Legend of Vox Machina 1x06 "Spark of Rebellion" - reaction & review

Hey everyone!  Welcome back, I am back today, with episode 6 of Legend of Vox Machina!!!  Oh dang, so many big reveals in this ep!  Pike's issues aren't actually the curse at all, but rather something in herself; Percy has a long lost friend who's still around and trying to save their hometown by leading a rebellion; and PERCY'S SISTER, omg!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I immediately need to know what the details of that story are, even though I think I might be able to fill in a few of the blanks myself.  All around great action and lots of fun in this one too.  Can't believe we're halfway through!  Great ep!  Enjoy!  ~ MH

Yes, it all worked so well!!! And so true that now you get to see everything described in the campaign actually visually represented. So cool!

OH!!! I did NOT notice that..........WHOA :O

Notice that Percy also fired 7-8 shots at Stonefell, from a gun that only holds 6 bullets.

I really love how they portrayed the smoke and mask, cause just watching the campaign it was a little hard to picture that stuff, so seeing how looks is really cool.

So true!!! They've really made his story interesting and engaging!!

Ohhhh I see!!! That's clever. Wow, I love that some of the backstory was so vague that it was even a mystery as the game unfolded. Ohhh thanks for clearing that up about the giants!!!

Relatable. I didn’t hate Percy or anything but I feel like this show really put him up in terms of my favorites, the way they handle his arc is great!

In the original game, whenever Percy attacked someone who was on his list, he dealt extra damage. Mercer's way of integrating story and gameplay, showing that there was something more going on behind the scenes than simple anger. Taliesin Jaffe, when he wrote Percy's backstory, left some of the details vague so that Mercer could add to it and so that he himself had the potential to be surprised by revelations. The entire thing with the smoke emitting from him was something unknown to him as the player. Those giants are undead stone giants. They cut it out here, likely for time and pacing purposes, but on their way to Whitestone, the party in the campaign came across a seemingly abandoned stone giant fortress that had evidence of violence but no bodies behind. This solved the mystery as to what had happened.

Oh it's such a great moment!!!!!!!!!!! XD In a way I'm scared for Percy's rage but it's also really awesome to watch hahaha!

Percy killing Stonefell is one of my favorite scenes, it’s so cool! When you see his eyes and he says “ I wanted you to know it was me” is so freaking awesome!
