Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to season two, ep 2 of the Rohan live action series! OMG!!! I am so impressed at how they did this! Somehow having a dude on your back is even more disturbing than a Stand hahah!!! Also, they really pulled it off with the whole alley story and everything. I was wondering how the heck they'd resolve it without the alley! But they delivered! Also, I love the little Easter eggs like Rohan having green hair in the "what-if" scenario hehe. And the manga pages were so awesome!!! Next week is the season 2 finale, wow! Can't wait for more! Enjoy! ~ MH

I agree, it's cool to see how they made it their own! LOL I'd love to see the outtakes!!!! Hahaha the real ship here is Izumi and the door :P Oh that's a good point, he may in fact be an actual comedian or something. Hahahaha ba-dum-tsss!! LOL we don't have a disintegrate into the tiles kind of budget, but they still made it work! Hahahaha the way I would backwards spider crawl to get that figure, even if there was an alley behind me! Oh, that sounds like a fun party game. HAHAHAHAHAHA haven't we already said my dog is my Stand? So technically that could be possible :P LOL two puns in one comment, you're on a roll :P

2024-07-02 12:56:51 +0000 UTCLOL!! Didn't they do great! Kinoto was sooo good! I think so too about others being able to see certain Stands. In a way, he's sort of attached to something corporeal (a person) in the same way that the boat was attached to the orangutan's Stand! That's also true that it could have something to do with the idea of exchanging less power for other abilities! I'm sure it's been explained officially but it's not like something they've gone over in the actual series a lot. I couldn't agree more that they nailed it with this one!!!

2024-07-02 12:54:09 +0000 UTCHey Leonie!! I'm so glad you liked it! I think seeing the behind the scenes would be amazing haha, I imagine this was a fun and silly one to shoot! It really does make a lot of sense to combine some stories. I agree that for us fans, we get a lot out of all the cool Easter eggs, but the show is so detached from JJBA that anyone can enjoy it for what it is. I agree that they're really doing this particular model of storytelling right!!! I can't wait for next week either!! XD

2024-07-02 12:52:04 +0000 UTCLol this one was so great! Both actors really killed it. The actor who played Kinoto was killing me at the beginning. Both did a very marvelous job. XD My guess on the whole non stand users being able to see stands is maybe some just had the ability to let others see them. Simple as that. Like you said, Cheap Trick was deadly but he was somewhat harmless (so-to-speak) in other ways. Because of his ability to simply leech off of others is maybe what makes him a rare few that are able to interact with people because it just happens to benefit him. Some stands can do all these amazing feats while others are more simple yet effective but still don’t have the luxury of power, so as compensation, they can interact more freely which gives them an advantage over more “powerful” stands. And I could be totally wrong and it’s already explained somewhere. Someone let me know too. But I think of it like the orangoutang with the freighter stand. In order for non stand users to get on they’d have to see a giant boat. Actually this isn’t much of an explanation. Sorry. Anyways great episode. 11/10 they nailed this one. 😆

2024-07-02 12:01:56 +0000 UTCMost of the actual plot in this episode we already know, but it is kind of interesting how they’re threading different plot points together and making it its own story. You asked about a timeline for it - would that video you looked at, July 15 slowed down work for you? Now, someone seems to have been thinking the same way as me because I was thinking - this is one of those videos I’ll bet the outtakes are something special - I wonder how many tubes they had to do this before they could keep acting straight. Oh, speaking of which, I do believe Izumi and Rohan’s front door is what we should all be shipping. The actor playing the architect, I have to wonder if he is a professional physical comedian or something, considering all they had him doing. In this case though, I guess you could say he and Rohan… CARRIED the episode? “He didn’t shrink into the floorboards this time!” Probably because this show doesn’t have that kind of budget. 😉 You know now that I think about it, do we ever see you look back when the camera is on? I’m starting to have questions about your current state… oops I dropped a collectible Joseph figure behind you, could you please get it? 👀 You could probably make a interesting game around the house of how long you could keep up not showing your back to someone. But just so you know I have had an image of you carrying something on your back around during this entire reaction - and the thing on your back is your dog. You’re welcome, good luck sleeping now. If it’s too much just ask someone to give you some hands with it. 😂

2024-07-02 04:26:06 +0000 UTCHey Melissa! That was another very good take on live action from the anime. I think this would be the episode where I would most want to see the behind-the-scenes. I think the actors were laughing so hard when the one actor had to sit on Rohan the whole time. I'd love to know how many times they had to reshoot some scenes. I think it's really great how they've combined all the OVAs into a complete story. And it actually makes a lot of sense. It's also interesting that this live-action show can't be so strongly identified with JoJo. Because it almost does its own thing. And only uses Rohan and Heaven's Door as bait for Jojo fans and also adds little references, but otherwise does its own thing. If you compare it to other recent productions from for example Disney, you can call this series a masterpiece. I'm definitely very excited to see how they'll do the next episode. And I'm really looking forward to next week.
