As digital creators AI is certainly something that's been on our minds, and in this episode we chat about where Viva La Dirt League stands when it comes to AI. We answer questions like are we using AI? Are we scared of it? And will we ever use AI over people? And no, we didn't get ChatGPT to write this description - all human baby!

AI seems invevitable and right now, I feel I don't have enough information to even know what I should be worried about, if anything. To be honest, I'm more concerned about the human part of the equation.

2024-05-12 11:28:41 +0000 UTCMostly AI will not get people to lose jobs as much as people think, this is my idea about it: the conveyor belt and automated systems in the car industry were once the heat of the moment, and everybody thought that new jobs would not be created. But there were new jobs created. Will people be fired over AI? Yes. Will it lead to massive unemployment? No. New jobs will be created. It has always happend (nature hates a vacuum, that idea). Just like the music industry did not suffer all as much as they feared when cassette tapes came along. We will come to an agreement with AI, and we will find a way to make that equilibrium, as Adam talked about, work. In the mean time, a lot of artists are, right now, being angry about AI, rightfully, because there is no protection for them, and they do lose money over it: would you like a real [insert artist name here] hanging on your wall? Or a generated AI impression of the artists work that costs a lot less. It is happening right now, and it is making good use of the fact that content is not protected right now. The laws need to be made, in every field I think, to protect the creative content of people, as part of that equilibrium. (that healthy living stamp, or better food stamp but made by humans stamp on it? I found that an interesting part of the vlog)
