Google Drive Link posted below description!

Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to Bad Batch, season 3 episode 7! Wow you guys, this one was tense and so back and forth! And what a twist, holy cow!!! In a way, thank God the commander turned out to be who it turned out to be....because Rex was able to reason with him! Makes sense for what we know is coming in the future! Dang! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Gotcha, thanks for the info! Lol no way, I'd mention it too if I recognized him, that's a total flex!!!! Also thanks for the reminder on the times we've seen him! I remembered him a little from Clone Wars but now that it's been a few years some of that info is fuzzier than my memory of Rebels. That's the thing, it does feel like the Empire is a bit more threatening here, and since we don't know where everyone ends up, the stakes are high! I really appreciate the heads up on the brightness, I'm not sure I would've been able to see anything if I hadn't turned it up! Pretty sure I never readjusted my monitor after so maybe I'll just leave it this way the rest of the season haha :) I love how Crosshair improvised! It goes to show that while he's not quite himself, he's still thinking really sharp. OMG I LOVE that line and also Omega and Crosshair's dynamic!! I'm glad you enjoyed my mention of loyalty and I couldn't agree more about how this concept was such an eye opener for Crosshair once he saw just how lacking they were in any loyalty or dedication to the Clones. OMG you're kidding about the music from Tech's death! Had I realized that, I would've been even more upset haha! Ohhh you're right about Howzer, that's a nice touch. OOOHHH I think I missed that Gregor was on the shuttle but that's such a nice foreshadowing! I know what you mean about Wolffe, his integrity is totally intact but he hasn't realized that none of those attitudes will match up with what the Empire is really all about yet. I know, that last scene was so good, I really hope Wolffe gets out soon!!! (At least we know he does eventually!) LOL the CX2 was totally giving Terminator vibes!! Omg there actually is some irony in Hunter telling Rex that, seeing as how he literally is there fighting when they defeat the Empire haha. Can't wait for more!!

Thanks, it was Saltire's idea! Exactly, the way the roll with the changes has kept them going. Right, the Empire's not big on thinking outside the box in general. Oh nice, I knew that was actually mentioned about the Clones who spent more time around the Jedi. Lol yeah he might have been checking to make sure that Omega wouldn't pose some kind of extra variable too, but I think he also cares :) Oh yeah, they won the battle but the war on the other hand, rages on. I think the last time we saw Wolffe, he was with Rex and Gregor in Rebels! Exactly, we've seen this happen before with the disillusionment of Clones...it's tough to watch!

Melissa Moore

OMG I know!!!! XD Exactly, like you can see exactly where he's coming from, but we also know the truth so it's sad to see him get spun into the Empire's web. I know!!!! He's a real one!!! Our Wolffe :D

OMG I know!! They're really destroying us with the Tech stuff this season :/ Tech totally would've figured it out fast! They really all do bring something really special to the table!

Overload of cuteness coming from Hunter here. I have such high respect for Wolffe’s moral and loyalty. It’s odd saying that but yeah you see where he’s coming from. This really highlighted his character. He didn’t have to let them go.

They really just like shanked us or maybe just me this season with Tech's death. Then they twist it every once in awhile. Like they were talking about needing to figure out why they need Omega so bad. And I just know if Tech was alive he would've figured it out so fast or brought them really close to figuring it out. That just goes to show how important he was to the team, how important all of them are. They all fill these specific rolls required for the team.

Turning the brightness up was a good call. I think this episode highlights what was the Clones’ biggest asset and also the Empire’s greatest fear: their ability to adapt to situations based on the information given. We know that the Empire is not big on free thinking - the shadow trooper zealously carrying out their mission in spite of command ordered is just proof of that. It was mentioned in previous episodes and seasons that particularly the Clones who spent a lot of time around Jedi, were much more likely to be capable of making their own decisions. Crosshair is becoming a good example of this himself, he went from point A to point B fairly quickly - although his checking on Omega felt more to me like “you going to be an extra problem for me or are you competent enough to hold your own? He has a different approach. Anyway, they got away, but the operative is still at large and some… questions have been raised. Speaking of Wolf, I know I’ve seen him in the other series, but someone’s going to need to remind me where we’re at with him, because I’m blanking at the moment. But don’t forget, we saw a similar thing happen with Cody. Of course that might just mean more trouble id he starts digging around…

Yes Mel, its a 15 episode final season that finishes with a double episode like Rebels did. Haha, yes its probably better to wait until they show who the clone is, but having watched so much clone wars over the years, I instantly knew who it was (that comes across as a brag for which I apologise lol!). The clue is the right arm pauldron for Wolffe, as its a stylised wolf image. He was the commander under Plo Koon if you remember back then, and we see him don this armour set a few times in Clone Wars, notably the R2 and 3P0 adventure episodes. He still had his helmet design in Rebels too. One thing I think some love about this show, is it shows that the Empire is a formidable enemy for our heroes. Rebels was a bit more fast and loose, and had fun with them in the earlier seasons before it ramped up; but every time the Empire comes for the crew and their allies, they are truly threatening and there isn't many incompetent villains on their side here. Hence every episode can have you biting your nails because we don't know the fates of our crew. Yeah on the brightness issues with this and the next episode. It seems they upgraded their lighting engine this season, so that the brightest stuff shines out but it makes the darker parts even darker. Even on my 4k OLED tv, I had to adjust the settings a notch or two, and some were having even more difficulty. With you having lights on you too Mel, could have created an issue for you, so I'm happy you note that you were glad to have turned up the brightness here and for the next ep. Its not so bad for some of the episodes to come, but you might have to revisit turning it up again for the finale. I love the scene with Crosshair sniping at the CX. He's still missing, whereas before he would have took him out in one hit. However adding the grenade onto his shot was a nice move and puts the CX on the defensive. "you're as bad as Hunter" - "oh I'm much worse!" : Haha, I love the bond between Crosshair and Omega now. He may be the grumpiest brother, but he's going to be looking out for her as much as Hunter and the others will! Love it! :D I also love the next scene between Howzer and Crosshair. Howzer was the one who was in Crosshair's face last ep about how he doesn't trust him and blames him for what happened to his squad from Ryloth. I like you mentioned in your preamble Mel about loyalty, Crosshair mentions in the finale of season 1 to Hunter "you weren't loyal to me!", and that was one of the reasons he didn't go back with the rest of the squad in that finale. Now he's seen that how the Empire treats all clones and saw that the loyalty from them wasn't forthcoming and thats what finally opened his eyes about what this new regime was, and that he had to get out. We were all the same with you Mel watching this, thinking "oh no, don't!" with Crosshair possibly dying here, especially after him now coming back. There is also a hint of the same theme Kevin Kiner used when Tech died to just amp it up! Those CX Troopers are a real problem. Note its Howzer who saves Crosshair from going over the waterfall, the clone he had issues with in the previous episode! :) Something interesting that I heard, that these formidable CX Troopers are going after clones specifically it seems, just like what the Empire does later with Inquisitors going after their own fellow force users (and in many cases ex-Jedi). They do like to turn brethren against each other. We can see Wolffe is where Crosshair was (and Cody in the beginning of season 2). He's not seen the atrocities yet the Empire is now doing, so is staying loyal to them. However, he acted honourably thoroughout this episode, showing that his moral code is just; he's just not ready to get out yet. We know he ends up with Rex and Gregor later however, so we do know he eventually has enough. Oh and Gregor is on the shuttle with Echo too, as a nod to that union later. :) I like the end scene where Wolffe's underling queries his choice, and he tells them that may be they are on the wrong side to him, but that they are still clones, who have been through all that they have, and you can see the rest of his clone squad stand up with pride at those lines. Get out soon Wolffe! Oh and of course CX2 gets out of the water at the end, like some freakin' Terminator!! Hunter telling Rex he can't win this fight against the Empire. We know Rex (and Wolffe) makes it all the way to Endor, so eventually does win it! :D
