Afterword - Animal Café 15

I wanted to write a short afterword for Animal Café 15 because of the special thing that happened in it. It is worth explaining what I wanted to do and where I'm going with this.
First, I'm referring to the crossover with Feliformia, of course. In a nutshell, Clara and Misti go to Erika's place and meet with Syr at first and then with Kitty. (in case you didn't know)
I've been thinking about doing a crossover between the two for a long time, but I always decided against it. Not everybody likes Feliformia, not everybody likes Animal Cafe, so I had to find a neat way to make the two worlds collide without harming any of the two stories or antagonizing the readers.
A few months ago, I had this idea that Kitty would have worked the animal cafe all along without us knowing about it and eventually revealing her presence. I never thought of the right way of doing that for a few reasons. The main one being, I didn't want Kitty to steal the show.
Animal Cafe is not Feliformia and will never be, and it's never going to be about the Feliformia characters either.
So I needed a better way to do a cute crossover without going too far. Thanks to Syr and her job as a costume maker, it was my good excuse to merge the two series.
Believe me or not, it is only after Misti ripped her tail off that I got the idea that Syr built those wonderful animal costumes. I believe it was very credible because of the number of times that we heard that she was very talented. We even heard that she crafted some bondage gears in Rubbercat tail 5. So why not rubber animals?
The thing is, Feliformia and Animal Café evolve in two separate timelines. It is fair to assume that what happened in animal café happened after where Feliformia currently is. (The whole family is in the Caribbeans.) Who knows how long after this scene took place. I would say quite a bit later because Syr had to learn how to craft those costumes, and Lucy mentioned that she has pets for about two years.
Another thing is that Syr kept those costumes secret from Kitty. What is the reason for that? I have no idea…. I have some theories, but I'm not ready to share them yet. Possible future content for Feliformia. ;)
I crafted this chapter in a way that you could read it without knowing anything about Feliformia and still enjoy it. It was a little candy for my followers. :)
Now what? Minus some minor references to the costume creator, the next few chapters won't have any crossover, and Kitty won't show up at the café. I have no intention to turn this into a Kitty story. If there is ever something Kitty related, that will be in Feliformia and not animal Café. If there is a new pet in Animal Café, since Lucy was looking to hire more, I will enjoy looking at you, wondering if it could Kitty inside the costume or not. That is going to be entertaining.
So for people who don't like Feliformia and don't like crossovers, don't worry, Animal Café will remain Clara's story.
If you read it this far, here is a secret about Animal Café 16. It is the introduction to the MUCH bigger chapter 17 that will be published on Christmas day. Strap yourself to your chair because it is a very emotional chapter. I took a huge risk, and I hope you'll appreciate it. Chapter 17 will conclude the first arc of Animal Café… So I hope I won't mess it up. I'm betting all my money on the fact that you all love Clara and that you'll be super patient with her while she figures things out for herself. (with the help of her friends, of course)
Anyway… I have to go to bed now…Darn, no! I have to edit this mess first and publish it. ;)

Glad you liked it. Kitty has a very heavy social presence. She doesn't care, in a good way, what people's feelings are and she just gets in their head. When she tells Clara that she doesn't have a communication disorder, she meant it. That's a detail I hope people noticed because it's the keystone for the next chapters. ;)

However I understand keeping the stories separate, both for your readers that only like one of them, as well as for the characters themselves (Kitty would eclipse Clara without even trying :( ), all characters have earned their own places in our/my heart(s). But I'd like to say: job well done! :) I didn't guess at the crossover until the words 'dressed like a maid' came by, and I think you did a marvelous job of introducing the characters from a different view point.
