Afterword - Rubbercat Tails 4

This chapter turned out to be more important than I anticipated. I guess being a 5$ and up patron will pay off on this one. Simply put, Rubbercat tail 4 is the base on which I built Feliformia 11. Because of one small detail...

I'm not going to say which one it is, because I really don't want to take the risk to spoil Feliformia 11, but if you read Tails 4, you probably know what I'm talking about. And if it touched you, Feliformia 11 will give you a run for your money. (hopefully)

Outside that little mystery, Tails 4 was much about Erika and Syr's friendship. We learned how they have met and why, what was Syr's real personality(sheltered), and saw a glimpse of Erika's post-first relationship. 

To me, it is really what I love to write. I mentioned it before, I'm not good at writing sex scenes, and probably never will be. What I'm good at are dialogue and human psychology. I describe the monsters that most humans host within their heart and fend them off using love, understanding, and fun.

Little scenes like Erika buying books to Syr, out of kindness, are always my favorite ones. Picturing in my head a young Syr kneeling on the floor to open her present filled me with immense joy. 

To be honest, it is probably because such things never happened to me and probably not going to happen either. When I was kid, I did receive some gifts, but I don't remember that time, then when I hit 11-12 years old, I was in a position that no matter what people would give me, I was not able to appreciate it.

I like exploring the friendship aspect in a story. Not to sound too dark today, but it is also something I never fully experienced... at least not at an intense level. I see people around me having amazing friendly relationships with people, with hugs and shit. It is something I always struggled with, and I know I'm not the only one in that boat. I find it fascinating and helpful to explore this in my stories.

What I found through my characters is that everybody is different. If your friendship is not an intense one, it is absolutely normal, and there is nothing wrong with it. We don't all deal with people the same way. To me, this is comforting.

So, yes... The next big thing is Feliformia 11, which will close Syr's arc. It will be around 22000 words, like chapter 10, but I think it may be my best chapter so far. Look at that; it's as if I can learn. ;)
