Bad Batch 3x02 "Paths Unknown" reaction & review

Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to Bad Batch, season 3 episode 2! We finally get to catch up with our other crew here, and not just them - some young clones too! I love the lesson they were able to learn from some "defective" clones - who ironically treated them way better than a bunch of regs did! (To be fair, they're probably all under the influence of Order 66, but still.) It's also good to know that Hunter and Wrecker are gonna stop at absolutely nothing to find our best girl!!! Can't wait to see what happens next! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

I know, they look so beat up! And that's such a great point about Wrecker. These poor clone kids, they probably saw some awful stuff! OHHHHHH no kidding, I didn't realize that was the same VA! I guess Dee can't do everything all the time haha :P I hear you on the vines, that's a big nope for me as well! OMG the shot of Lula :(((( AHHHHHH noooo I've never ever associated Naboo with Palpatine but you're right!!!!!! :O Jar Jar I don't mind as much haha, I know he can be a bit much but he's no Palpatine :P Ooohhhh sorry I'm so delayed writing you back, but how was the rewatch of Phantom Menace? I actually went and saw it in theaters with my brother for the re-release. He and I saw it together as kids 25 years ago and we saw the re-release together as adults :D The big screen experience hits different right?!

2024-05-15 13:37:36 +0000 UTCFrom the off seeing Hunter and Wrecker especially, their armour looks to be pretty heavily damaged. They have been through the wars trying to turn the galaxy up and down looking for Omega. Speaking of Wrecker, I love how he is the one trying to keep Hunter from doing anything rash in the search by reminding him of what happened with Tech. He may be a big lovable lug, but there is times when he shows some wisdom and can see things clearer than the rest. So Hemlock was stationed at this base, probably before Tantiss was built and then they destroyed it as they left. Typically they made something insidious in the shape of these slithervines just before they did so, to run rife on this world. They really just infest every place they inhabit, the imperials. Those clone kids must've seen a lot too though, having to be guinea pigs for Hemlock's research and then being left even by their fellow clones. I often wondered what happened to the clone kids, and now we know. They must've went to similar places like this, or been used as fodder elsewhere. Horrible. The leader of the group, Mox, is voiced by Daniel Logan, who played young Boba Fett in Attack Of The Clones. He's voiced clones elsewhere too over the years, but nice to bring him back here and give Dee Bradley Baker a bit of a break! :P Eugh, those slithervines turn into face-huggers, amongst others if you cut them! Nope!!!! After escaping that monster, they find that Tantiss is someplace in a sector, though that could still be amongst millions of systems, but it is a start. The kids can go back to Pabu and recover, so whilst this mission wasn't a total success, some good was done. The camera pan down to Lula at the end brings a lump to the throat. So you'd like to go to Naboo - Palpatine's homeworld? ;) Also Jar-Jar! Na I'm staying well away from there lol. By the way I'm paying good money to watch Jar-Jar on Monday lol! Since the Phantom Menace is on re-release for its 25th anniversary (!!!!) I decided I want to see it on the big screen again, even if the prequels are not my favourite Star Wars media. It will be good to experience it all again though.

2024-05-02 15:26:40 +0000 UTCOh ok cool, thanks for the info!!! I kinda knew that but you know how I get lol, I still have to check. :P Yeah good call, just cause we haven't seen someone, doesn't really necessarily mean anything! Oh I had a feeling they were referencing another ep but I was fuzzy on it, thank you for the reminder!! I do remember that one! OMG RUBY!!!! I remember that now! Yeah Slither Vines weren't a good long term solution, and it doesn't seem like they excel in thinking long term like you said. Yeah I can see how that loyalty would be pretty shocking to clones who aren't used to that concept. I can't wait to see more familiar faces!!!!!!!!! XD

2024-04-30 14:24:50 +0000 UTCOmg that's so true! It's really a visual representation isn't it. I know, seeing Wrecker being so careful is really something. Between Omega and Tech, you can see how it's gotten him shaken up! Ohhhhh that's perfect timing then, I'll have the whole season all finished and ready for me to watch! Hope you love my reactions!

2024-04-28 17:43:41 +0000 UTCMy favorite part about the first time seeing these two. Is how damaged, weathered, and worn their armor is. It shows that they've been through some tough situations all just to get Omega back. It shows that they really haven't stopped at nothing and crossed lines probably for any Intel on the whereabouts of Omega. I also love how cautious and worrying Wrecker is now. It shows how much he cares for his brother's and sister. Being the reckless and forthright dude he usually is. Tech's "death" really shook this man's core and it made me sad when he reminded hunter what happened last time. The finale is next week and I'm so eager to see how this all ends as well as sad that this show is ending. Can't wait to see the rest of your reaction to this season 🙏😌.

2024-04-27 23:37:44 +0000 UTCQuick housekeeping: with the end credits, treat the “Lucasfilm Animation” end logo like the Netflix sign at the end of a JoJo episode - it’s the signal between the end of the actual production and the “credity credits.” I’ve mentioned this before, but you really shouldn’t do the whole thing to yourself of “we never saw [insert character here] in any of the stuff in the future.” Well, in a lot of ways, it’s because those characters hadn’t been conceived of yet. For example, Ahsoka wasn’t created until after the movies were all filmed, so the question became “how and where dies the character fit into the timeline that’s already established.” Gotta take into account the release dates for everything with that. So I don’t think you picked it up but the Durand crime family the BB was meeting with at the start for info, is referencing an earlier episode. Remember when Sid’s place got taken over by the son and there was this whole thing to steal spice and make him have to deal with the Pikes? They apprehended the Pike who cut off his horn. Also I believe he had a pet named Ruby… it’s been a while. Apparently the Empire was developing Slither Vines as a weapon until it went out of control and they had to bombard the place from above. Clearly Imperials are not just short sighted but they don’t recycle either, so no wonder all these young clones are jaded. Pabu is the island you’re thinking of - but as far as peace, I seem to remember a bit of a tsunami problem…. Either way the regular clones are right about the Bad Batch loyalty - apparently not all of the troops get that, so they’re somewhat jealous? By the way, it’s a distinct possibility you might see some more familiar faces next week. 👀
