Afterword - Winter Maid - Chapter 3

Mia brainwashed herself. The end.

That was going to be my afterword for Winter Maid - Chapter 3, but I figured that my 5$+ patrons would have been offended by it, so I decided to write a bit more… ;)

But seriously… Mia brainwashed herself. The end. That was pretty much what this chapter was about.

You have no idea how difficult it was for me to write this chapter… Chapter 2 wasn’t so bad… but Chapter 3 was such a pain… and why, would you ask? Well… that is where this afterword might get interesting.

Okay, first, this Chapter didn’t surprise anyone… I’m pretty sure that as soon as you started reading it, you knew how it was going to end. Mia added more and more conditioning until she got trapped and turned into a stereotypical sex doll for Brian, the male who benefited from all of this.

And this is exactly why it was so darn hard for me to write this; it is a turn off for me. You probably can tell from all my stories, but my girl characters are not submissive. They are all strong-willed characters that usually control the storylines. When they are on the submissive side, like Kitty or Chloe, or Syr… It’s a choice. They vocalize what they like, and they go get it.

Mia, not so much… She is driven to please her boyfriend, Brian. She decides to make it cool for Brian… So when I made Mia select conditionings for her SusceptGear, I spent hours sitting in front of my screen, having no idea what to pick. There are 50000 different kinks in the fetish world, but I couldn’t pick any of them.

I was feeling bad to turn Mia into a brainless porn toy because it is a turn off for me… I need my women to be equal, I need my women to be smart. Porn actresses usually turn me off because they are not genuine. (and the bad acting)

As much as I tried to show Mia as a happy person enjoying what she was becoming, it still felt so stereotypical. I got a comment that offended me when I published chapter 2… the person said, “It shows that it is a guy who wrote the story.” … I replied that it was reductive and sexist and that women can choose how to entertain an intimate relationship themselves. Not one woman is the same, and they all like different things. If a woman wishes to change herself to please males, even if it is not flattering for the gender, who are we to judge.

With retrospective, I can understand why a woman would have perceived the story as an insult to women, even though she was wrong in her assessment that I was a misogynist.

So yeah, Winter Maid gives me mixed feelings because it was just about turning a girl into a hyper-sexualized girl, whether or not it was Mia’s choice to do so.

The other thing that bugged me, but this time I controlled it well, is the escalation. We’ve all seen this in other stories… The kinks will escalate and reach a point where the character is incapacitated, and the story hits a wall.

I’ve seen it coming from miles. It was a mistake I barely avoided in Feliformia, and I steered it to a much better place.

In Winter Maid, I didn’t steer the story to a better place; I literally reset it. Brian reprogrammed Mia so she could be herself again, and all of a sudden, the two previous chapters became irrelevant. In the next chapter, I can do whatever I want because Mia is totally free and normal again. Also, Brian said he would take care of her program for a bit… so this might be quite interesting. I feel that Brian will want Mia to like latex again.

On that note, I would like to thank everybody that read this story and tolerated the weirdness. This is one of the series from which I’m trying new things and learning a lot from them. Only four months ago, I wouldn’t have been able to write such a story because my morality would have prevented me from doing so… I’m always too scared to offend someone, particularly my female audience, who would probably not be here if I presented only stereotypical female characters. 

So yeah… Mia brainwashed herself. The end. I’m looking forward to starting in a new direction in Chapter 4. :) For some reason, I want to make Winter Maid more humorous, like in chapter 1… back to the roots. :)
