Because the cartoon had a plethora of BM villains, instead of doing the SAME ONES over and over in movie form.

Lego can do no wrong! The movie is a super fun time. Where is mah Lego BM2? Should I mention, the Animated Series was directly based on BM’89... arguably the greatest Batman of all!
