Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season two, ep 3 of the Rohan live action series! OMG!!! They did an amazing job with this one - I know it couldn't have been easy to capture the same vibe with all the blood that we know is supposed to be the focal point of this one, but the way they presented it was still really creepy and captured the spirit of the whole thing well!! I also like that we got to see Rohan in the "memories". He def got more than he bargained for though!! And so, that concludes the Mutsu-kabe Hill arc!!! They did a great job tying these all together this season! I can't wait to see what next season holds in store! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hey, thanks for that, it's all good :) Hahahaha omg I need to make every door in my house a Heaven's Door now! That's actually kinda true, in a way, I am very much exercising the same ability :P Yeah I think you're right about the characters having the same tone and the story hitting all the same beats. They did draw out the fiance stuff a bit more, my guess is so they could fill the 50 mins as opposed to 25 mins time slot. Hahaha true, they wouldn't want the actress to have to swallow fake blood! I thought they might do what they did in "Psycho" and use Hershey's syrup! HAHAHAHAHA I guess playing dead isn't so easy after all! I think Rohan def got more than he bargained for. Yeah it does beg the question about Rohan doesn't it? He always seems to get caught up in these things, yet then again sometimes it's his curiosity that leads him to it. Hahahahah he truly took the cake! Poor Izumi! OMG if only Rohan had run into Pucci and just taken his place, think of all that would've been prevented :O

OMG I know, he killed it in this one! (No pun intended haha) They did such a good job capturing the intensity of the story without including a lot of the graphic elements! Yeah at first I thought Gunpei was gonna be a little cute and bouncy but he was giving creepy really fast! OMG I'm so glad you said it about his looks, I was kinda thinking the same thing haha, must've been part of the curse or something :P Omg poor Izumi!!! Hahaha who wouldn't want to parasitically attach to her? She's the best :D Hahaha how many shoves out the door does this make now? :P I'm so happy you're enjoying that! OMG SAME!!! I need like 8 more seasons at least haha! I'm really hoping they add more to season 4 as well!!!!

Hey Leonie! I'm so glad you think so, me too! I think you're right, they did a good job capturing the horror elements without having to show as much. I'm glad you agree about how they included Rohan! And connecting all the stories was a great way to make it feel cohesive as a season for sure. I know, I can't wait to see what they do with season 3! I'm curious as to where they'll go from here too! :D

Hey Melissa, this was a really worthy conclusion to season 2. They did a really good job of translating the OVA episode of the manga into live action without relying too heavily on horror elements. I don't really have that much to say about this episode because it's a really good take on the original. What I found very good, as you mentioned in your video, was that Rohan, even though it was a flashback of another character, was still physically there, as if he was really experiencing it himself by reading it, which I thought was a really creative solution. And I thought the way all the cases in this season were connected was very well written and made sense. I'm really looking forward to seeing what else the series has to offer and whether they'll do more scenarios of their own creation or whether they'll rely more on Araki's manga. All in all, I'm really looking forward to season 3.

Rohan’s actor deserves a reward because his rare showcasing of anguish came through so much. This story was already raw and intense that even without the mangas exact amount of gore, it was still able to come through just as horrific in live action. Gunpei also still bubbly a little at the beginning was giving creep vibes. Also, I should be the last person to be speaking on looks, I’d like to think I’m about a 6 (I’d like to think that 🙂‍↕️) but his face was just okay. He must have been feeding off of Nao in order for her to think that. I just couldn’t see it. 🤷‍♂️ I thought it was funny but quietly messed up how they did Izumi here. These parasitic yokai would be lucky to have her as their caretaking hostess 😆 lol another day, another shove out the door. 🎂 I can’t for wait more. I’m really loving these two. They make me laugh. And the stories are so horrifically angsty. I need more. MORE! I hope there’s more added for season 4. 🎂

Hello! Hey, quickly, so, sorry again this morning if my question about the manga’s length seemed rude or off putting, I was really not trying or intending to come off that way. I honestly just wanted to know how long it was, since I’m not able to follow along with you there. Enjoy going through it, I’m not put off at all by the rest of you doing it. Anyway, moving on to the episode… So I don’t know exactly what your reaction space setup is but I had this crazy idea. Is there a door you go through when you enter? Because if there is… you see where I’m going with this, right? You should literally rename it “Heavens Door.” :P Think about it, you’re like taking something that’s recorded and basically talking your own ideas into it. You know, all three of the characters in this plot were a little bit on the strange side. I recently saw the OVA again and I think the sequence with Gunpei is for the most part, the same. She tells him he needs to go, he gets frisky, he doesn’t take a hint. And yes, in both parts he does hit her, but only after she hits him. My guess is the plot point is he gets so worked up he doesn’t realize what he’s doing until after he does it -plus getting dumped will definitely cause an emotional reaction if it’s a meaningful one. Some handle it better than others. 😬 I think they might’ve drawn out the part with the fiancé a bit more than they originally did - with the whole lock and everything. The black and white fade is because I’m guessing that blood was really just water, because you wouldn’t want the actress to try and swallow fake blood… Oh, I did take an acting class once - and they told me I was going to get killed while the girls I was with in the scene went hysterical. It’s HARD to play a corpse, so I can’t even imagine what Gunpei’s actor is putting up with. (I couldn’t even keep a straight face, I failed miserably when I heard “what’s the number for 911?”.) I think Rohan doing a deep dive may have unwittingly come across - well, let’s just say he doesn’t wish to have seen what he saw and leave it at that… If yokai are so particular about who they possess, however… does that mean Rohan has got some sort of luck preventing a takeover? Of course, he barely got away from the girl this time… but I think it’s worth asking the question. Izumi should really stop bringing food into Rohan’s house if she doesn’t want to lose it… I guess you could say this episode… really does take the cake? Theory prediction: Rohan does the confessional arc in the next season and runs into Pucci. You heard it here first. 👀
