Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice ULTIMATE EDITION (2016) - WATCH ALONG Full Length Reaction

HOLY SMOKES this movie was freaking awesome! This was my first time seeing Ben Affleck as Batman and I honestly loved it I thought he did a really great job. Of course was lovely to see Henry Cavill again as Superman, really loved that. Definitely had me feeling a certain way seeing the two of them go head to head but WOW, really blown away by the ending. I took MANY breaks during this movie to just walk around and stretch my legs because this was a 3 hour movie lol so hopefully I lined everything up correctly. I don't always get it right but I'm about 98% sure I got this movie/reaction lined up properly for you guys to watch along. If there are any issues please let me know. I hope you enjoy my reaction!

P.S. This movie is available on HBO and Amazon Prime with HBO subscription!

If I am correct, it wasn't DC that was rushing things, it was WB. Zack and DC wanted a Batman movie first but their hands were tied and they were forced to rush an introduction. Regardless, though, I think they did a good job with it. And while this Batman is very different than other Batmen we've seen, I feel it only makes us want to see his past even more, especially with all the little hints to it throughout the movie.

If or not you like this movie or it's version of the characters. We have to give it up for Zack Snyder for giving us Batman and Superman and the DC Trinity finally in a movie together. Yes Ben Affleck 's Batman is an absolute beast. This is Batman unbound because of Superman Bruce Wayne threw all of his moral code away to me it shows that isn't this figure that is prestine in Gotham. Many fans would say this is not in Batman's character. I say this is what made Batman more interesting in this movie.

That being said, people where understandably confused, even more so when the follow up (the 2017 Justice League) completely did a 180 on batman, as opposed to Zacks justice league which is a continuation of his journey back to being a more traditional batman. Honestly once you're done with ZSJL it might be worth it to look at the 2017 one to see how bad it is

I will be waiting patiently for Justice League. But I will remain giddy with anticipation...just because I know what is coming. 😁😁😁😁😁. Peace and love my friend. ✌️❤🧡💜

I wish they would have made a solo Batman movie before this. It felt like DC wanted to get to Justice League as fast as possible. They should have taken more time building the universe like Marvel.

I was a bit worried to seeing Affleck as Batman for the first time but he played a great Bruce and Batman. Really enjoyed his performance!

GAWD that Doomsday throwdown was INTENSE! I agree Jesse Eisenberg would've made a good riddler, he was constantly speaking in poetry, quotes, and riddles lmao and his demeanor just felt very riddler like. Very excited for justice leage, can't wait!

Thank you thank you, what did it for me was when superman flew, blew up the missiles, and that dude was standing there smiling and nodding his head. I knew something was off about it just didn't know why it was happening. That makes sense about Lex then, he seemed kinda strange and didn't feel like the Lex Luthor I had already come to know. Definitely enjoying these movies!

It was a long watch but I really enjoyed it. I don't know what the theatrical one was like but it must've cut out a lot of the plot. I'm glad I watched this instead.

TRUE that makes sense, he was more rigid at this point. I thought that was robins suit I only had a couple seconds to see it lol.

Yeah that was a bit strange to see Batman just killing people left and right but definitely a really good performance still. Glad you enjoyed my reaction Logan weeee <3

*Takes a Bow* Thank you lol

That's alright! Man of Steel was really good I'd say I liked it more than this one but I still enjoyed it

I do a agree with you it feels out of place for batman to be killing people, but this version of batman isnt himself, hes been batman for over 20 years, lost people close to him, had people turn into villains, and yes that was robins suit you saw after the joker killed him. Alfred brings up that hes turning 'cruel' and the branding is a new thing. So by the time superman shows up this batman's no kill rule has faltered, to the point where he doesn't care if thugs die or not. Superman would have been his first active kill if he went through.

I super enjoyed this movie! I remember hearing a lot of negativity about the movie but after watching again - it was a ton of fun! Bits of it really bugged be though. I don't like that Batman was killing people! xD They really changed a lot of the foundations of the DC universe to craft this movie. It was entertaining but as a DC fan, I really didn't like the way they were portrayed in this. Phenomenal acting from everyone! I just didn't like a good bit of the character's behavior. lol, it really makes me want to watch Smallville again - so I can relax a bit and have some fun from my childhood. It's a quality show that I wish you'd react to - but it's so long that I understand why you don't. Really feel that you're missing out though! Awesome reaction Lauren! :) Had so much fun watching.

Glad that you finally saw BVS; you are definitely a DC fan by naming the rest of JL heroes in this.

I absolutely loved this movie! And loved your reactions!! Always look forward to the watch alongs! Weeee!

I'm thrilled that you watched the extended edition of this one. There are so many little things added back in that it's a crying shame that so much detail and pieces of the puzzle that weren't in the original version.

Terrafan

And, a testament to Batmans impressive physical strength, the one baddie that received a one arm choke slam into the floor from about 5 feet up. Or the last baddie that was almost thrown through the wall. This Batman was incredibly brutal.

I gotta give you credit for figuring out the desert sequence at the beginning so quickly because a lot of that stuff flew over people’s heads for some reason. Your reaction to this film was just what I hoped for. One thing I’ll mention about Lex is that his character isn’t based off of the original Lex Luther, that’s his father. He’s Lex jr, who’s grown up being abused/neglected by Lex senior. I love Zack’s approach to these characters/stories, and I’m happy you’ve been enjoying them so far. 🙂

Doomsday killed Superman in the comics. I had the comic too years ago. He came back as four different beings in one of the storylines. I had those comics too. I ended up giving my comic collection to a coworker's son. 😢😬

Now you see what Clark is willing to do. Ben Affleck acquited himself well. The warehouse fight scene was magnificent. The mass throw down between Doomsday and the core of the Justice League was brutal. Yes, Jesse Eisenberg would have made a good Riddler. And yes, get ready for Justice League. All questions will be answered and you will be very satisfied with the turnout. Lauren, wonderful reaction. Gold on Gold. You never disappoint. Peace and love.❤✌️🥰

Man of Steel is good but I didn't like this movie at all.

Working from home today, about to load up my copy and Lauren on my tablet for the watch along! How about that opening. I was originally worried about Afleck as Wayne, but he did a fantastic job. And the whole homage to Frank Millar scenes was just fantastic. I still enjoy the animated version, but this film did the source material justice. (Heh, double entendre) Glad you enjoyed it Lauren !
