Hey everyone! Here I am with season 5, episode 1 of Camp Camp! We're BAAAACCCKK!!! Omg you guys, I'm so glad our campers are back for another year, and we've got some new stuff too! In fact, it seems like maybe there's a little too much change for Max's liking! I just adore the little kid mentality of having to be cool/different/grown up, it's such a fun phenomenon to watch! But I'm glad Max was able to work through it with CJ's help! OMG CJ!!!!! Like not only is he, erm, quite a character, but the bombshell about his dad was pretty intense haha!!! And just when I thought we were moving on, here comes GWEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ahhhhh!!! It's good to be back! Great ep, enjoy! ~ MH

I can't hear it at all for Max and Preston; I can hear it for Gwen and Nerris but I don't hate it!

2024-06-27 08:35:58 +0000 UTCRight, change is a big theme for kids and people in general. It's funny you should say that, I don't hear it as much with Max, but I hear it the most with Nerris! Also Gwen, the pitch is different but the VA does a great job capturing the same kind of speech/intonation. OOOHHH was that a shot at Warner? Niiiice! CJ being Cameron's son was pretty wild! Awww in that case I'm also FINE :D Hahahha never ask what QM is up to, I should know this by now! OMG no, it's probably CJ though :P

Speaking of change for the most part the “replacement” VAs sound like the original - although when I’m rewatching this one I can definitely hear a bit of a tone difference with the voice for Max. Everyone else is going to do whatever they can to prove they’ve “matured,” while Max just wants things to stay the same - as someone who has next to zero stability outside the damp it makes sense. CJ being Cameron’s son is a bit of a bombshell but it tracks - lizard sweat tears in the eye doesn’t sound like the best application of that product, however. I also had to wonder at the phrase “I took over a company and started to change everything” - was that a shot at Warner for basically what went on at RT? They’re not really above it…. 👀 Nikki’s fine btw - FINE is an acronym for freaked out, insecure, neurotic and emotional. “What is Quartermaster doing in the background?” It’s been 4 plus seasons and you still haven’t learned not to ask that? 🤣 Just remember… one person won’t make it to the end of the season… he hath spoken! Who could it be…
