Kamen Rider Revice 1x42 "Fierce Battle! Crimson Vail and Destream" - reaction & review
Added 2022-07-08 11:17:52 +0000 UTCHey everyone! I'm here with some Kamen Rider Revice today - here is my reaction to episode 42! WHOAAAA!!!! This was way more emotional than I was expecting! Dad KILLED it out there, holding his own against Vail as Destream, and finally making a sort of peace with Vail and re-joining with him, taking a page out of Ikki's book. All while Daiji looks on and hopefully learns a thing or two!!!! And I really think he had, only before we could all reunite....out comes GIFF!!! Uh oh, I smell a final boss battle coming! Also, well done and RIP to George's dad!!!! We're truly in the endgame now....what's next?! Can't wait to find out! Great ep! Enjoy!!! ~ MH

Ahhh no way, I didn't even realize the croc was based on Decade! Really really fun that there were so many references to past Riders. And that's interesting about the reference for Genta's transformation, particularly as it relates to restoring family honor. Love that both moms sang the song!!!!!!! Oh wow, so that's it for Vail, period! HMMMMM very interesting about the photo too!! Awww that's fun that the thumbs up is a Kuuga reference!!!! I love how subtle they've gotten with all the nods here. I wouldn't even know them if you didn't explain them! Thanks!

As we all already know, Kong is based on Fourze, and the Kong's Gloves Destream held are taken from Vice's Kong Genome. While Komodo Dragon is based on Kamen Rider Ryuki motif, the knuckle Destream used is repainted from Another Ryuki, a monster from Kamen Rider Zi-O: Rider Time Ryuki. (It's the spin-off episodes which I think you never watch.) Lastly, the Crocodile is based on Wizard! One of my favorite rider! The arm piece was repainted from Demons' Mogura (Mole) Genomix. There are one more Vistamp they said to sell as movie exclusive. I don't know will it have any role in the series or movie. And the one Daddy Karizaki used at the beginning is Triceratops, shorten as Tricera (they pronounce the word To-ri-ke-ra). It is based on Agito. - Kamen Rider Destream's undersuit was taken from Kamen Rider Century, the exclusive rider of Saber×Revice movie. - Genta's transformation pose is inspired by Harakiri, it is a form of Japanese ritual suicide by disembowelment. It was originally reserved for samurai in their code of honor but was also practiced by other Japanese people during the Shōwa period (particularly officers near the end of World War II) to restore honor for themselves or for their families. As this ritual require a lot of mental preparation, it's convey Genta's preparation for his final fight with Vail and to show Daiji his decision. - The song played is called "My dream", it is an ending theme (ED) from Revice Legacy: Kamen Rider Vail. It was performed by Kurara Emi (Present Mom) and Sakurako Okubo (Younger mom). - This episode might mark the end of Vail's role, as his voice actor is already receive a bunch of flowers. And for some reason, Ikki and Daiji also presents in the picture taken with Vail's Voice Actor. Interestingly, Daiji's actor presents in the costume that looks like Kagerou. - Interestingly, the thumbs up of Karizaki family is also Kamen Rider Kuuga's signature pose, this might be a reference or the actual intent of the series. Maybe George habit of giving a thumb might not being only a ref to Kuuga (His actor favorite), but also convey their family bond.
