Added 2022-08-19 11:24:56 +0000 UTCHey everyone! Here I am with episode 2 of Spy x Family, yayyyyy!!! I'm really enjoying Yor so far! I love that she's polite and shy but also absolutely lethal! I was totally won over for their ship in the scene where Twilight bursts in and forgets half their cover story lol, covered in blood no less. And also that fight scene, complete with grenade clip engagement ring!!! Squee!!! Now I can't wait to see their family dynamic, all three of them! So happy I'm watching this! Enjoy! ~ MH

Hahahha leave this to Anya :P Hahaha lies upon lies with the other not realizing as things escalate into a proposal - I don't see what could go wrong here! Yes, someone mentioned the VA!!! Wow, she's got quite the resume!!! I knew she could sing from the Ice Queendom ending, so cool that she does this one too! That's not a huge stretch about Ruby I guess haha. Yeah they managed to be boss and awkward all at the same time, really impressive! I'll try to pay close attention to the details! OMG, this show is fresh baked chocolate cookies for my soul :D

2022-08-23 13:44:28 +0000 UTCAutocorrect actually got me in the last episode - the country they’re infiltrating is called Ostania. Couldn’t edit cause didn’t want to risk the comment disappearing. We’ve covered the other two in Mission 1, but this is really about Yor. As you can see, Ostania isn’t exactly a free country. We’ve got a definite vibe of West/East Germany going on here as the first scene is those girls talking about people being dragged away under suspicion. A good thing to compare it to would be another show you’ve done, Chernobyl - and the lack of freedom to move around people had under that government. It’s one reason why Yor is singled out as much as she’s being. Of course, as soon as Anya finds out our woman is an assassin she just HAS to start playing matchmaker. The best way to describe Yor would be she’s equal parts demure, awkward, and ruthless. While she does actually “buy” what Loid is selling her, she’s trying to keep her own secrets and agenda intact at the same time. So you e got two people who lie for a living and they’re trying to one up each other without realizing it. What could go wrong? A quick side note: I do believe someone mentioned this already, but Yor’s VA is indeed the Japanese Ruby. As I mentioned before she’s also done Nishimiya in A Silent Voice, Therese in Rising of the Shield Hero, and Fubuki in One Punch Man. She is also the singer on the end cards of RWBY: Ice Queendom. She’s quickly becoming one of my favorite seiyuus. I mean calling her a more lethal version of Ruby isn’t that wrong… and it is pretty fun to watch the two of them turn the tables on Camilla while not losing any of their own awkwardness. Somehow it works. By the wait his is a fun show, but there are definitely going to be… shenanigans. Nothings done by accident so keep your ears out. Remember a few months ago when I told you this show was a fresh baked chocolate chip cookie and you needed to get into it immediately? I think you understand what I meant now. 😁

2022-08-21 13:37:15 +0000 UTCI know you want to avoid the next episode preview but the actual ED is cute and worth a watch in itself (the music is the same as the ED in Ep.1 but the visuals are different; it's the canon ED for the rest of the show.); I love this show's OST in general.....very jazzy. More East Germany motifs in the official OP (Loid is driving a Trabant, which was one of the most affordable East German car makes during the Cold War, plus the AK-47s used by the Nationaler Volksarmee, etc.)....and the scene where the ladies discuss a late 20-something woman being arrested, those individuals definitely look like East German Volkspolitzei )....the match isn't 1-to-1 but very evocative of all things GDR.

Omg, I think you're right. I'm already in love with the whole plot, character set and premise!!!!!!! Can't wait for more!

Anya is the cutest child in anime and frankly, for another kid to surpass her, you'll have to be strong. Interesting little fact about Yor, she has the same voice actress as Ruby in Ice Queendome, so if you say you recognize the voice, it's normal. Speaking of voices, Franky shares his voice actor with Present Mic by the way. I can already tell you that you are going to love the dose of cuteness (and other stuff) from Anya, just as much as you are going to love Papa Loid and Mama Yor. You will also love to see them in action.
