Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to Bad Batch, season 3 episode 12! Wow guys, we had some great stuff in this one!!! An action scene truly worthy of Star Wars, Fee being amazing, Omega trying to reason with Emerie.....and then....Omega gets taken to The Vault?!?!!? Nooooooo!!!! I'm still not super clear on what they plan to do with all the kids, but dang guys, The Vault is the last place I want us to spend any time in!!!! What the heck!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

I know, Emerie is really torn! Poor Crosshair! Phee was amazing here, you're right that she must've had lots of practice liberating all those wonders haha!! Oooohh I didn't even realize that was Steve Blum, it is pretty weird to hear Zeb's voice in that situation for sure! Ugh, you can really see the corruption of the Empire everywhere, including the environment. I loved them acting on the old numerically labeled plans too!!! Even though it's not quite old times like you said. LOL you can really tell the difference between the clone-trained Stormtroopers and the later ones, right?! Not that Ewoks are super fierce little critters :))))) LOL seeing Rampart getting dragged around was a real treat! OMG they did not have to do that Wrecker tease to my heart!!! We're in the endgame of the whole series so you just never know!! Thank you so much for explaining the situation with Omega!!! I had a feeling that's what it was, I just wasn't sure how the kids factored in (they're force sensitive, so they're probably just testing the binding ability of her blood on them first so they can use it on Palpatine). OMG!!!! My days of using the Force in the openings are numbered?! :O Can't wait to see what they have planned!!!

Wasn't that amazing?! The vault is really interesting even if the concept is so creepy!!!!

Hey Chris! I was just about to get in touch with you! I went to my PO Box today, sorry it took me forever! The book is awesome!!! I can't wait to read through it!!!! That was so nice of you!!!

Hey. I'm doing budget stuff today and just wanted to make sure your book arrived ok. If not, let me know and I can look into it.

That bridge chase was flipping fantastic! They did nice work on that. 👌 Ugh I hate to say it but the stuff with the vault is kind of fascinating. Like it at least piques my interest.

Yeah you can see how conflicted Emerie is here, she knows this isn't right but can't do anything else to help and keep herself out of danger. Crosshair is in bits about what happened and doesn't want to do this, to go back to Tantiss right now, and we can see that just by how shaky his hand is here. However for Omega, the one who put faith in him, he feels he more than owes her and that there might be a way to find out where the base is, through that snake Rampart. Phee is a boss in this episode, really helping our squad out after they lose The Marauder. That silent entry has been well rehearsed before. I bet she has done it plenty of times in the past, being a pirate grabbing those "liberated wonders!". :) Steve Blum voices a few imperials this season and we hear his dulcet tones as a couple of them in this episode. I hate hearing notes of Zeb's voice coming through as one of them, bah!! :P This is a solid caper from CF99 rescuing Rampart and blowing stuff up along the way. It almost reminds me of some of their early missions, and the original squad is here too, though its missing our beloved Tech! The lakes in the background here are polluted (typical of the Empire), and the oily sheen of them is very visible in some shots and just gives a feel that this place has been chewed up badly by the presence of the imps. Another nice touch is showing Crosshair and Wrecker enable Plan 55, just to show how Crosshair is back with them and that its almost like old times. Except its not, they are three members down here, and this is a must-win mission to ensure they find the location of one of them. There is also some competent stormtroopers in this mission, the way they land on the crew's turbotank and take out the guns. They are still trained by clones at this time, so are more of a force to be reckoned with than later, when getting thumped by tiny teddy bears!! :D The way they drag Rampart's stunned body around like a sack of spuds is hilarious. Even the way they roughly through him onto Phee's ramp is a hoot. The least that git deserves, even if he can help them! And yes we all feared for Wrecker not making that jump. With it being the last few episodes, they could indeed do anything, so anytime anyone of them is in peril, you do tense up! Thats another thing they have done well this season, shown the raised stakes, how much the Empire is a threat to CF99, and building up to the climax of the series! Ok now onto Omega going into the Vault. Hemlock explains that her blood is a perfect binder for those with force-sensitive level M-counts. Hence mixing Omega's blood with some from the kids, will result in zero M-count degeneration. This is perfect for Sidious as when he passes, he can transfer his essence into a cloned body containing Omega's blood, without any loss of his colossal force power. Thats why Omega is so valuable to them, and why Nala Se has been protecting her. It hasn't been established that Omega has a high M-count herself, and tbh that doesn't matter too much if or if she hasn't, as we've seen in Ahsoka with Sabine eventually being able to tap into the force through time, discipline and focus; and she is of average M-count we believe. Make the most of using the force on the Bad Batch titles for your next reactions Mel, as the finale does things a bit different. :)

The first thing Emerie says to Omega: “I’m glad you’re safe.” This kind of explains how “detached” she is from the situation. She’s… well, the opposite of somebody like you, she doesn’t act on emotions. I’d describe her as she’s starting to get inklings something is off but she’s also loyal enough to do what she’s told without question. It’s sort of like being in a career job where you’re told to do something you might not personally agree with - but it’s not really up to you to make that decision. Granted, this is seriously extreme. I forgot to mention this in the last episode, but did you pick up on the Stormtrooper pilot getting shot y his own guys just because Hunter had gotten on the shuttle? Sheesh! There’s a reason we keep coming up with new and terrible ways to kill them, lol. Admiral Rampart is a wild card - but this time Crosshair is in charge - the only thing I can tell you for sure is that neither of them have really a whole lot of love for the Empire. But keeping them next to each other it’s gonna be an interesting reality TV show… The fact that nobody’s aware of the Tantiss Base coordinates shows you just how cautious Hemlock is, and how hard it’s going to be to find Omega. Logically, he’s kind of a lesser version of Thrawn. He’s paranoid, not stupid. Oh, the action sequence is equal parts over the top, ridiculous, and awesome. Not much else to say about it. Do we always have to end up in a situation where Wrecker’s defying gravity from a large height though? XD As for the reason Omega was taken to the vault, it’s because Hemlock needs both the kids’ blood and Omega’s to achieve the results he’s looking for, that’s why he’s keeping them together. But he might’ve unwittingly just put a wild card into the situation without thinking about it… PENULTIMATE batch next week! In the meantime I’m gonna make a “stealth” exit now, as today’s my birthday. Ciao! 😎
