I personally really liked this movie and enjoyed getting to see more of John Rambo especially after everything that happened in the first movie. Many of you have been messaging me wanting more WATCH ALONGS again so I hope you enjoy this watch along- full length reaction (without the movie included). I have the beginning of the movie included to make it easier to lineup your movie with mine :) ENJOY!

If you want to go on a Rambo history deep dive... the author of First Blood- a guy named David Morell did a great dvd commentary which inspired me to read the book! He is obsessed with the idea that HE INVENTED Rambo, a major pop culture icon! Only seen before in Sherlock Holmes and James Bond (strictly talking about book-form literatureβ not comic books). But the joke is on him because his Rambo is not even the same as Stalloneβs version of Rambo. In the book, Rambo kills more people including the sheriff; and Colonel Troutman in-turn kills Rambo (his own creation!) An alternate ending was filmed that follows the book this way but it was decided that Rambo is better as a hero not a villain

2022-12-08 02:57:02 +0000 UTCThe first appearance of the punisher was in 1974 and he was a Spiderman villain. I wonder if they got the idea of Rambo from that, or they came about simultaneously π€ the First Blood book was βoldβ and the movie didnβt get made until the 80s

2022-12-06 09:01:55 +0000 UTCHeβs a bad guy in karate kid so you know heβs a bad guy here too, right? ha ha. Heβs probably supposed to be a crazy Vietnam vet in karate kid as well. Did you know that the punisher is supposed to be a crazy Vietnam vet? but because of the timeline, they have to keep changing it because heβd be like 70 or 80 years old
