Hey everyone! Here I am with Jojo Part 6, episode 29!! Jeez, this is really Dio's kid alright! He actually really reminds me of Phantom Blood Dio - angry, willful, but still a bit inexperienced. It's so funny to me that Pucci is so turned off by him....like bro, you're looking at everything the rest of us see in the guy you've been worshipping!!! Anyway, the way that Ermes and Jolyne got out of this is amazing!!! Underworld is really OP until you realize that you can use the "this always has to happen" thing to your advantage. And now Weather Report has....evil rainbows?!!?! Nani?!!? Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

LOL true, Jojo's not exactly family friendly! Yeah, the backstory was pretty tragic alright. That's so cool about Ichiro! I didn't even know if that was a real player or not when I was watching! He definitely got his ego the most. LOL Jolyne is making the Joestar plane curse work for her! OMG the kids thing was too much! But yeah, very Dio :P OOF!!! Yeah he'd have a field day! LOL Yang would be proud!!!!!

That's good to know that it really is a Holes reference! WHOA, I actually never thought too much into the meanings of their Stand names, but wow!!! That actually makes a lot of sense! It really is possible it's a coincidence, but the way it fits together is pretty awesome! I can totally see why you love Jolyne!!!!!! She just gets better and better too!

Anyway, the origin of Versus isn’t that different from what DIO’s upbringing was - pms good turn deserves another. Abusive parenting, neglect, etc… no wonder he turned into a model citizen. Funny fact: Ichiro, the baseball player mentioned there, actually was on my favorite team for quite a while. You were saying Verdus picked up a lot of traits of DIO but it seemed to be more focused on his ego - his refusal to believe anyone could defeat him, as well as the delusion of grandeur. Speaking of that, Jolyne’s actually using her inherited knack for crashing planes into a positive, if you can believe that. Using sick kids from the hospital to try and draw on their guilt is a little bit too far over the line, though - but it’s also very DIO. I was just thinking, Bly, it’s a good thing Morioh’s Kobayashi isn’t around to take advantage of these kinda traps, is it? 😅 I’ve seen some interesting ways to get out of weird situations, but hiding inside people is a pretty new one. I guess you could say things are really starting to… unravel? :P

2024-04-08 14:10:45 +0000 UTCHi Hime :) Yes it is indeed Donatello Versace, which is of course a reference to the fashion stylist Donatella Versace, sister of the creator of the brand... Versace. But Versus can work just as well since it is also the name of a Versace fashion line. For the idea of a band called "Devil Rainbow", not sure it exists, but stretching the logic a bit, Dio, the singer not the character, is known to be the father of the devil horn sign for the metal and hard rock, and one of his bands was called Rainbow, so there is that lol. I don't know the movie Holes, but you can be sure that this is the intended reference. You know that Araki is a fan of films and since "Underworld" created a big hole, you don't have to look far. Besides when you think about it, the three sons of Dio have as stand, Bohemian Rhapsody, Sky High and Underworld. I don't know if he chose the names at random, but if not, it would be interesting to look into it. - Bohemian Rhapsody: the bohemian evokes someone who does not comply with the rules of society, rejecting it, corresponding both to Ungaro who escapes into drugs but also to Dio. - Sky High: it evokes a goal to achieve, self-confidence for Rikiel and paradise for Dio, but also the possible fall. - Underworld: it describes both the world of the dead, what Dio was as a vampire, and the fact that Versace is a sub-Dio, he is literally underw the world. I find it amusing to see things like that. As I said, this is also what I like with Jojo, it is possible that many choices were made at random, but the fact of analyzing them and seeing possible elements finely thought out, makes it all even more exciting to see, read etc. In any case, you understand better and better why Jolyne is my favorite JoJo, and you haven't finished the current part yet.
