Bad Batch 3x14 "Flash Strike" reaction & review

Google Drive Link posted below description!

Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to Bad Batch, season 3 episode 14! Oh wow!!! Omega is KILLING it as I knew she would! And our sweet babies who are imprisoned did so well in this one too!!! Can I just say that I hate that other scientist chick SO much?! Emerie on the other hand, seems down to help, which I'm happy about! Oh yeah, and let's not forget that it seems like the ZILLOW BEAST is going to be pivotal in our escape plan, omgggggggggg!!!!! Also, if anyone was wondering, this ep proves just how long a high ranking imperial officer would last in the jungle! :P Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Yeah Hemlock's not taking any chances. LOL Rampart is totally on Survivor, and I don't think he's gonna win :P Yeah I know I shouldn't be surprised by Scalder, just that scene about the hunger thing, it broke me for a second lol. Omega's totally doing her own Die Hard over here! OMG when you said familiar face, I was watching these eps and thought you meant Echo because he popped back up :P I never expected my precious Zillo Beast!!! Ooooh so there's an even better plan, hmmm!! LOL snack time for the Zillo Beast, someone go get Palpatine :P Explosive sounds about right, hopefully we're blowing this whole experimental hellhole off the face of the planet!!!!

I totally get it! But yeah, this goes way beyond being a kid person or not. The Zillo Beast!!!! :O I'm so ready for them to lay waste to all this cruelty but yeah, I'm not ready to let them go either!!!

I’m not a kid person. But you’d have to be a scum to treat them like this. Not to mention the Zillow Beast. Too much cruelty going on around here. I’m so looking forward, but not ready to let go of this crew. :,(

The immediate tip off to Hemlock that “something might’ve happened when the ship left” is enough of a red flag to put the entire base on lockdown, which is why it’s been so hard to find the base. Fortunately, Echo is pretty good at sneaking around. Hey, he even got an unexpected hand while doing it. The whole Rampart tagging along montage is kind of like that unruly passenger in the back seat of the car on a long trip asking are we there yet every ten seconds. But I got another vibe as well - Rampart’s experience I’d basically the worst episode of Survivor. XD His panicking both helped and hurt as it led the beastie to a bunch of the troopers but ended up with his capture. You probably shouldn’t be too shocked at the way Scalder was acting because she didn’t refer to the kids as anything but specimens. Unlike Emerie, she has no empathy and does not view them as anything with the right to live. They’re for a scientific purpose and she will treat them as such. In other words… yeah you’re not getting along with this one. 😂 The high speed transports that were in danger of taking off Omega’s head or other limbs while she was exploring were the small containers their blood was being sent around the base in after their samples were taken. Also, Omega is now doing her own Die Hard act by sneaking around in the walks. Speaking of which, remember that familiar face I told you was gonna show up? Bet you weren’t expecting the Zillo Beast. That’s quite an idea you have about riding it out of here, but… that’s not exactly what she has on her mind, that’s all I’ll say about that. (The plan is being altered again, like in the last episode. 😂) The reason the troopers keep zapping it with electricity is to keep it contained and subdued, as you recall. Things just got a little bit more interesting… Now if only Palp… I mean, lunch would actually get here, right? I’ll just say that the ending is gonna be somewhat explosive and leave it at that. 😉

Yes it must be around 4 years since you started Clone Wars Mel, as you started once Mando season 1 finished I believe which was late 2019; and you referenced finishing season 1 of the show in Mando season 2 when you saw the Ahsoka episode in it, which was in 2020. For people who watched Clone Wars when it aired, its been even longer seeing the Zillo back as I believe season 2 of Clone Wars aired in 2009.

So from the off, Scorch and Hemlock are onto the Batch coming in and put them on the defensive. Yes Omega your brothers are coming, now time to press forward on your escape! Dalal's voicing of Rampart is great here, hearing the absolute hysteria coming from him as the squad exits the ship and they slide down the ropes into the jungle. His screams are hilarious - he's never had to do anything like this! Crosshair beginning to get the fear coming back here. We can't blame him, but with the care and love he feels for Omega now, he'll help her anyway he can, even if it means going back to his personal hell. The droid speaking to Echo is the same model of protocol/navigator droid as AP-5 from Rebels Mel, so you are correct that he looked recognisable. Dr. Scalder is a piece of work. She isn't a clone but one who chose this line of work, and there is no compassion whatsoever from her. Even if Sami is only stalling her by pretending she's hungry (though I doubt the food portions they get in that place are particularly big), just flat out fobbing her off by saying it will pass, is dreadful. What makes someone become like that? I like that its Echo speaking to Emerie in that scene about her being involved in all of this. More on Emerie in the finale, but Echo knows better than most about being experimented on so quite rightly is angry about whats being done on fellow clones here, and kids. And of course Omega has a plan! Lets go! The music in the end credits is a variation on the clone theme; its time to stand tall or fall. This is it! Prepare for next week, and yes bring tissues!!!
