But I ended up cutting it because I felt it subtracted from from the actual joke and slowed down the pace. And no one ever dares argue with me - R

Alan's expressions are wonderful in the final cut. They really do convey, much better than words, his dismay both about an execution in front of him and also the incredulous release of the prisoner. Love the skit.
