The Evil Dead (1981) - MOVIE REACTION

WEEEEE today I've got my EVIL DEAD movie reaction for you guys! I had no idea how gruesome this movie was DEAR GAWD! I was cringing so much during some of the scenes it was GROSS lmao. I definitely thought this one was scary and I'm happy to have finally started the EVIL DEAD series. Thank you to Jason my MONSTER Patron for selecting this one for me to watch! I can't wait to watch the rest of them! I hope you enjoy my reaction.

I will be posting this reaction to YouTube October 21, DEE DEE <3

The Evil Dead (1981) - MOVIE REACTION

Unfortunately fire cant destroy the book. When they say Join Us at the end it means Ash is already becoming possessed. Evil Dead 2 picks up right were this one ends with the addition of a reshot recap because they didn't have the rights to the footage from the original film.

I love the Evil Dead franchise! I think ED 2 is even better than the first one, and the entire franchise is worth watching for its special effects creativity and the comedy. The second movie really owns its B movie status and makes fun of itself in such an honest way. It also has even more gore! That said, Peter Jackson's Braindead (aka Dead Alive) is in the same subgenre of gore and kind of owns the genre outright after 30+ years, even over the newer Evil Dead movies. It is considered to be the goriest movie ever made still today. There is kind of a friendly rivalry between Braindead and Evil Dead fans about what movie has the record for using the most fake blood on set, but at the end of the day, Braindead really is a work of art. Glad you enjoyed it Jason! Thanks for picking it out for me to watch!

"Stand back son, I kick arse for the Lord" - Fantastic Film, gore and laughs perfect for Halloween

I really enjoyed your reaction to this. The original release date was 10/15/1981. I wasn’t even born yet 😂. They made 2.7 million off of a 375,000 budget.

Try Peter Jackson's Braindead.

Can't wait to watch the rest of the franchise, no doubt its freaking awesome

I enjoyed the bit of humor they had in this, was done well lol. It really is hard to beat 80s movies they are just too good

My favorite horror franchise. Glad you liked in in a grossed out kinda way. To elaborate on what Tom said, they didn't have the rights to the first movie when they made the second. To get around this the first 15 odd minutes is a quick rehash of the first movie. The burning of the book is left out. The second movie proper starts when the demon comes through the cabin and slams into Ash where the first movie cuts to black, The action picks up from there. Really looking forward to your reaction to part 2.

I think I watched in in high school or college , like '85 or '86, it was awesome & scary! evil Dead 2 has a higher budget, and army of darkness much much higher - but they kept the same crazy monster appeal and weird humor. it's hard to beat these '80s movies!

I am excited to watch the rest of the series! Was a really good watch, scared the shit out of me lmao

A M A Z I N G ! just got finished watching your reaction! if you've ever wondered if a movie can be borderline silly while being disgusting and startling, well, now you know! now you immediately have to watch evil Dead 2, which is more of a reboot than a sequel.
