Dark Horse comics put of the first Aliens vs Predator comic out in 1989-1990. I am old enough to remember reading them. so you can start there. Later Dark Horse comics and DC comics got together and put out a slew of Predator/Aliens vs Batman, Superman, The Terminator (yes THAT Terminator, there was even a Terminator vs Robocop video game) and others.

Loved the Reaction, The reason the Predator let the Female Cop live was because she was pregnant, a good hunter makes sure there is Prey for the future. A bit more of a fleshing out for you.....In the Book "Concrete Jungle" the main Cop was Dutchs' Brother, Who went missing after his first encounter in South America.....In the Film, Gary Buseys'(the Fed Guy) Role was supposed to be Arnie, I don't know how much the role was changed after he said No. Humans (Or Ooomans to the Yautja) are top level Prey that only the most capable are allowed to Hunt. That doesn't exclude us from being killed by them, just not Hunted for Trophies. In this film, the Yautja is looking for worthy Prey and sees it in Danny Glover, but to get him to his peak threat level he need to terrorize and remove his support base from him.....It also needed to make sure that he wouldn't be killed before the trophy could be claimed, that's why it was killing off the drug dealers and why it went after his friends. In some of the books, they elude towards the Trophies being for a chance to mate, only the strongest and best get that chance and the quality/strength of their trophies will determine if they get that chance. I've not read the comics but i have read every Predator, Alien and Alien Vs Predator Book out there.......I can Highly recommend the recent book trilogy called "Rage War", I won't be giving too much away by saying the 1st book is Human Vs Predator, the 2nd is Human Vs Alien and the 3rd is Human & Predator Vs Human & Alien......there are some Robots and other aliens scattered in the mix also. If you want a quick read that has a VERY strong female lead that kicks Serious Butt and earns respect from the Yautja then the 1st Alien Vs Predator Book is where to start, It's called "Aliens Vs Predator - Prey", This book is the novelization of the 1st Alien Vs Predator comic series.

There's also Judge Dredd vs Predator 😉

I liked Predator2 a lot more when I was a kid. The replay value is not as good as the first. He chases the same five cops around huge huge city of LA for no other reason but HORROR MOVIE. He is everywhere (everywhere the same five cops are!) The part where Danny Glover holds Gary Busey up against the wall looks suspiciously a lot like the part where Arnold held Carl Weathers up against the wall in the first one 🤔 fun fact Bill Paxton is the only actor to be killed by terminator alien and predator! I think “want some candy?” is weak sauce compared to the original predator’s “over here, over here, turn around! anytime...” Why don’t you get in my van? I’ll give you candy! 😅 they shot the predator six times in the chest with a shotgun. that would’ve killed him/it. Predator had to do first aid on itself after being shot once in the leg. I don’t think they know what movie they were making! The terminator had no problem being shot up 😎 except in the original when Arnie started to rot. Remember in the motel room- hey Buddy you got a dead cat in there or what!!! A human being defeats a predator in his own spaceship! I mean on his own turf. I don’t buy that for one minute, plus Danny Glover is not like the lead role tough guy Arnold is. he was the sidekick in 4 lethal weapons basically. The language is really juvenile at times and takes me right out of it. Pussyface! What kind of pussies have you been looking at, braaaaa? Btw, you’ve used the term Yautcha just now more than they have in ANY MOVIE!!! If you’d like to get into comics, that’s cool- I remember quite clearly a kid looking at Batman vs Predator comic on the schoolbus. And they did Robocop vs Terminator as well! A lot more “brave” choices than the movies. I was an 80s kid, but was still into comics thru the 90s. The MCU was like a miracle, but has overstayed its welcome in certain ways. Kind of like that party guest who just won’t leave after the celebration is over. It has replaced the need to look at comics for a lot of ppl. Should always check the source material! It’s probably waaay better. She-Hulk and Rings of Power are prime examples of failed endeavors. Should be wiped off the planet...

I can't remember, Was Predetor the one with Topher Grace? or Olivia Munn? I could just look that up but that is how unmemorable they were. Lauren, I promise you, everyone here is super excited to watch Prey with you because that movie deserved Hollywood openings. It makes the first movie just a movie while Prey is a film. The jump in refinement of story telling, character development, action, and cinemetography are all just so beautiful in Prey. I wont discuss the SFX because of course they aren better, we're 30+ years down the tech road but omg, everything about a movie that gives it enough substance to make it a film is there. It's like when you know that Jaws was a film but Jaws 3D was a movie. Despite Louis Gossit Jr.

I know a little about the Yautjas. First off on Predator the Yautja was called Jungle Hunter this one was called City Hunter. City Hunter was trying to achieve to be “Elite” a spot among his tribe, that tribe being called The Lost Tribe. The Shoulder Mounted Plasma Cluster is given to a Yautsa after he successfully achieved killing a Xenomorph. And that’s it I didn’t read any comics I follow some guy in YT that enjoys giving information about Yautjas. Also you should watch PREY ;)

Definitely an underrated movie, not many reactors watch this one and it's a damn shame!

Predator 2 may not be as good as the first movie. But this is one of those they don't make them like this anymore flicks. It's a damn good time .
