Hey everyone! Here I am with Jojo Part 6, episode 9!! OMG!!!!!!!!! Wow you guys, that was one heck of a game of catch! If it was supposed to be a nod to the D'arbys, I'm all about that!

2024-03-20 13:48:19 +0000 UTCYeah, we don't get many official bdays!!! Oooooohhhh I love this bet!!! I bet Kakyoin would love Star Wars!!!! Hmmm....I could definitely see him being an Obi-Wan guy!!!! That's the thing, all these fights are just like mere minutes!! Especially with all the time stops. Ohhhhhh I can totally see saving everyone else then, if their deaths were only a matter of minutes apart from Joseph's!!! I wish that'd really happened :( But yeah, they'd probably become vampires if he tried the blood thing. OMG Iggy's fave is totally Chewy hahaha!!!! So he couldn't get in a cinema, but who's to say he didn't wander into a drive-in theater while he was a stray? Yeah the death dates are kinda vague for Part 4 too but I'm guessing Shigechi was like late June/early July, and Okuyasu's NDE was sometime after July 15, so yeah! It was a bizarre summer, we can't be expected to keep it all straight haha. OMG Dio would totally love Palpatine!!!!!! That's canon lol!

For example, exactly on (I forgot the hour, but you can check in the anime) on January 16th either 1987 or 1988 (minus 17 or 18 years from that to see when he was born, wow, he could be my uncle and I bet that Kakyoin watched the premiere of that sci-fi flick, you know ;), Star Wars, in the cinema, that's my headcanon at least. Who is Kakyoin's fav Star Wars (original, he couldn't have see any other) chara? My bet is that it's either Han Solo (he came back to help!) or Obi Wan Kenobi. What do you think?)) it's a turn of the year and Araki forgets that sometimes, okay? Noriaki Kakyoin gave his life. And then several minutes later Dio died. Yes, several minutes later. The fights are not as long as they look. Especially if you're not privy to seeing the stopped time. (That's why in some fanfictions, besides saving Joseph, Jotaro saves Kakyoin and Abdul and Iggy (my headcanon is, btw, that Iggy's fav Star Wars chara is Chewie and I'm not changing my headcanon on that. Wait. Dogs aren't let into cinemas in 80s, right? Oh, well)... (a very bad idea, that, because as they don't have Hamon, they'd, seriously they would, they would become vampires if Jotaro did such a stupid thing, which is why he didn't. He knows that they didn't sign up for THAT.). Anyway. So. Abdul dies January 16th, then? Or 15th? Who knows. I forgot the hour, so I'd have to check the clock. Ditto Iggy. Shigechi dies... wait, let me check. Summer 1999, but I forgot the month. I'll check later. Okuyasu has a near-death also during summer 99, because that's one bizarre summer, okay? IDK when's Okuyasu's birthday, who knows.... I'll check later. Okay, anyway, enough for now. (Dio's fav chara is surely Palpatine, unless you have other ideas :D, tell me. XD )

I'd be curious to know more about compatibility too - if I had to guess, I'd say that some Stands just don't fit with some people maybe? As far as being able to handle a Stand, I think it just sort of forces the issue kinda?? I'm not really sure, that's just my take on it!

Jolyne was fantastic again, delivering what needed to be served. ⚾ I want to know what “compatible” means for the disks. Is it people who wouldn't be able to handle stands at all, or were completed bad matchups?

I was just thinking this is a slightly more intense game if catch than the flashbacks in AoT (you know which voice I made that comparison for.) From what I understand - it’s a Stand built on conscience - you can get away scot free as long as you believe in your heart you actually won. But if you feel like you cheated, that’s when it gets you. Jolyne is really channeling her father’s vibes, huh? She might not want to hear it, but she’s a chip off the old block - and now she’s the prison pitching machine. And you thought sports wouldn’t be exciting! 😁 Anyway, question: why exactly does Pucci want Jotaro’s memories? Also, heh heh: F.F. Is you if someone tried to make off with your JoJo cup, right? I’m just saying I’m drawing comparisons. Yare yare…. 😅

Of course I understand that it would have been a lot if you had made a birthday post for each one. But even this week there is a new Jojo birthday coming up. Because February 17th is Emporio's birthday. February is really packed with lots of Jojo-related events. But I'll let you know about all of them when the time is right. Now I come to this episode. The Marilyn Manson fight is not exactly my favorite of the stand-up fights. I found the Darby brothers much cooler and more interesting. Maybe it's also because their fights were stretched out over several episodes and so there was more build-up. Nevertheless, the fighting is very well designed and also varied. Also the little anecdotes on the Darby Brothers are pretty well done, that the stand-user says good, just like the older Darby Brother. Jolyne was also very badass again in this episode and found some very interesting solutions to win the fight. We also got to know FF a bit better, which is a positive aspect of this episode.

At least you get to keep your life. xD Also I gotta love the beginning of this episode. Pucci's trying to get into his big Jojo Villain Monologue and the whole time Mirschon is like: "....Yeah, but... what does that have to do with my parole?"
