EARLY VIEWING - A Nightmare On Elm Street (1984)

Hullo friends! This video is set to come out this upcoming Friday on YouTube and I wanted to show it to you all here first to see what you think. If you watched my recent Evil Dead reaction which I had to reedit due to copyright issues (which is silly because I uploaded a COPY of the same video that's here on patreon and it got blocked ---literally the same video but one is blocked the other isn't, makes no sense), I've switched up how I edit a little to get passed those problems. Let me know what you think of it, your feedback would be greatly appreciated. I hope that it makes for a better viewing so let me know! Thanks a bunch <3

Part 2 is good. Some like it some don't. It has its place

Thank you Dredd I'm glad you enjoyed my reaction, what did you think of the new way I'm editing. I was hoping the jumpcuts wouldnt be too distracting but Im not sure. I feel jumpcuts are better since I can show more of the movie as opposed to what I was doing before with more blurs. I'm stoked to watch the sequels, regardless of if it's October Im still going to go ahead and watch those most likely lol

Loved your reaction as always Lauren! Aside from the first movie. I think part 3 is my absolute favorite. You really don't need to see part 2. It's almost like a stand-alone movie. My third favorite would be part 4, then part 5, then part 6, and last is part 2. Not counting Wes Craven's New Nightmare, Freddy Vs Jason or the remake.

It's worth watching it, as a Marker to just how good Wes Craven is :) Its not a terrible film, in my opinion it's just not the best of the franchise.

I'm excited to checkout the sequels, should I skip the 2nd one or is it necessary to watch before watching 3?

oh man that sounds awesome! I figured people might give me shit for having seen Freddy VS Jason first lol

I loved Freddy Vs Jason, it was actually the first movie I saw with ether Freddy or Jason, my Mom and Dad took me to see it at the drive in theater, it was a double feature with Open Water I think.

Deadly Mouse

Personally i find the 2nd film to be the worst of the franchise, and like GreenCrim says 1, 3, and a new nightmare are my favs.

Thanks for the feedback Green! Oh wow she looks like a tween, I would've never known, even funnier she said that then :D I look forward to the sequels, especially the Wes Craven ones

Hey LL, that was good. I was a little worried that you were going to have everything blurry to get past the copyright gods. But good stuff. Nancy's comment about how old she looked, Heather Langenkamp was 20 when they made this. This was supposed to be a stand alone movie, but Bob Shaye the producer saw the sequel potential and insisted on a ending where Freddy wasn't 100% dead. The best ones are 1, 3, and Wes Craven's new Nightmare because Wes was involved in them.
