Hey everyone! Here I am with a book report for you on an awesome light novel called Purple Haze Feedback!!! WOW was this a great read, and I'd say a must-read for anyone who's finished Part 5 and wants more detail on what life looks like after the part ends! I love the way that Fugo is fleshed out here, and the way that we get to really see what mafia life with Giorno as the new boss would look like. But wow, I was NOT expecting some of the little tidbits about other parts in here, that was a real delight!!! Great book! Enjoy! ~ MH

Yeah I probably should have done that, oh well. I'm glad you liked my discussion! It's actually really similar to that. Few rival my obsession with Jojo at this point haha but I'm glad you can appreciate the love and work that was involved in writing this book too! HAHAHA this meme is the first thing I thought of when you said I was a Jojo addict: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lqQZVa0W43M I do still need to read those RWBY books!!!!

2024-01-27 15:01:54 +0000 UTCI do feel like you probably should’ve posted this prior to the part 6 reactions if you filmed them in that order. It’s not a big deal, but it does throw people for a loop. I didn’t actually read it or have time to, but it was interesting hearing your discussion about it. It sounds a lot like it’s a very similar vein to what Dave Filoni does with Star Wars - in this case Araki is playing the role of George Lucas - and thus author is just filling in gaps. (That’s how the character of Ahsoka got created as an example.) Sometimes it’s easier to run with a story once you have the characters laid out for you than to create it from scratch. I enjoy JoJo, maybe not to the level of obsession you have with it, but I appreciate the creativity involved. Oh, and I do believe we can officially call you an addict at this point. To JoJo I mean. PS: about those RWBY books you still need to work on… 😉

2024-01-25 21:38:39 +0000 UTCAwww thanks Manny, I'm glad you enjoyed my informal style on this one hehe! Oooh it is kinda like a book club! That's the thing, like all of this definitely needs to be canon! Oh I like that, we can easily feng shui anything that doesn't quite fit! I'm so glad you enjoyed the info here! I agree about Giorno - he has those natural leadership skills/qualities. So true, he definitely has even more than just the ability to give orders too, he can really see/care for his crew. OMG I know right, I didn't realize that either until the book kinda highlighted it for me! Giorno was there for him the way he was there for others, hence spurring on that rebirth! He knew for sure that everything was in good hands with Giorno! It was really great to have more attention given to Fugo's inner thoughts, conflict, etc. here! Omg Narnar :((((( It definitely gave more depth to his story and the overall story of Part 5 to know what he was going through. OMG Trish as a singer?! That fits so well for some reason, I just love it! Right?!?!!? Like that line from Giorno just does SO MUCH to complete the circle and I love it too!!! It's so Bruno, right?! Like you can tell he had a big influence on Giorno and/or they just really aligned in the way that they treat the people around them. It was so nice to have all the nods to other parts, I was dying lol!!! Yeah it's not quite canon but look at it this way, this is more canon than any other theory/fanart/fanfiction out there, since this was published with Araki's permission and he even did art for it! So like, it's half-canon at least :P But yeah, I'm taking it as canon! Awwww you're so welcome and thank YOU for listening!!! OMG I'm off to see the fanart too!!!! XD XD XD

2024-01-23 14:09:11 +0000 UTCI enjoyed this more than I originally thought. Chitchatting rather than a report was a good call for this one. It made the listen feel much more relaxed like a book club. I was devouring the information. I think I’m also going to make it canon in my head. How can I not? The small bits you explained could easily be feng shuied, I’d still have to read it for myself of course but overall nothing too big that it couldn’t work. I definitely like the layout that you did just explaining it piece by piece. There’s a lot of wonderful things the book did which I freaking loved. The highlights for me were the small insides on Giorno, the boss. Although I’m sure he’s killing it. One thing about Giorno is that he’s always had this aura about him that screams natural leader. He’d help one out on a journey in some way rather than just give orders when he can. I like that it shows his attention towards other factors outside the title “boss” role and can see his reaching out to those who are need a sense of direction. The whole rebirth thing (🤧) I can’t believe I never even thought of that. To the others, Bruno was someone who gave them a new way in life or purpose. Yet he also needed a shoulder to lean on a little when it came to even discussing his inner plans. Giorno being his sole confidant with his inner workings was the start of Bruno’s own rebirth. The others looking up to him so much was fantastic but it’s big shoes to fill however he has accepted this since meeting Giorno and I know he was confident leaving everything to Giorno. He is doing a fantastic job in all aspects of a true leader. Overall I liked that it gives time to get to know Fugo. We didn’t really get to know him so I liked that story after part 6 gets turned into something of its own. I’m remembering Narnar claiming to Trish that they would get the job done no matter hate ( 😭 ). Fugo having mix feelings about the ordeal is something I didn’t know I wanted to be addressed but this gave things greater depth for part 6! Trish singing! Ugh see it’s bits like that and lines like THAT from the Giorno that bring it full circle. Giorno doing this all for the sake of someone who needs it is so something Bruno definitely would have done. It’s more the sake of the person than the mission. Although that’s also important but it’s awesome to hear that. It lets me know they’re in good hands. The mask making a comeback, a nod to Antonio which was nice and just the overall care the author had shows how much he cares for the material. It may not be considered “canon” maybe cause of the anime changes but I’m taking it as is. Thank you so much for sharing this was wonderful. Now excuse me as Leonie has some art waiting for me 🚪 🚶♂️

2024-01-23 11:40:13 +0000 UTCUnfortunately, there aren't that many fanarts out there, but I've put together a few that caught my eye and that I think are really nice. https://www.pinterest.de/pin/728035096074083163/ https://www.pinterest.de/pin/32862272270306299/ https://www.pinterest.de/pin/844493666636263/ https://www.pinterest.de/pin/56013589115456844/ https://www.pinterest.de/pin/728035096074295340/ https://www.instagram.com/p/C2LA7bso2SC/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/CXjmviUv77A/?img_index=1 I love this one so much!😭 https://www.instagram.com/p/CR_cRx3lXSR/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/CSB15MclyZR/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/CSHOxHfFgIV/?img_index=1 https://www.instagram.com/p/CSJ3IXXFXYS/?img_index=1 This account illustrated some scences from PHF. This is so good! I also wanted to finally post the fanart I brought up on Saturday, with the OC of someone with Fugo and Giorno. I really wish that would happen in my life. 🫣🤭 https://www.instagram.com/p/CtuwAYCvs2R/?img_index=1

2024-01-22 17:01:29 +0000 UTCHey Melissa, I'm going to check out your book review before I watch your Part 6 videos. Since I think it's a good start. before I give my opinion, I'd like to share the link to Purple Haze Feedback in case anyone else is interested in reading this wonderful book. https://ia600600.us.archive.org/33/items/manga_Jojos_Bizarre_Adventure_Hajishirazu_no_Purple_Haze/Jojo%27s%20Bizarre%20Adventure%20-%20Hajishirazu%20no%20Purple%20Haze.pdf First of all, I'm glad you liked Purple Haze Feedback. It really is a wonderful book, which I can highly recommend to any Jojo fan. Not enough people have read it, it's not very popular, even though it's often talked about. It's probably also because there are no official translations, only fan translations. For me personally, it's been almost a year since I read Purple Haze Feedback. That's why your book review was a good refresher for my memory, because I really did completely forget that the stone mask occurred. Actually, that should be the main thing that stuck in my brain, but no, there were more minor details that I can remember. For example, (you didn't mention this) that Sale and Zucchero appeared again. I thought they were pretty interesting in the anime, but I never expected them to be revisited in the light novel. They were only present briefly, but it was very nice to see them again. I also loved that all the original characters in this book were written in a very interesting way and that their backstories were connected to the story of Part 5. So you could put them in context and feel for them and I loved that. I was really hyped for this book because Fugo didn't appear very often in the anime and manga and I already loved him a lot before that. But Purple Haze Feedback gave me a whole new insight into his character and made me love him even more. His backstory was a bit different from the anime, but that was simply because Purple Haze was written earlier than the anime. It was really heartbreaking to read how bad Fugo was mentally and how he dealt with the events of Part 5. The flashbacks to old missions from the gang were also very emotional. I already mentioned it in our conversation, but I want to emphasize it again in my commentary. I wish I had known about Purple Haze Feedback before I went to Sicily. Because, as I said, I visited the exact location where the fight against Volpe took place. And it depresses me that I had no idea about Jojo back then. I also thought it was really great that we got to know more about Giorno, how he acts as a mafia boss and what his mindset is like. He's definitely developed in a good direction, which is also what I wanted from him. He's never been the most emotional person, but he makes an effort to be there for his members and be a good leader. Exactly how Bruno wanted it. Purple Haze Feedback gave me exactly what the original ending of Golden Wind couldn't give me. It upgraded Part 5 in quality for me. This light novel is canon for me, no matter what others say, even if the backstory of Fugo doesn't match the anime, I don't care. I would like to praise Kadano Kouhei, the author of this book. He really wrote almost exactly like Araki. Maybe even a little better in some places. His imagination is really boundless and I hope that the two of them will start another project in the future. That would be really cool. I also thank you for following up on my recommendation and reading this book, because not many YouTubers/reactors have done that yet. so I'm glad I was finally able to reach someone with my recommendation. Of course, there is also some very good fanart and comics for this light novel, which I don't want to withhold, so I'll post them in another comment.
