Hey everyone! Here it is - my reaction to episode 20 of Kamen Rider Gotchard! WHOA!!!!!
I was not expecting to get this kind of Spanner ep!!!! Dang, what a tragic past! So Spanner is actually quite powerful, maybe a little too powerful....!! And now he's a malgam, letting his rage take total control. Minato is definitely waiting and see what happens here, picking his moment, I have no doubt! But shoot, this is gonna be the most epic friendship-save-comeback-Rider-debut ever!! We're finally getting some answers you guys! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

HAHAHAHA I'm too smart for these writers ;) Ohhh good call on the Midas Touch thing! Yeah that was you that mentioned the memories thing, go ahead and enjoy that pat on the back! It kinda felt like they were protecting Spanner but I'm not sure, they were definitely skilled though. Ohhhhh ok thanks for clarifying about the black flame thing. I think I thought that was the result of an experiment. Yeah, you can't blame him I guess! Thanks for the info on Rinne's Rider! (I still don't know how to pronounce it but I'll listen closely next time!) Yeah you might be right about Minato being under a spell, it's hard to tell if it's that or he's just going along with it. I'm totally getting Michinaga vibes!!! So true, they love to do henshin-turns-against-user plots, they did it in Zero One like you said! Omg why not throw more into the mix right haha!

And Dread having fire elements too. Hmmm you think there's more to the whole dead can't use alchemy thing?? I know, I feel bad for Kyoka! I'm sure she'll be a factor in his debut as a Rider!

I think it would be more appropriate to classify it somewhere under “young adult,” as we’ve dove some fairly mature stuff in general, for what I’ve seen. At least when it comes to that kind of audience. “I’m probably reaching by saying his parents are dead and got brought back to life, right?” Show runners: “she figured it out, I guess we cancel the series now.” :P One thing that occurred to me is they’re making quite a deal out of Geryon (it sounds like Glion, definitely - spelling weirdness I guess.) and his use of gold. Which occurred to me, one of the most well known alchemy tales is about the power to turn anything into gold and how the wish for that started to go completely haywire. I think it might’ve been called the Midas Touch or something along those lines. I’m gonna go ahead and pay myself on the back for figuring out Spanner had memories missing as early as that - though it seems Kyoka’s motives were a lot different than what we thought. Also it seems that Spanner’s parents were skilled at combat so what did Geryon have to simply overwhelm them? I don’t know if they were straight up protecting their kid in that situation, though. So my understanding of the situation is this: Spanner has the innate black flame ability that’s capable of consuming him - it’s kinda like a Hulk problem - and his emotions got the better of him. Geryon got wind of this and wants this power, it’s not something he started himself, but he wants to take advantage of it. Also Kyoka said if Spanner was taken by the black flames, then he could not be a Rider. Course you can’t really blame him too hard for being upset, but uh… gold boy and Angel dust over here ain’t exactly helping the situation. Also if they were already dead, then I think what we saw was just a physical illusion, but it still did the trick. Two other quick things: the name of Rinne’s Henshin is Majade. The other is you keep yelling at Minato to do something, but I get the impression he might be under a spell too, but is able to retain his faculties but not act against Geryon. That’s the theory I’m working on anyway. He’s either playing a VERY long game, or his hands are tied. Oh, we haven’t actually inducted Spanner into the KIA yet. He’s a bit too much of a love wolf so far. Also, anybody else getting a few Michinaga vibes outta him? Of course I do recall a Zero One point where the Henshin turned against its user as well. Oh well, it’s not even the halfway point of the show yet, they needed another challenge, right? :P

2024-02-01 05:52:50 +0000 UTCHi Hime :) Well, this episode makes me like Spanner a little more, even if he becomes a kind of Sasuke with his stories of revenge and black flame lol. Speaking of flame, I read something on Twitter that I found amusing and interesting, Gotchard has a furnace on his chest, uses "ignite" to become Fire Gotchard, Majade uses the Sun chemy for his henshin, so a big fireball. Now that Spanner has black flames, we have a fire tio. I also saw that Dread could be inspired by another type of furnace, which would make the yellow of its design like molten gold and I like it, it goes with Geryon's obsession with it. "the dead cannot use alchemy" this sentence which seems to be said just like that, seems more important to me than it seems if a certain theory that I have proven to be true. Kyoka is really like a big sister to Spanner now and after 10 years, I'm sure that's how she sees it, so it must be hard for her too and I hope she'll be one of the reasons for which Spanner transforms into a Rider.

Because even though he is seen as a tool, he is also an important friend. And being put to full use is considered a point of pride as a chemy vehicle. Information for Malgam Ability Angle Malgam : Has the power to revive souls and bodies using the ability of Chemy Angelead, and while those who are revived retain their memories, they lose the special skills they had before they were alive. Information for chemy Angelead : The name comes from the portmanteau of the words of Angel and lead as in guiding someone or something on a certain path which evident due to the arrow sign it holds.

2024-01-31 14:13:39 +0000 UTCI'm not sure about that, I see a chance that he became a rider, but still a long way before bejng saved. He might still be a Malgam even through he's a Rider too. That would be cool. Imagine being a rider is not enough to defeat an enemy, even revert back to Valvarad still not working, so he had to transform into Malgam to defeat enemy. Fun Fact: A brief scene when Madwheel fly to Spana, he's crying in his card.
