Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to Bad Batch, season 3 episode 5! OMG!! This was such a great healing episode! I'm so glad that Crosshair and Hunter got to work through some things here. I'm actually really proud that Crosshair was as expressive as he was! It might not happen overnight but we're gonna get through this :D Also Echo is back, yay!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Lula and the cardigan were such amazing and beautiful touches!!!! It's never gonna be easy with Crosshair for sure, but I think it will get a little better over time. He does have a really sweet rapport with Omega. Yes, I thought they'd already implied that they were trying to make him into an assassin so I wasn't too surprised, but now we know for sure what they were doing to him. Between the experiments and the guilt, he's definitely much different, sadly. OMG same, I love Wrecker's wholesome/direct kind of trust and honesty! Oof, yes, it's sad to think that Tech didn't even make it to see that Crosshair is back :( The moment of silence was rough. I couldn't agree more about Omega, and also the similarities to Ahsoka's dynamic when she was younger too. She's still learning and she's still physically small, but she's definitely come a long way! Crosshair is so closed off, it's gonna take a lot to get any kind of acknowledgement out of him I guess, but the little smile that Omega got from him was great! That's so true about the little moment of immaturity there - it's cute but also shows that they don't have much experience outside of being soldiers. I know, seeing him with the helmets was so sad!!! I think you're right about the whole argument between Hunter and Crosshair being a long time coming. From Crosshair's point of view, it kinda makes sense like you said! That big worm ruined a big moment lol! You're right, they still wouldn't have made it too far in their argument even if the beastie hadn't interrupted. I'm glad you agree that it's realistic for this not to all get resolved right away! OMG you're kidding that Dee is the ice vulture AND Batcher too!!! Good lord, the man is a genius!!!!!!!!!

2024-05-11 17:57:44 +0000 UTCYeah, you're right! Yes, it took me a bit but I did start to recognize that this was the same base! The bird, the helmets, etc. HAHAHAHA nooooo I hope they don't start giving dogs the Jojo treatment on this show :P Exactly, it's not an overnight thing. Oh yeah, I can totally see how that was like the RvB apology haha, I guess that's just how guys do it :P Yeah that's a big drop in percentage :/ Everything's gonna be ok!!!!

2024-05-10 17:21:06 +0000 UTC“Where’s Crosshair?” “He’s… still adjusting.” Actually I think the correct term would be EVERYONE is still kind of adjusting. Obviously there’s a few fences that need to be mended between everyone, and that’s not gonna fix itself completely overnight. I think you caught on to this a little, but the imperial base they went to was the same one where Crosshair had that episode where he finally turned on the Empire’s commanding brass - remember the bird? And also the clone helmets he was looking at were those of the troopers he was friends with - so that whole scene had quite a lot more poignancy for him than the others realized. Of course, you can’t really get into feelings too much because there’s always a beastie. And if there’s a dog involved… (automatics checks to see if this is any way related to JoJo… you know) I suppose the “family” dynamic isn’t that different from the current situation Omega is facing. It can’t be fixed overnight, but you can start to crack the code. Also the end scene with Hunter and Crosshair kinda reminded me of that one RvB scene with Church and Tucker when Carolina asked them what kind of apology it was - and they said, dude you just witnessed a year’s worth of male emotion in the last two minutes. What are you gonna do, not all of us wear the heart on the sleeve. XD Also Crosshair’s accuracy went from 100% to 53%. I’m sure everything will be FINE….

2024-05-10 06:09:09 +0000 UTCOmega waking up back on the ship with Lula. She's been sleeping in that dark cell on Tantiss for six months alone, and coming back to Pabu with her family must feel like a dream. I love her little cardigan too she wears in this ep. Crosshair keeping to himself with the others; however he has forged a solid bond with Omega and is as open as he can be with her, though is acting stubborn about speaking to Hunter in particular. This was never going to be easy. His hand is still acting up. And since you have seen episode 6 now Mel, you know that he was getting "conditioned" into becoming a Clone X Assassin but somehow rejected it. The trauma of that though is weighing heavily on him, as I personally believe of the guilt he feels deep down of his choices and actions with the Empire. There has been a cost to his time with the imps, and showing that he isn't quite able to do what he used to as the best sniper in the galaxy, is a big price for him to pay. Hunter isn't sure about giving him his rifle back, but what I love about Wrecker is that there is an honesty to him; he trusts Omega's judgement completely, so trusts Crosshair. That little moment where they all look down in sorrow remembering Tech, is tough. Tech and Wrecker in the last season tried to rescue Crosshair, but as we know that mission went south. Now Crosshair is back, but Tech is gone... :( Yeah its understandable that Hunter wants to protect Omega by not having her coming along to Barton Five, but she reminds me of Ahsoka during the Citadel arc here, where Anakin didn't want her coming along, but she said it had to be her choice when to put herself in danger and that she couldn't be handled with kid gloves all the time. Same with Omega here. She may be small in stature (nor is she a Jedi), but she is increasingly getting able to handle herself and it was her (and Crosshair) that made it back to the group. She isn't that kid on Kamino in season 1 any more. Omega even manages to get a little smile out of Crosshair in the next scene - that's big hehe! And Wrecker giving him his armour back is a nice moment, though I would have loved an acknowlegement from Crosshair to Wrecker even with a nod - but he's a very closed off individual, its hard for him too as it is for Hunter in particular with him back. When Crosshair mentions "he started it" with the tiff with Hunter, it to me shows how mentally underdeveloped clones are. We've seen this before when Hunter asks Omega about certain choices she does, and he usually sees things in another light after, suggesting to me that though they know about soldiering, life is more difficult to adjust to. When Crosshair picks up Mayday and the other clone helmets to place them back as a memento mori, is powerful. This was the place where he broke and coming back here must be painful. Hunter squaring up to Crosshair has been coming for years. Out of all the Bad Batch, these two must've bickered the most when they were growing up, and Hunter feels Crosshair betrayed them. To me there is a touch of bias in his thinking, as when Crosshair put them in danger in season 1, his chip was active and had been heavily tweaked so he was subservient to the Empire. At the end of the season when he had them back on Kamino, his chip was taken out and twice saved them and Omega in that finale. He just wanted them back with him as imperials. Crosshair sniping back when Hunter prods him about what happened, both are angry at themselves and each other about their actions and guilt, and are trying to hurt each other. A big worm gets in the way before things get messy though! Wrecker saying "why is there always a giant monster" and this time I agree with him. I would have liked more dialogue instead of having to see off this beastie. HOWEVER, with the way Hunter was butting heads with Crosshair here, I don't think anything he might have said, would have enabled Hunter to trust him yet. Hence why seeing him back in action with him and the crew, and helping save his life is a big moment, as it tells him that Crosshair is not the same person they left on Kamino. As you say though Mel, this is quite realistic and things will not be quite hunky dory yet, it will take time to have Crosshair back gelled with the squad. Oh btw you mention about Dee again, he also voices the ice vulture here too alongside Batcher! Legend! :D
