Oh wow, here we go with a whole new era, a whole new story, a whole new power system....AND ONE VERY FAMILIAR VILLAIN!!! NOOOOOOOO!!! I cannot BELIEVE he got Jonathan's body, after ALL THAT!!! I'm not quite sure about Jotaro yet, because we honestly haven't seen much of him aside from...well...some of his more coarse language! It's cool to have Joseph back and meet Holly, and get introduced to this very interesting new power. I'm curious to see where it's all going!!! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Though fun fact: These people made a Phantom Blood movie, but for some reason or another... It never made it to DVD. They made a game for it and everything too, it's kind of weird... As for the Jojo nickname in general... As long as it could *look* or just even sound like "Jo"... It's all good. 👍 I would be dying to see a Space story by Araki. ; o; It'd be so weird and interesting. .... Though don't worry about the Clint Eastwood picture... It was professionally done for the article, so it's easy to find. c:

Hmm, interesting point about getting started a bit more quickly on Stands, unless of course there's more to it! OHHH that actually makes more sense as to why he's Jojo - the placement of first/last names. As long as there's Jo in there somewhere, I guess we're good lol! Oh gotcha, I was wondering if we were gonna have Jojo in Space, as much as I'd like to see that haha!! No kidding about Clint Eastwood, please tell me there's a photo of that Jojo pose somewhere!!! :O Interesting perspective on Jotaro!!! I was still sizing him up at this point but I'm starting to get a better idea of what he's like. Hahahahaha those Joestar men are OXES, regardless of age :P

2023-01-20 11:29:48 +0000 UTCYou thought we’d be tackling Kars again this arc, but it was him… Dio! 😈 So the things I’ve picked up are: the reason the officers are completely confused is because they can’t see the Stands like the Joestars can. Jotaro might be a bit of a punk but he’s caring enough to lock himself down because he doesn’t know what’s happening to him. Honestly the way Jotaro talks to Holly kinda reminds me of the way Tai verbally soars with Yang (remember when he made a completely insensitive crack about her losing her arm and they both ended up laughing?) Will the STAR witness please take the STAND… Dio’s back! OHHHH NOOOOOOOOOO! 😁

For the longest time, many people thought this was a plothole because Araki forgot Erina escaped using the coffin, thus creating a second coffin from nowhere. But actually, in a short scene describing the coffin in episode 9 and also in this epsiode when you see the open coffin, you can see it has a false bottom - which makes sense for a vampire so that no one can kill him by just opening the coffin in broad daylight. DIO hid inside this compartment underneath Erina. Since Erina was likely rescued during the daylight hours, DIO couldn't make his escape at that time and Erina had no reason to take the coffin with her, so it sank to the bottom of the sea. Also yay! Part 3! You're correct, if you listen closely enough and get clarification from others, it's rather easy to just hear the references being made in people's names. So no big deal, convenience beats having *slightly* better understanding of Araki's weird sense of humor. My early favorite (possible) reference is actually the fishing boat itself. This is just a connection I made so I don't know if it's intentional. The state of the boat after DIO's attack is described as having "no sign of an attack, with coffee and food still present and undisturbed." This is eerily similar to the maritime mystery of the Mary Celeste, where an entire boat of people went missing and when the boat washed up, people's possessions were still present, along with food and beverages, not even old enough to have spoiled. In this case though, there were slight signs of violence. Very small amounts of blood in the captain's quarters and on the stairway leading to it. Anyway, this one is so subtle and inconsequential, it's kind of why I like it. But then, it's also why I might be wrong and it's just a coincidence. EDIT: I should finish the video before commenting lol. I didn't realize you noticed the false bottom. You're far ahead of multiple other JoJo fans then.

I’ve even seen an article that explains that you should start with 3. Which I wholeheartedly disagree with. DIO is back! Yay…. xd we will get a lot him moving forward. We will also learn a lot more about stands and where they come from and how DIO obtained his. And yeah now power system! Which I do think did a lot of wonders for this series. Though hamon is completely gone. We also have our first name change. I believe Avdol is supposed to be Abdul, a reference to Paula Abdul. Amazing reaction as always! Can’t wait to see what you think of the rest of this part!

Almost every stands in first half of part 3 is named with the first rule. You wanna guess what it is? It gonna tell you in a few episodes though.

2023-01-19 14:15:18 +0000 UTCCan you believe that some people started on Part 3 of Jojo's without seeing Part 1? ...Because back in the old days, the only legitimate way to see Jojo in the US was through the Part 3 OVAs. In 1993 there was a set that had a very small handful of battles from the second half of this part, one of which was the final battle. Then seven years later we got the second half, which actually tells the beginning. xD The only other way to get into Jojo was the Capcom fighting game back in the day of Part 3. Edit: Ah, nevermind! When it came out in the US, they put the two sets of OVAs in one box set. It was Japan that had to suffer the wait just for the FIRST set of episodes despite the finale being out for so long.... though they had access to the manga. xD Anywho! HAMON IS OLD, SAY HELLO TO THE NEW HOTNESS. This is pretty much the new system for Jojo's that will last the entire series, and I'm sure you can already see certain similarities from other power systems here... Nen... Personas... ;D It certainly offers more potential because you don't need that start up cost that Hamon has to get into Stands. ...Though it might depend how you get your stand. Maybe. And we have our new Jojo... Jotaro Kujo, which in Japan is read as Kujo Jotaro which is how you get 'Jojo' (KuJO-JOtaro.). ...Though next part we have a Jojo where the symbol of his name can be read as 'Jo', but it's not said as 'Jo'. xD Also since we're approaching the present, the time between each part will vary at this point. Could be anything from two years to a decade, but we're not going to jump 100 years into the future, as nuts that would be to see Araki's idea of the future. 🤣 But Jotaro is slightly based off Clint Eastwood(Araki even met with Clint Eastwood recently and had him do one of Jotaro's famous poses for the camera!), I'm sure you'll see his influences with how Jotaro conducts himself in a fight. ...To be honest, I always saw him as a dork trying too hard to look cool. xD He's just lucky that Joestar blood made him built like an Ox. Speaking of built like an Ox, HOLY CRAP DO I WISH I CAN LOOK AS GREAT AS GRANDPA JOSEPH DOES AT THAT AGE.
