 4 thing was a reference to Mista lol, but yeah, I'm sure it's a common superstition. Hahahahaha I mean I probably shouldn't have made her my self insert before getting to know her a bit better :P That's a fair point, losing time could be comparable in a way. Ohhh I didn't catch her bump disappearing. LOL Izumi should get hazard pay!! Haha if anyone could convince him, it's Izumi! I think this could definitely be a commentary on what the lockdown did to all our sanity. I'm so glad they didn't carry on the dog curse here! I would've died on the spot! Hahaha, well, I wouldn't mind if I came in to three months of editing being done for me actually :P

Just when you think things have gotten to peak weirdness they top themselves. I mean, who in their right mind could’ve guessed Rohan would end up with a dog of all things? Unpredictability, tsk tsk. Also I kinda knew soon as I saw it your attention span was gonna get skewered lol. It looks like this was a pandemic episode, or at least inspired by it. I also have to wonder if the four circles reference is indeed a joke relating to Mista and his fear of the number 4. (I’m told negative superstition of that number is actually a common thing in multiple East Asian cultures.) When Eve (the fan girl who became, you know…) showed up, you said “hey, that’s me! Given what happens at the back end of this episode I’m not really sure that’s a side of you we want to explore… I mean you have said you’re jealous… but uh… based on what I’ve seen here, I don’t think this relationship is going to be one that works out… Remember at the start how Rohan wanted to experience death… well losing time could be a similar thing I suppose… my understanding is that his body was being driven around and he was out cold during all of it. Also when Eve turned the mirror, her bump disappeared as well. Does Izumi get hazard pay? Also it’s implied that the reason Martha had four circles was because Izumi convinced Rohan to change it, it had nothing to do with Yabubako-Hoshi… which just irked him more. The shrine duo half made me wonder if this was some sort of comedy routine, but with creepiness. Also I wonder if this whole commentary on being stuck inside was a commentary on what 2020 did to everyone’s sanity - because in a way I guess you could say, we all lost about six months. A dog in JoJo isn’t a dog in JoJo unless… but I’m guessing they didn’t want to do anything since it was live action so they just had the reaction to it, it’s implied to not be good. So what if YH is in your camera right now… and you came back tomorrow and found out all your reactions for the last three months were done by someone other than you? How do we know you’re not possessed, huh? Are you the real Hime? Don’t lie to us, now… 👀
