Hey everyone! Here I am with Jojo Part 6, episode 6!! Oh man, we've got a new Stand user and wow is this ability a fun and clever one! Not to mention the opponent we're facing off against.....who I've gotta say, has erm, quite a unique ability as well! And an interesting mentality :/ It was fun watching Ermes get the hang of her Stand though, I think I'm gonna like her! Oh yeah, and let's not forget that we have a teeny bit more insight into how Whitesnake works!!! Can't wait for more! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Omg I know, right?! LOL it was totally like Inside Out with the emotions being all over the place wasn't it. I love Ermes' Stand! Haha yup, another bizarre adventure and she handled it really well!!!

It was like that Inside Out movie with all the little emotions taking over every 2 minutes. Ermes’s stance is so cool. I can't wait to see her. This episode was wild. Her first encounter with another stand was crazy, and she took it like a champ.

I wonder if that will come back around? Hahahahaha I get the reference!!!!!!!!!!!! XD Yeah I think you're right about this particular instance.....it's not so much about mental health as it is a statement on this individual's personality perhaps? Oh good call on duplicating the money, dang! You called it with Kiss!!!!

I'm looking forward to meeting even more characters! Her Stand is pretty awesome. I can see why the McQueen fight isn't your fave but it's kinda clever! And we do get to know Ermes like you said! OMG, that's crazy about the background story!!! I had no idea it was loosely based on a true story! No way, he was Nukesaku too?! That's so interesting! And interesting about him voicing Tarkus in the game!!!!

2024-02-06 14:08:28 +0000 UTCI try to keep these comments a bit shorter because you produce a lot of minutes on Mondays, particularly for someone who needs to go see the episode first… plus you know what’s coming so I’ll just pop in a couple thoughts after this: 😅 The narration at the start I found interesting, when they were talking about the prison. The quote was something like “power and mystery were birthed here, raised in filth.” By itself that doesn’t mean much, but they used the word “birthed.” Is that something to do with Emporio, and could he also be a Stand user? Watches Ermes figure out the stickers: “hey, you have six fingers on your (in this case, left) hand. Someone was looking for you.” (If you know the reference, you know 😉) So apparently not only do you lose memories but you can’t retain any without the disc? Also what is White Snake really after - also he was right about McQueen - he’s so self obsessed and distraught that he has no care for anyone or anything else. Completely selfish. Most of the time suicide is a bigger topic of discussion but in this case I think Araki was just going for… (I hate that this is a pun)… shock value. That being said, you do realize with this ability you could easily duplicate that $5,000… I’m gonna guess that the name for her Stand without hearing it is actually Kiss though. It fits better. :P

2024-02-06 04:24:15 +0000 UTCHey Melissa! In this episode we take a look at our first Josis of this part. Ermes Costello is a really interesting character. Unfortunately, we don't see much backstory from her in this episode, but that will definitely come later. I actually like her a lot, but she's not one of my favorite characters from this part. Which is actually weird because this part actually has a lot of female characters that are interesting, but somehow it's again the male characters that are in the spotlight for me. But I think you'll understand when you get to know them. Ermes Stand is one of the coolest ones from this part because her ability is really unique. You can also do a lot of creative things with it, which will appear in later episodes. The Mcqueen fight isn't one of my favorites, but it's pretty cool overall. And it serves its purpose to really introduce Ermes as a character. I found out a little fun fact about the fight. McQueen's backstory of accidentally shooting a woman, who was committing suicide, is likely based on the story of Ronald Opus, an anecdote made up by Don Harper Mills to show how many legal consequences can happen because of one event. "On March 23, 1994, a medical examiner viewed the body of Ronald Opus and concluded that he died from a gunshot wound of the head caused by a shotgun. Investigation to that point had revealed that the decedent had jumped from the top of a ten-story building with the intent to commit suicide. (He left a note indicating his despondency.) As he passed the 9th floor on the way down, his life was interrupted by a shotgun blast through a window, killing him instantly." Also McQueen's voice actor also voiced Tarkus in the Part 1 videogame from 2007 released only in Japan, and Nukesaku (the pathetic guy who opens Dio's coffin before the climax of Part 3 and Dio stops time to put him inside it to shock the Crusaders) in the anime

2024-02-05 18:59:17 +0000 UTCSo this episode has some unfortunate Trivia, but Thunder McQueen was named after Alexander McQueen, who is a high profile fashion designer who unfortunately... Decided he didn't want to live anymore. Keep in mind that Thunder McQueen's manga debut was WAY back in the Year 2000, while the real McQueen's death happened in 2010. So I don't think Araki wasn't really trying to predict anything or call Mr. McQueen out. It's just unfortunate coincidence.
