Hey everyone! Here I am with Jojo Part 6, episode 1!! WHOA!!!!!!!!!! OMG!!!!!!!! You guys, it didn't sound like it would happen but here we are!! It's a girl!!!!!!!!!!!! I knew it had to be this exact lineage too, like it was the only thing that made sense at this point!!!!! But wow, what a terrible situation our poor girl has found herself in! And DANG, what a way to start the ep hahaha!!! Talk about sensory overload....between meeting our new Jojo, seeing and hearing about, erm, our new Jojo so much lol, and taking in the plot....I was overwhelmed!!! I can't wait for daddy to show up and set things straight here hehe!!!!!!!!! Here we go! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Rough around the edges is a good way to put it. Lol that's true, maybe Araki is trying to think like a girl thinks of a guy?! :P Yeah that was the arrow, and that guard totally had it coming. Hehehe I would love to see Jotaro lay the smack down on Romeo though! Just once! Oooohhh you're right, there was mention of a lawyer, you know I can't hear that without thinking of Dio either! (Hence my Fugo theory last part haha.) Oh yeah, we're not gonna be bored for sure!

2024-01-29 15:18:29 +0000 UTCFirst off never use the word “brief” in a JoJo reaction - you lost those privileges over two parts ago :P Secondly, I think Joseph is rubbing off on you - do you realize half of this episode’s reaction was you just going into OMG moments? (Now I actually kinda want you to edit in a clip of Joseph saying that on each one or give him an OMG counter just for the entertainment value.) 😅 Okay, we’ll… JoJo is a girl. And she’s… really rough around the edges, it seems, as a polite way of putting it. The impression I’m getting so far is she’s equal parts tomboy, impressionable, and blunt. Now I’m wondering if this is how girls hear guys’ conversations, because you know this topic comes up when people don’t think anyone’s listening - or it’s an entertainment script. I think it’s pretty likely that the brooch or whatever it is that pinched her finger is arrow related, it’s the only thing that makes sense. But it seems like she’s not in complete control of it or what it does, as she sliced that one guard’s ear off sort of unintentionally. I guess having Ocean in the title should’ve been a clue Jotaro has something to do with this - but I seriously doubt he’ll be walking around saying “wherefore art thou, Romeo?” Well, he might but in a completely different context. Also, apparently Romeo has a rich father too. You know for a second when I heard the lawyer after the trial I kinda wondered if it didn’t sound DIO-ish, but that story ended a while ago… didn’t it? Look, I’m sure whatever Jolyne is going to be up to, it’s not going to be… boring. 👀

Yeah I hear you about trying to picture Jotaro with a family! And also trying to imagine what his wife would look like. I had to look up what Okuyasu's mom looked like but yeah, I could totally see that! Honestly it's not that I can't picture Jotaro having a family but there was just never any indication that he was even interested in that so we kinda didn't have anything to go on until now! Apparently she was brunette in the manga btw!! LOL they did have like the same exact look on their face didn't they?! Sometimes you can really see another face in Araki's work, Mr. Hime decided to take a look at the first volume of Stone Ocean the other day and he was saying in this one panel Ermes' face looks JUST like Bruno :P I can see it now that you pointed it out! Haha that's true, it makes you wonder if they have a similar vibe! OMG same, like bro what are you doing just standing there?! Yeah wow was pretty much my reaction to that whole intro too lol! Ohhhh that's a great point about her seeking his attention too, it doesn't sound like he's around too much and sending the arrow was his way of like, showing up as a dad I guess haha. But yeah I think he'll actually show up eventually. It was really risky right?! Like if she'd been like Holly this could have gone really wrong lol. I think it's hilarious to think of Jotaro with a kid either just like him or total opposite of him. What we have here I think is sort of a combo!!! Although I'm glad to see she's kinda goofy and cute like Joseph! A rebel kid actually fits really well right? Oscar the Grouch LOL!!! I know, poor Jolyne, you can tell she's really loyal to those she loves....it's too bad this guy didn't deserve that love/loyalty at all!!!! Yeah to her that's just love you know? You don't realize it's puppy until you've experienced something else. I can't wait to get to know her better!

Whenever a female character is written like this I'm always like "they're not written like a woman" but since Araki gives a lot of his male characters more feminine attributes, I think he's just writing people like people, but like the Araki version??? Lol :P

2024-01-23 14:54:57 +0000 UTCYeah I’m also pretty sure I’ve seen Jolene before but never thought she was a Jojo. Very interesting. It’s cool to see the mother and daughter of Jotaro. With a character like him it’s kind of hard/ kind-of-not to imagine what a family like his would be. l knew there would be a greater chance she’d be blonde cause obviously. But since part 4 I figured there was a chance for a nine blonde one. I kept picturing someone similar to what Okuyasu’s mom looked like. But wow she’s pretty and I’m sure she’s sweet like Jolyne said but they really made an exact Jotaro female, look wise. I’m sorry this is kind of rude but when the locket opened up my first thought was “she’s pretty” but she looks like how Jotaro would be if turned female. Like Jonathan/Erina and Joseph/SuzyQ were similar in personality so I’m sure to an extent Jotaro and his wife are the same in that regard but they really gave her Jotaro’s exact facial expression it’s crazy lol I’m sorry 🤭. Again I’m sure she’s nice but I couldn’t help but see a huge resemblance. Okay my first thought on Jolyne was “wow” when we first meet her cause obviously that guard should have walked away. After yeah I could see her being his daughter way before they confirmed it. Like out of all the possible Jotaro kid examples you gave she was one of them. I can imagine one as boisterous like Joseph, stoic like him and I thought maybe more reserved and then there was the rebellious type that got into trouble. I would have died if Jotaro had a kid similar to Joseph ugh that would be something. But this! I’m taking a guess here and given what we’ve seen he’s sent something over instead of coming down himself like Jolyne knew he wouldn’t. So that tells me given Jotaro’s tough exterior he’s probably hard to get a hold of or maybe difficult to get to know even for his own family. So I’m guessing this dynamic is leading towards her wanting his attention. We know he’s great with kids of course but his own? It could prove a new battle for him. Even if he thinks he’s doing a fine job sending that to her was risky. I mean she has the Joestar blood in her but it’s like he new that exact stand was coming out but that could just be me. Even so him sending that down instead of showing up or aiding some other way tells me there’s tension either from one or both. Very interesting daughter so far. Now that I think about it, if I’m right, a rebel of a child seems like the most plausible outcome for the story and someone like him. I could have been right and it cut off on part three and he’d have a more “stable” none stand user family with a child probably like him or you know moderately smiling. But this makes sense. He’s not Mr. Rogers and probably has more in common with Oscar the grouch so I can’t wait to see what that’s about. I mean we have to see him again now. We definitely will I’m sure of it. But man poor girl. All for a guy. But yeah even if it was puppy love, you don’t know it till you’re older and realize it. Man what a start it’s already a journey.

It's been a long and very exciting journey to get here, but you can expect a lot of cool and bizarre things in this part too. I also think it's very cool that you gave another short review of Part 5 and shared your thoughts about it. I'm definitely glad that you enjoyed Part 5 and I'm very sure that you'll love Part 6 too. Of course, the biggest surprise is Jolyne, a Female Jojo. No one in the Jojo community expected Araki to ever write a female Jojo back then. For the reasons you've already mentioned. So it was even more surprising when the first chapter of Stone Ocean was published in 1999. For me, Stone Ocean is a part that is not one of my favorites, but it is by no means bad either. The longer it goes on, the better it gets. And the finale is really magnificent. But it really took me a while to like Jolyne. Only Jotaro had that before. It's kind of ironic that it's daughter and father. As you've probably already noticed, Part 6 unfortunately also had problems with Netflix and animation. These aren't things that particularly bother me, but it's much more noticeable than in Part 5. And Part 5 has, in my opinion, the best animation we've had in a Jojo part so far. I could never really imagine Jotaro as a father because he never gave any indication of wanting children at all, as he was never really interested in women. So it was all the more surprising to me that Jolyne is Jotaro's child. In this part, we also get to see a bit of what Jotaro is like as a father, but unfortunately not as much as I would have liked. That's why I'm all the more pleased to finally be able to share the fanart of him. As always, I'll do that in another comment. I'll spread them over both episodes. I love your Jolyne figure. She looks really great. I would also like my figures to be of such good quality. Unfortunately, I can never find any for 20 euros in Germany.

2024-01-22 18:44:18 +0000 UTCI love how in some ways Jolyne is more of a dude than any of the other Jostars. Maybe not Joseph, but then again he was always a bit more goofy about those things. It makes sense though, a number of the Jostars are noted for having some feminine characteristics so it stands to reason that the opposite could be true.

There’s actually fan comics and fan dubs of a baby Jolyne visiting her Uncle Josuke in Morioh on YouTube that are very wholesome. I don’t remember if there’s anything spoilery in them so if you want to watch them I would hold off for a bit
