Star Wars: The Clone Wars 7x11: "Shattered" reaction & review

Hey everyone!  Here's my reaction and review of Clone Wars 7x11!  Oh dang you guys....this was the one.......this was the one where it all went down, and we get to see the whole thing happen through Ahsoka's eyes.  I've called it for so long now that Rex would FIGHT Order 66 and I was right...he did he best he could to protect Ahsoka :'D  And the way she felt Anakin turn.....I felt that in my SOUL!!!!  But our girl is incredibly quick, and thanks to the hard work done by our long lost Fives back a few seasons ago, she was able to put it together just in time to get that chip out of Rex's head!!!  Gotta say, thinking that we saved Rex here is a huge trade-off for me when it comes to all the other stuff we've lost!  Oh yeah, and letting Maul loose.....WOW :P  I could never root for him, but watching him in action is always entertaining!  Such a great ep!  See you in the finale!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

I hear you! There was still a lot of tension even if you know some of what comes next. What a scene!!! Omg, hope you love my reaction to the finale!!

The music that played from when they started escorting Maul onto the ship to when Order 66 happened had me so tense and full of dread. I unfortunately knew Ahsoka would be okay, but seeing everything with Rex, not knowing if he would survive was enough by itself. Maul just tearing everything up in that hallway scene was great. And now, we only have the finale left…

Yes!!! I agree, it was so well done!

I think the atmosphere created before order 66 in this episode incredible - in no small part due to the music and imagery. Immense …

Yes!!! Such true words from Hitchcock, a true master of suspense. Watching Rex try to resist was so heartbreaking, and that's true about Fives' experience literally being a lifesaver in this arc.

Melissa Moore

The suspense from when Ahsoka leaves Bo-Katan (which helps solidify their link in the Mandalorian), to the Order 66 scene, is unbearable. Hitchcock once said that the most horrific thing is us as the audience, know that there is a bomb about to go off, when our protagonists don't. And this is the case here, as Ahsoka boards that cruiser with hundreds of clones about to be turned on her, including our beloved Rex. He held off as best he could, and Fives sacrifice at least counted for something, as Ahsoka wouldn't be alive if not for him.
