Cover for The Sun I Can't See

Hi guys,

I'm packaging The Sun I Can't see into one single ebook. I would also like to use it to promote my Patreon by publishing it on Wattpad or something. So, tonight I decided to take a stab at a potential cover using copyright free pictures.

I just wanted to get your opinion on it. I can write, but I can't design anything decent usually.

So, just to explain the idea here. You can see Alex's mirror eye reflecting the big city she lives in, and the rising sun is of course her love life rising. Then over the picture, you see a veil of black silk representing her silk blindfold, which was relevant.

Let me know what you think.

Hehe. I'll keep that cover for now. I changed the yellow mustard to Silver... it makes it better. And yes, you are right, a bright sunny day would be a bit weird. ;)

As for the photo, my only concern would be that the vibes I get from the black and white portrait and the setting sun are a bit dark. My link with the story feels lighter. But then lady in sundress with sun above er at midday would maybe give more of a romcom vibe than a latex/bondage one. Maybe this is better

Once you drive traffic to your book I suspect it will be recommended more often by the algorithm and you can use one group of readers to engaging with another etc etc

Amazon is the most prolific platform so I would agree with MND. Especially if you put it up there for free. A potential way of directing people to it would be to add “if you like this story you might like my free Amazon kindle ebook as well” links to you posts

I'm thinking about it. I will have to figure out how it works. But then, chances that anybody read it are slim to none. There is like 6 million ebooks on the kinkle store, which is probably more than the number of readers... errrh!

Thanks. The new version with the silver title is even better. :)

You should try Amazon Kindle...

I knoooow. I got fooled by the picture naaame. But yes, still matches. :)

It looks very appropriate to your story, looking good :) (1 note from a perfectionist: you describe the rising sun in the picture, however I think they're building lights or headlights. However the city at night is also appropriate, so to me it still looks good :))

Hehe... That's good that it looks like a book cover. Based on a comment I got from a Patron, I changed the text to Silver, and it looks so much better now.

Looks like a book cover, small hints as to the story without giving anything away.

Thanks! :) I quite like it.

Wow looks cool
