I knew the brother was gonna be wrapped up in this in the worst way. Dang, this dude has a grudge against Loid AND Twlight! Good thing he seems to be completely blindsided by anything involving his sister....it would seem to be his only weakness :O Looks like the love of harming folks really runs in the family haha. How on earth is this so wholesome?! Also, TO END ME ON THAT WOULD-BE KISS, OMG!!!!! This one totally had me squealing! Great ep! Enjoy! ~ MH

Oh yeah, I'm sure there's more to learn about Yuri, and he was definitely full of disdain for Twilight. Yeah him buying the story was a surprise but I guess it makes sense when it comes to how he feels about his sister. Also the scene where he realized what Yuri's doing is so well done! Ohhhh that's a good point that the story is not so different from Loid's description a few eps ago. Hahahaha who knew a man giving his wife a kiss could be so tense?!!?! And yeah, I think there's definitely something there. Hahahaha Anya missed out on all the shenanigans! WAKU WAKU!!!

That's such a great point about Yuri being a Japanese or a Russian name....that definitely adds even more mystery haha. He definitely has a similar switch-flip to his sister. Oh wow, that real life tie-in with the foreign minister makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the info!

2022-09-10 15:17:35 +0000 UTCOne thing you can always count on your anime to do is to throw you curve balls to make sure nothing ever goes exactly as planned, and this is no exception. You mentioned Twilightβs walks, but his handler noticed he was having a harder time lying: although, to be honest, four months to gain eight Stella for Anya is a bit of a stretch. Yuriβs a bit of anβ¦ interesting character, but there are some things I canβt fully remark on yet. But he mentioned Twilight the way super villains name James Bond. While he has no idea who he is personally, everyone in the secret police knows who their biggest adversary is. Yor actually placated Yuri exactly the way she promised: she was honest about being a scatterbrained. Itβs so outlandish and ridiculous that even Loidβs got a hard time believing Yuri bought it. But the deception heβs trying to use actually led Loid to call his bluff. Whatβs interesting is the story Yuri tells about Yor is not all that different from the tale Loid told everyone earlier about her sacrificing herself for the sake of her brother. Also, Yorβs still not sure how she really feels about Loid, but sheβs definitely feeling SOMETHING, otherwise her reactions wouldnβt be as high strung as they are. Also, think thatβs the worst youβve been cliffhanged in a while? Wow, a man is about to kiss his pretend wife, who knew itβd be so dramatic? Anya was asleep the entire episode. Thatβs probably a good thing. Can you imagine the chaos if she was in the room? (Iβm making the face again, arenβt I?) This canβt possibly get any more complicated and ridiculousβ¦ can it? WAKU WAKU! π

2022-09-10 00:09:57 +0000 UTCMore interesting East German trivia.....while Eden College's red brick facade is incredibly reminiscent of the Rotes Rathaus, the fictional City Hall here with the white marble facade is *architecturally* VERY similar to it. Also, the Secret Police HQ does very much look like actual Stasi HQ in former East Berlin (today it is a museum). Die Stasi = slang for MfS, Ministerium fΓΌr Staatssicherheit, or Ministry of State Security, i.e. the East German Secret Police. Much like Yor, Yuri, too can flip on a dime to his darker persona. Also, while it's a common Japanese name, it's also a Russian name (probably intentional allusion, too...giving Yuri additional KGB vibes as well).

2022-09-09 13:20:23 +0000 UTCHi Hime :) If you pay attention, all the passages where Damian remembers Anya during the apology passage, shows Anya even prettier than she was. It is the power of love hehe. Otherwise, Loid getting to know Bondman so he can help Anya learn that way is cute. Funny how the Briars, brother and sister, can both be cute, all while being awfully scary the next scene. And that neither of them can handle the alcohol either. The dinner with Yuri is an excellent passage, both for the mindgame between Yuri and Loid, but also for the humor of drunken Yuri and his jealousy towards "Loidi". They cut you off in a passage you were expecting but I assure you, it will be worth it lol.
